Never thought I'd live to see the day when Sammy Hagar was singing a Dead tune. Priceless. Mayer's been the shot of adrenaline that the Dead's music needed.
John Mayer has given us all so much quality music since he's been on the radar!! He at the top of his game and i hope he continues to ride the wave for a long long time. More tours JM!
John Mayer is the kind of exceptionally gifted musician that comes along only once in a great while...He writes ,sings and plays the guitar like no one else! Thank you for posting this Gem!
Man do i love this video. Been looping it non-stop since it got uploaded. When John starts the FOTM riff i just want to cry. Just how he plays it, so playful and groovy. Thank god for The Grateful Dead and all the joy it has brought to so many people around the world.
John Mayer was sent to Deadheads as a gift from the now angel👼 Jerry. He has infused Dead and Co with a shot of energy and enthusiasm ensuring the vibe of the band lives on. I saw my first show in '78, and spent this June show at Citi Field with a group of 16 year olds who knew the words to every song..🤗
Legendary!!! My girlfriend and I had seats in the nose bleeds. When John teased China Cat we got up to go boogie at the Mezzanine where we were gifted Floor Seats... DEAD TO THE CORE!!!! ❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶
Took a couple minutes before I realized it wasn't only Sammy, the and the audience dancing and grooving but ME too in my seat at work in the cafeteria with a big freaking SMILE on my face!!!
I was at this concert and the amount of energy on stage during this song was incredible. This whole concert was energetic but this performance took it to a whole different level.
And the video of the year goes too!!! The circle is complete. This is History. Thank you SO very much for this piece of morning bliss. God Bless all of you that gave John a chance. He is the man. See you all in Mexico 2020!!! P.S. Not too shabby Sammy! And of course Bobby! We will love you eternally!
Wow... I've always wanted to hear Dead & Company do this song, but I'll settle for this. That first guitar solo was tremendous, and just that brilliant Bobby Weir tone, Bobby playing lead, wow, wow.
Funny how the future has brought together a couple of old timers (minus John) from totally different genres. Just shows how small the group is nowadays of the classic artists. Dead & co is a place where Sammy, Bob, and many other classic artists including younger heads like John can celebrate what’s left of a dwindling community of different artists who made some of the greatest music in history
Great video! Love to see all the different avenues that John and Bobby seem to pop up these days. 😊 On a side note, this seems slightly faster pace (good thing) than Dead and Co tempo songs. If they get to a faster tempo, all the Deadheads tempo picky people (I'm guilty of it sometimes) will have very little to complain about since John is talented enough without a doubt.
hahahahahah wowowow this is just so so good my only reaction right now is to laugh. wow john is too talented,.. what a fucking band too. sammy hagar’s energy is outstanding, bobby weirs a goddamn legend, and johnny… just wow, guy has it ALL! what a video. this makes me so incredibly happy
Thanks Pop,no problem John boy- be careful your fans will start expecting 20 min psychedelic explorations and watch you melt into a puddle- Viva La Grateful Dead!
Hold on to moments like this, friends.
Clay Councilman hold on tight and don’t let go!
Amen!
Hellyeah brother
Love ya'll 🙏😊

@Harris Cool.
@@ericgeier8611 I saw him play at Alpine in the early furthur years. I think it was 97. They all jammed together at the end.
@@StreamingFatha Awesome.
they are neighbors
@Huckleberry Quick Well... technically I was starting kindergarten when Fire on the Mountain was written.... but I get your point :)
Can always tell when the camera person isn't a guitar player
hahahah this is so true
*is your profile pic a 64 strat* ?
Absolutely!

Bobby and John is a match made in heaven. they even have the same birthday.
agreed

John, is awesome but Sammy Hagar and Bob Weir are not Leftovers....
These are 2 Seasoned Veteran Musicians.
I love that PRS that John plays. I have a family member that works for PRS and he sneaks us pics of the guitars they make for him.
Thomas Gieseler you wanna share those pictures? I would love to get the up close of the exclusive guitars John is playing these days.
🤤🤤🤤🤤
You know John’s band was loving this
Interesting to see Bobby playing on one of John’s songs. Love it!
its about time
I watched a documentary on Bob Weir, what a talent!!!!

