- The Fine Bros (FBE) showed kids Motley Crue. Some of them liked it. Some of them didn't. I react to it. Like so many of you have asked.

Explaining the 80s in one word: Cocaine
^
nah LSD
As much as the 80s was trying so hard to not be the 70s, they sure did hold onto the coke.
JCGver Cocaine is helluva drug
When it comes to Motley Crue I'm pretty sure they didn't restrict themselves to cocaine. They pretty much had a reputation for if it could be snorted, ingested, injected or otherwise put into your body they were probably doing it. The fact that none of them were dead by the end of the decade is pretty much an unexplainable miracle.
80s and 2010s pop are both meaningless and not talking about much, the difference is:
80s: They knew it was meaningless and embraced all the flashy lights, makeup and full cheese
2010s: They try to make it so serious and comes off stupid and cheesy in the wrong way
Well said
what you drinking?
Become The Knight why you always drink?
Marylin Motionless why you don't
Also 80s music like Motley Crue used real instruments. And not computers
"It just sounds so stupid. They are literally just saying girls, girls, girls." -Morgan
She must really hate rap lol
Lmao! Right?
Kanglar Yeah, she dislikes this because of lyrics like “girls, girls, girls“, but probably listens to “work, work, work, work, work“.
Have you ever listened to rap? Crunk died
Lmao right?
"I think gaga will stand the test of time"
This is why I like this channel. You aren't one of those everything sucks and is awful if it isn't metal people.
I mean Gaga is actually good though she’s at heady one of the few that really is in her genre
Jboy11123 Despite what their music sounds like and whether that's to my taste or not, I will always respect an artist who writes their own material. Gaga does that. She tries to evolve constantly too which also deserves respect. She's not the manufactured pop star she has been labelled as. She can play multiple instruments too. She's extremely talented and if a music fan cant see that then they dont understand music.
Gaga actually has talent. Have you heard her sing jazz? She has a voice of an angel
Ive heard that lady Gaga is actually quite a monumental asshole.
Gaga is shit
Hey, have you heard of this doom metal band called Black Sabbath? They're really good!
Oh really? Do tell. I'm all ears.
Spibby just gave them a listen they might be big one day
Spibby I'm not a fan of new age metal.
You know, I haven't. I listen to this Heavy Metal band called Black Sabbath though. They're pretty underrated compared to that Doom Metal band called Black Sabbath that everyone keeps talking about.
Zach Ritchie, I don't know man Black sabbath seems more popular than Black sabbath
All the little boys rocking 80s hair and they don't know about this band or like the music ... wow. I'm going to cry
Lmao! I didn't even consider that.
Lmao I didn't consider that
Hey, have you heard of this band called Slack Babbath? They're a good moom detal band
wtf did i just read?😂
CLStudiosINC yeah izzy osmond is a great singer!
@@nickk6747 Wooosh
Nick Boy -_-
OG Productions trazy crain is good
the main reason I like your reaction videos is because I learn about music history and pop culture. I can't think of any one else who explains these things in a way I really understand and find interesting. I wouldn't mind if the reaction videos stopped if there was a way I could still get some semi-educational material (lol I'm such a freaking nerd)
And also his opinion is very accurate and good
That's why the only reaction vids I watch are Mikey's
Gustavo Rodríguez I agree
The kids should react to Duran Duran music videos.
Agreed and I'm also a nerd
I am with you, %100. Nerd Squerd.
“They sound like a boy... but look like a girl”
Welcome to 2018.
Shit's gettin out of control
gonçalo Baia ikr, but the thing is people are making way too big of a deal out of covid. Also the People That think this is the end times have not read their History Books there have been times way worse than these times
@@joeyhammer6702 I wasn't refering to Covid😂 but you haven't lied, do much shit went down in hystory that people survived, this has nothing on the black plague or the Spanish Flu
gonçalo Baia Iol sorry for rambling on.
"This sucks" Dying right now!
Led Floyd Let's agree to disagree, I'm a huge fan of hair metal. No shame..
But a lot of people do hate them lmfao.
wtf am I doing with my life watching videos of people watching other people watch videos
My thoughts exactly. LOL
I see u everywhere lol 🤣
Lolz accurate
Motley Crue will always be close to my heart, being it was the first hard rock I was introduced to. My uncle used to have their posters plastered on his walls, and everyone I knew that I looked up to liked them.
fine bros need to do an Alice in chains video I want to see what the kids say about layne
Yeah, I want to see that. Elders and teenagers might be more interesting to watch for that, though.
Have you heard of the popular doom metal band Called the black eyed peas
Will I am can shred
"Will I Am can shred"........cheese.....
Ya Boi FWH I like your profile picture lol
Everytime Motley Crue used to come on the radio my mom would always say she wanted to find the same shade of pink lipstick Vince Neil wore on stage. I always thought that was funny.
