Thanks for this, man. I have a 2002 Maxima SE and am troubleshooting a misfire on cylinder #6, I believe I could have a leaky/faulty injector. Our cars have the same motor, except yours is longitudally mounted. It looks like both rails have to come out even if you're only replacing an injector on a specific cylinder bank.

On the VQ35DE when removing the fuel rail for a headgasket job would I have to release the fuel pressure?

what you could do is pull the fuel pump fuse, run it until it burns up the rest of the fuel, then do the procedure

I have a p302 cylinder 2 misfire code but only a slight pop audible from the exhaust at idle car still runs fine and has power. I have swapped the coil pack and spark plug between cylinders 2 and 4 and the code stayed on cylinder 2. Is this more likely to be the intake gasket or injector? I only use 91 octane Mobil gas and the check engine light never blinks only comes on after a few days of driving.

@@5ermad Mine was the intake plenum gasket between the upper and lower parts of the intake manifold. Fixed the pop at idle and CEL.

fbjc100 is for the 3.0L, this is the FBJC101.. for the newer versions of the VQ35DE engine uses Bosch part # 0280158005, a popular upgrade for anybody looking to update early 2000's jecs injectors
