- Just like when they reacted to Metallica, a lot of these kids are taken back by the brashness of Iron Maiden. Maybe one day the Fine Bros will give us Kids React to Dream Theater!

I've see Iron Maiden twice (once with Dream Theater) and the other was the Book of Souls Tour. I've seen and met Paul Di'Anno. Iron Maiden I feel are that band that everyone needs to see live at least once. My cousin gave me a photo album with pictures she took when Brucey Bruce had his long hair (yes kids before digital cameras you had to use film to take pictures). You are missing out on a rite of passage as a metal head and even as a non metal head, if you haven't seen them live. Bruce's energy at his age is incredible! Also it's pretty awesome to see the current incarnation of Eddie come out.
Very cool girl you're lucky!!
Seeing them July 11! First time!
Saw them last year at Wacken Open Air.. It was freaking AWESOME! it was raining like shit and I was standing in mud to the knees and still was the best concert of the whole festival
Ha Ha i get to see them 2 days before you on July 9th. Up the Irons!
I have to agree dude, they are my favorite band and live they are amazing. Just saw them last week for the 3rd time.
nothing beats a good a guitar person solo
lmfao
Become The Knight I love how your future self corrects yourself :)
Become The Knight you need to check out crazy Lixx, NiteRain, CrashDiet, and Kissin' Dynamite. Honestly. They are just like 80s metal. They are not any alternative shit.
Jackson Kirkpatrick A good bass player can be VERY cool to.
Schulze Designs bass players are badass dude
I think metallica bribed Tyler to say he hates maiden
The way Megadeth bribed the sound guy to play their song to Metallica's entrance at the Grammys........
Become The Knight Wait, what?
Cyrus Chettri Basically the House Band played Master of Puppets for Megadeth when they got the Grammy award
My memory isn’t the best, but I think that was it
Become The Knight I think that's supposed to be the other way around haha

I would love it if a pop station just randomly put on an Iron Maiden song. I feel people listening would be so confused.

It happened once on 5FM in South Africa. The live version of Fear Of The Dark - played until the very end. It was awesome 😎

The drums on " Hallowed be thy Name" is Clive Burr.
He left Iron Maiden after the "Number of the Beast" tour.
Unfortunately he has passed away in 2013.
On Taka I was going to comment on that but then I realized there has to be someone who already posted that.

Beautiful

how is your son? I think he's 4 now
Amidst this burning hell, this gives me hope🤘🤘🤘🤘
@@Bipolax4 My son just turned 6. Hes still jamming out to Maiden. He can kinda sing along now.
Fun fact: the scream in the beginning of the number of the beast was actually the result of Bruce getting annoyed at the producer, who forced him to sing the introduction repeatedly for hours on end, so It was actually recorded in one take and was just imprivised.
I don't believe it was improvised but I did hear it was the first take. Awesome story
I was about to comment about this, but you've done it for me. :p It might not have been improvised, I've heard multiple stories on that.
This is a good story, Glenn from spectresoundstudios tells it very well.
“The lyrics are about death and destruction” these kids haven’t heard slayer or cannibal corpse yet
WoodChippedFish yeah but what heck is wrong with cannibal corpse they have some mental disorders
Fire Flames only pat. He got arrested and he was going through some stuff unrelated to the band. If you watch any interviews with George or Alex you can see that they are probably the nicest people in death metal

FYI, not to be too nitpicky, but the drummer on the studio recording of "Hallowed Be Thy Name" was Clive Burr. Nicko's first album with the band was "Piece of Mind." I did enjoy the video though!
There's only about 3 rock radio stations where I live in Australia. We usually get the normal; Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, Queen, Beatles etc. Whereas there's like 30 pop radio stations. Most pop songs just blow up for a year and then are forgotten months later. I don't hear anyone playing Gangnam Style anymore while the other day my neighbours were playing The Trooper. Just goes to show how rock/metal is much more perennial than pop.
Fun fact: Did you know The Dark Side of the Moon stayed on the charts for 17 years?
For 17 years wow i didnt know that but it is.a fucking beautiful album
Jax Teller We have the same here in Norway, two rock stations and like 20 pop ones. Luckily my rock station is a bit more broad. They play anything from Pink Floyd to Slayer

Here in the UK as far as I'm concerned there's no rock stations.

Steve Harris doesn't just "make" Iron Maiden. Iron Maiden is literally his band.
Funny thing. I was reading Revelations in my Bible one day and I came across that very verse: "Woe to you, oh Earth and sea, for the Devil sends the Beast with wrath... etc." And then got side tracked and started singing the song instead lol.

I will admit when I heard Trooper for the first time. My friend told to close my eyes while listening to the song and when Bruce says "You'll take my life but I'll take yours too" I felt like a WW2 soldier running on the Omaha Beach. And man that song just hooked me in.
"Aces high" has literally been my favorite Maiden song since I was like 3-4 years old. I've been more into "Wasted years" and "The Evil that men" do lately though
I think Kids or Teens should try to react to the Godfathers of Heavy Metal (Black Sabbath), that would be very interesting to see!

