Super simple swap to do things needed to v8 swap your nbs are
V8 engine harness from same year truck
Frame mounts for v8
Fuel line adapters and fuel lines for your intake manifold setup
V8 radiator and coolant hoses
V8 same year ecu and bcm
Items needed for the stick shift swap
I used a oem nv3500 from a Silverado
Crossmember was a oem nv3500 from a Silverado
Drive shaft was a oem nv3500 from a Silverado
Clutch pedal was a oem one
Clutch max stage 3 clutch for a nv3500
Engine specs

243 heads
Tbbs intake manifold and injectors
92m tb
New oil pump and gaskets

Hell yeah bro I did the same thing with a 5 speed but I messed up with getting a aftermarket harness so I don’t got ac and had to move my ecu inside the cab and fuse box too
Go back to a oem harness even a auto one will work just jump the neutral safety switch

Hey bro I got the same clutch kit, when you installed the clutch disk did you put the flat side of the splines of the disk towards the motor or transmission?

Could you cover more on the auto to manual conversion? Do all the parts off a factory manual truck bolt right up to a factory auto truck? Like the clutch pedal, and master, shifter hole?
Eveything will bolt up
Shifted hole template is there just cut it out
Clutch peddle guild is there just drill the hole
The master is the hole for the pedal
Crossmember will need to be modified or find a Manuel one like me will bolt up
Will need a driveshaft made
Or find a oem Manuel one

Hi I was just wondering do you need to change the differentials on the truck and can the stock V6 gear (4l60E) i think… because i heard that the 4l60 on the V6 is different than the V8 4l60 … could it handle the V8 engine or do i need to do also a gear swap and what gears do you recommend if the gear swap is needed … I own a 2000 V6 sierra and planning a swap in the future 🤕
I believe all 4l60 are the same if u want a better trans get a 4l80

I have a Manuel computer in mine but the auto should work , I would still get it tuned/flashed for a Manuel setup and get it all dialed

You’ll need the v8 frame mounts and motor mounts from same year and style truck.
Also the engine harness ecu and matching bcm
Fuel line adapters all v8 radiator hoes and v8 ac lines, seems like a lot but it’s not

@@jorgerosales4559 you can make them work still takes a little time and work , either tap into the sensor needed for your oem cluster
Or depending on what ecu setup you go with you can get a digital cluster that shows all your gauges

Just measure right while the truck is on the ground we may have different lengths depending what version of this transmission is the donor car .

No I used the bigger radiator so I can add electric fans

No the yoke is the same style as a 4l80 and it’s different size drive shaft length aswell
@Shittyyluck did u have a custom drive shaft made or did u find one from a nv3500 rcsb. I also heard u can have a long bed drive shaft or extended cab drive shaft shortened to make fit. Also what did u do for the cross member.

You can use a auto harnss just jump the neutral safety switch
No need to delete the vats when u get the ecu and matching bcm just do a key relearn

Re gasket the motor clean it new oil pump and slapped some 243 heads for more power

I have a 2002 one and a half cab with the 5.3 and i love this truck. got 384,000 out of the motor then just recently swapped a new one in. wish i could put the 6.0 in but I'm in cali sadly and it wouldnt pass smog. btw, what kind of changes do you have to make on the ecm in order to run a 5 speed and 6.0?

Ecm is an oem 4.8 5speed I found from a parts truck, funny thing is it runs on it fine without tunning it for the 6.0 but I am gonna get it tuned to get it running a1.
@Shittyyluck interesting, my older brother made it a big deal that fuel calculations would be way off. Well thanks man. You think I'd be fine running the same ecm with a 6.0, and is it possible to get it tuned?
@@Thomas-pt2bt yes air fuel ratios are off that’s for sure just saying it’ll run it, just needs fine tunning. With hp tuners you’ll be able to calibrate the tune. Will be posting soon once I get it tuned.

Unless your lq4 was paired with a nv3500 from facorty it would
If it was a auto harness it won’t connect to the nv3500 but will still work just need to jump the neutral safety switch

Did you reuse your headers and catalytic converters ?
I got stock v8 exhaust manifolds but I reused the mid pipes cats and exhaust eveything was a bolt on they were the same as the v6/v8.
@@Shittyyluck okay because i'm thinking of swapping also i'm with the 4.8 V8 right now and want something bigger like 5.3 or 6.0. So i should be able to transfer those old parts with no problems correct because i wasn't for sure if the converters would fit bigger motor