Totally agree
Bob kills it. You can tell John’s sound crew has his guitar tone sounding a little bit better too😃
I literally stood up from my bed and started dancing halfway through. So glad to have found the GD through John

John Mayer, talented at playing like other people, and made millions doing it, good on that dude.
LOVE this! This song is what turned me onto Mayer.... I'm a fan now!

Really love the tone in Bobby's guitar in this one. (Heck, they all sound great because, well, they're really good.)
Noticed that Bob really gets off on playing, especially in his Wolf Bros trio, definitely here as well.
@@rperkins723 Absolutely. So inspiring to see someone that passionate about their art, especially after doing it for six decades. Love it!
You can't even here his guitar in the mix.
That was even better than I thought it would be.
The joy this moment brings to the crowd and our 3 heroes is priceless. Sammy appears to be feeling the GD vibe and loving every minute of it.
Keep coming back to this, love the joy!
Sweet Jam...
Mayer and Company!
Bobby and Sammy sound great...
Can't wait for the fall tour...
Recall the Days that Still are to Come...

Thanks for this. Love seeing the boy and the man playing together.
Wow this is so Amazing ❤❤🔥🔥 I'm a 48 year old man just balling over here 😍😭😍😭😍😭😍😭😭
Tears of all ages! 😂🎶❤️🙏.

Sammy gave me some Brent vibes! Enjoy the sun and sand!
@@mikefernandez7732 exactly. The Fire at 11:16 gave me chills. So good
This is AMAZING! No doubt Jerry was watching over this & smiling from ear to ear ❤️
Jerry died in 1995.
WHOA! Bobby -> Sammy -> Johnny on Fire! Mind Blown
I’m thinking this jam tune would be a good choice for Dead &Co to cover
Every time I see this version of "Fire: it puts a smile on my face!
AWESOME JAM

So awesome I loved it so much
This makes me more than happy. I am so GRATEFUL for John! Loved Bob forever.
Love it Mayer is on my bucket list.
Sammy has more energy than someone 30 years younger than him!! I saw him with VH in the 80's....I'll never forget how cool that was!
B-Man 123 And his hair is still amazing
His energy, positive attitude and outlook on life is contagious. Wish it could be bottled!!!
so groovy..music fills the soul in so many ways!
Smooth transition. Almost like they were meant to go together.
Mayer has been playing these two together for a while, a couple of years.
Thanks for sharing Roman Gokhman
Sammy should go on tour with John and play all Van Hagar !!!!
I hate when people filming can’t figure out which guitar player is soloing and keep on insisting on the wrong one 😂
Nice to hear Bob take a solo for a change!
Roman, that was awesome!!! thanks sooo much!!!!
Thanks for capturing this. I saw JM a couple nights before in LA. Magical shows!
Very, very special jams,
SUPER SESSION
Good Video Quality! Can't wait to see Bobby next week. Wolf Bros!

Thank you!! Show was so amazing!
Thanks for the wonderful video!
Sammy should've had either an acoustic, or a twirling dress...love him.
I vote for the dress
Hilarious, but only a few of us will fully get it...
Love to hear Bobby playing John's songs. Now can we get a Something Like Olivia?

Thank you JM!
So, so, so good. Thx for posting.
John's looking at Bob like, now do it the way I showed you.
Wait a tick! The Red Rocker is now the Dead Rocker?! Nice!!!
Your voice sounds great Sammy!!!
Why is the camera zoomed in on Bob at the 2:00 solo?
Someone doesn't know what's going on here.
Most Excellent 🙏👌😊☮️
4:20 I didn't know David Harbour played drums!
That was awesome!
love this... such positive energy