Disagree. If you don't immediately appreciate Bruce's voice, you suck.
Bruce's operatic vocal style is precisely why I love them. I think it is totally bad ass in a way that is different from the badassery of screaming.

I was so happy to see Wasted Years on here...it made me flash back to being a teenager and wanting to learn how to play the intro. It ended up being the song that taught me tremolo picking. Love it!!!
I love how he casually talks to the kids and say there names
Just saw Iron Maiden and ghost play in Chicago a few days ago, they still kick ass even with their age. It's crazy to see how well Bruce can still do the scream for fear of the dark especially compared to how James Hettfeilds voice aged.
Especially considering that Bruce had throat cancer not long ago.
0okamino too bad Ghost has gone downhill
Yeah, it's unfortunate what happened to Ghost. A shame because Meliora was a really good album and it felt like they had solidified their line-up.
I saw Maiden in April (Antwerp) with Shinedown. When I bought the tickets in September last year, I was kind of jealous that the USA got Ghost. Now, thinking about it, I'm quite glad it was with Shinedown. I'm not a huge fan of their studio albums but I was really surprised by their live performance. It was really good.
And Maiden was of course absolutely brilliant. What made it extra special was the fact that it was the first time they played The Great Unknown live.

I've been binge watching your reactions this morning. Never subbed to someone so fast. This summer I brought my little brother to see Maiden. I saw them when I was around his age. They still melt your face live! Ghost opened up for them. It was a really awesome show, completely blew his 15 year old mind. A fun side note, we both are classically trained/in training musicians and total metal heads. I introduced so many band and orchestra members into Maiden, Iced Earth, Blind Guardian, Rhapsody, Strapping Young Lad. I love that you bring up that point all the time
It's like seeing Chris Pratt with long hair :D

Become The Knight Slight discussion on Tyler's comment of loving Metallica but not liking Maiden, I'm willing to throw in the argument that Metallica is more theatrical even in their studio sound, while Iron Maiden, although having an AMAZING live show, sometimes falls in the AC/DC category of almost sounding repetitive (Keyword Almost), which is why these children for most of the video is either "He's screaming", "The guitar is really good" or "The drummer is on point". Just my two cents
Become The Knight when I watched this viedo I'm like Tyler likes Metallica but not iron maidon
+Wences That's actually a really good observation.
Become The Knight Thanks. Kinda a music lover myself. On your free time, watch either my Disconnected Halsey or my Kanye Drunk episode, you'll be slightly entertained :P
Maiden are like the Rolling Stones of heavy metal, aren't they? So many bands have fallen by the wayside but these guys are immortal.
Eh they kinda fell off for me. Of course you can hear they have all the passion and the energy which is much more but the new songs just kind of don’t do it for me.
Still miles better than 90% of the older bands still trucking on after 40 years.
Iron Maiden takes the ear for a ride with key changes, rhythm changes, and soaring melodies and harmonies. They’ve become more prog with the last couple albums. The best band ever.
Mike does better reactions as a music channel than reaction channels do as reaction channels
I appreciate that greatly \m/ I'm also happy you get that this isn't a reaction channel. That means more than anything really haha.
huh ? 🤣
This is so true!!🤘🏼
"Don't be disappointed in him, be disappointed in your own expectations" Brilliant!
Love the video and strongly agree with your commentary and passion for Maiden's music. There was one point that I felt was missing though. I SO agree that Steve Harris is the core of Maiden, but his fantastic bass skills are only half of why he is so crucial to the band. His composing is the other! He doesn't write every song, but I believe (and please correct me if I'm wrong) he writes the vast majority of the music. He definitely sets the tone for their style.
Looking at a list of credits, Harris has written about 35 to 40% of Maiden songs alone and has co-written around 45%.
My math and numbers are hopefully no too far off, since I'm tired and stupid, but at least that gives some direction.
Cheers!

Metallica has the record for largest concert, 91 in Moscow, at somewhere around 1.5 million people, according to Wikipedia.
Yep you're right. 1.6 million in Moscow. That's the largest Live audience. However Maiden's Rock in Rio (during live after death) was broadcast live and had an insanely humongous audience. But those are two very different audiences I'm talking about. Ones actually at the venue, the other's probably lounging about at home.

I saw Maiden with Dream Theater back in 2012 and they made me a fan. Still incredible. Bruce was still jumping over monitors and they still put on one hell of a good show. I instantly got almost their whole discography and have been listening since.
one of the underrated things of iron maiden is: they nail the TONE and atmosphere of the lyrics... wasted years eg: slightly sad... but optimistic as well... or number of the beast or rime of the ancinent mariner... its like music for a movie... you immediatly can see a kickass movie/video-production for many or even most of the songs... its theatrical as it can be

It is easily seen how passionate you are about the music you love. And I love the kids, I watch them all the time :)

Let's face it - Steve Harris pretty much IS Iron Maiden. The reason that he's been the only constant member is that it's basically HIS band. Yeah, like Mike said, everybody makes quality contributions; but Steve is the primary songwriter and the one guy who is involved in nearly all aspects of the band.
Legend has it that horses originally learned to gallop by listening to Steve Harris. They could never quite match his pace, though.
