Awesome videos, My first gen has a rougher idle, might have to try this to smooth it out.

      Thanks,
May I also suggest if you have not done so already, check the plugs, wires, boot's and coil's. Age has a way of degrading these.
I wen't through everything on my bike for similar reasons. The coils/wires, injectors, throttle body cleaning & sync all contributed.

what year is your bike. I have a 2006.....same part? And if so where did you get the boots to make the engine block side fit?

Hello, it's a 2005. No. This injector is for Gen 1 only. The seals I got from partzilla.com or mrcycles.com. Hope this helps

@@mikesfjrcorner7129 Hey there Mike. Thank you very much. I have a 2006 that I let sit for 6 years. The fuel turned to mush and the injectors were nasty. I found out today that they actually cleaned up well and the bike is back up and running great. I bought the bike new in 08, no one wanted it because of the electronic shifting so got a great deal on a 2 year old new left over. Ive owned it for 12 years and only have 30k miles on it, cant believe i let it sit so long. The bike is spotless and im looking forward to getting back on her.

I might need injectors on my 2004. So do I use the first or 2nd link?
The idling on my bike isnt doing to well.. perhaps coz the previous owner had the bike standing for 2 months?
Also, do you have a video where you replace the back covers of the clocks?
Do you have an email address I could reach you on?

The links are just examples of where to find them. The top link shows the injectors and what vehicle they fit and the bottom link is a search of the injectors. You can purchase the from any supplier as long as it's a bosch CDH-275 and can fit the Mitsubishi Diamante or the Yamaha 150 outboard motor. You can also find them on amazon or any parts supplier that sells rebuilt injectors. Check the injectors on your bike. It should have the bosch CDH-275 number stamped on the side. You will need the seal from Yamaha that goes into the throttle body as the seal that comes with the injector is slightly bigger. Also, may I suggest cleaning the throttle body, check plugs, wires and coils. Also maybe flush the tank and check the fuel pump for pressure. I think there is also a filter in the tank on the pump.
No I don't have a video. I did this when I first got the bike before I started making videos.
If you look at the video for HID installation, this covers getting to the instrument cluster. Remove the instrument cluster with the four screws holding it on the back of the assembly and remove the plug connection. open the cluster by removing the screws on the back of the assembly and the two half's should separate. I don't remember, but I think there may be a few screws holding the plastic face on. Be careful not to touch or move the dial needles as these are delicate. With the cluster sitting on it's back and the plastic face off, make note of the dial needle's position and height. Use two small spoons to pry up on the center shaft of the dial by carefully placing the front edge of the two spoons under each side of the dial shaft with the bowl of the spoon's touching the face of the gauge and gently press down on the spoons handles. This causes a straight upward pressure on the dial needle at the shaft without touching or moving it, the dial needle should pop off the shaft fairly easily. Now remove the two screws on the gauge face plate, replace the gauge face plate with the new one and lightly tighten the screws. Put the dial needle back on the shaft while being careful that the needle is in it's original position we noted earlier. lightly push down on the dial needle on the shaft until it's at it's original height.
Put together the front and back covers and replace the screws, put it on the bike and take it for a short ride, use a GPS on your phone that shows your speed and verify the speed is correctly shown on the gauge. If you did everything right without changing the needle's position, the speed should be correct. If it's wrong then you may have to open the cluster, remove the needle as above and adjust the dial needle's position accordingly. Once you verified the speed is correct, then finish putting the bike back together using the HID Installation video.
      Hope this help's.

Hi Mike, thank you for your videos. They are very helpful. Now, my fjr 1300 2004 is not starting. It has 107,000 miles. It cranks very good but I can't get it to start. I replaced de spark plugs but no luck. Do you think it's the injectors?

    • @mikesfjrcorner7129

Try some eather in the intake. If it fuel related then the engine will try to start. If not, then it's something else and we we can go from there.

@@mikesfjrcorner7129 I tested the injectors today with a 12 v battery and cleaned them with a spray cleaner and the injectors were shooting good. Also, I looked at the hoses where the fuel goes to the injectors and they had gas, so, to me that means the gas pump is working fine.Im going to try doing the compression test. I think my bike is done for what I see

Hello, it's inside on the crank in the right side engine case where the timing chain is. It provides the timing pulse to the ecu. Do the compression check. If that's ok, then maybe get somebody to look at it. There's always a reason. Thanks