Anita is the coolest
The guitar work in many of the bands during the 80s glam metal era definitely saved their relevance. The lyrics and song topics on the other hand were just a hot blast of cheese.
I am definitely using the phrase "hot blast of cheese" in the near future. Thank you.
That’s a poetic name for “cringe”
My reaction to this kids react was "Anita needs to react to Iron Maiden, why the hell wasn't she in that video?
Straight up!!!
midnighteye or why they didn't show the kids some footage from iron maiden concerts !!
Yassine Semlali It's "Kids React" so they wouldn't do that.
I want to see her, along with Sydney reacting to Dream Theater
Straight up
I like seeing you roast the kids, and hearing a factual rational opinion
A N D T H A T S T H E T H I N G ! ! !
*A N D **-T H A T ' S-** T H E T H I N G*
And that's the thing - Mike aka become the knight
Mick Mars was so underrated!
Sydney and Anita, I have hope for them in the future in terms of music choices! I always love seeing their reaction. Love your channel and your opinions! \m/
I agree
I nearly spat my drink out when that girl said 'girls are awesome!' for the exact same reason
Fuck ya!! I've been waiting for this since I saw the reaction video yesterday
Not gonna lie, I came to your channel because I saw you were reacting to finebros videos but I stayed and subscribed for your other stuff. You've widened my viewpoint musically, so I look forward to your future stuff. Love ya, bro.
I think that the reason a lot of people like to see you make videos on the Fine Brothers stuff is that you have some interesting and insightful things to say about them. Watching you discuss Elders and Rammstein, for example, you had a very interesting way of giving context to their statements.
"cause most teenage girls these days are snapchat dog filter girls"
She might just be smartest and most mature kid on the planet. Selfies, snapchat, and teenagers acting naive, immature and outright childish with apps is one of the many things that make me lose all hope for humanity (among several other things).
To be fair. Teenagers have always been like that, it’s just that nowadays there’s more ways for them to act immature and all that.
What i like about crue is that is that its all about having fun and killer riffs ,not about message and meaning
I think Tommy’s flipping and rollercoaster drum sets are amazing. I’ve never seen anyone do that so to me he’s an amazing drummer. ☺️
How is he not a Mötley Crüe fan??
Aidan Curly fries I mean... Motley Crue is mediocre... plus the lead singer is an ass
Ben43065 Mötley Crüe is a great band. Yes, Vince is an asshole, Everyone else is pretty cool. I love the way the music sounds and the creativity of Crüe is what got me into them. (Also, the badass look and sound)
Yonatan Kalis you obviously don't like 80s metal.
This style of music was dead to teens since the 1990s which was 27 years ago.
It's not 100% hair/glam (the same dilemma with GnR), but Extreme is hands down the best band that gets lumped into that cohort. Nuno has so much groove (Cupid's Dead) and some of the best solos (Get the Funk Out) and riffs (It's a Monster).
Speaking of metal, you could do a video about Judas Priest !
Gaga will stand the test cause she's actually an incredible vocalist.
have you seen the 'Motly Crue' reacts to kids react to Motly Crue that's just Tommy Lee. clickbait title I know.
Sydney is such a sweetheart, she likes everything. Wish I could have that attitude :D
Well Dio said that was hair metal who killed rock and roll, with the necessity of being popular and the focus on the look. And he was probably right
They were just inspired by them, I don’t know about copycats.
It's funny how Mike was completely dissing the band at every turn but then with each song that came on, he had something pretty positive to say about each one and remembered how Rockin it really was.
I scrolled down to find out if anyone noticed that. Thank you :D this video basically: motley crue is mass produced pop shit, but riffs and/or solos kicks some serious ass! Also Vince Neil has a very good voice :D
Obviously as a musician he doesn't want to deny their abillity to do some good solos and catchy riffs, but in the same time he has a need to distance himself from them and glam/hair metal as a whole because of their lyrics, messages, visual identity and maybe their lifestyle overall. It is true that glam metal became very mass produced in the second half of the 1980-s with their power ballads, but it seems to me that Motley Crue had enough creativity to do some memorable songs on every album in the eighties which made them huge.
I think that "mass produced" and "catchy" are not necessarily the same things. Some songs are very catchy but they aren't mass produced in the sense that they sound the same like any of the songs that came out in the same time. For example, could anyone find the song that sounds exactly the same like Take me to the top, Live Wire, Looks that kill, Too young to fall in love, Shout at the devil, Home sweet home, Wild side, Kickstart my heart, Dr Feelgood? Even Girls girls girls haha There is something special in those songs when you hear them, that you never forget who is behind them. At least in my case :)
Some bands still have awesome guitar solos. Alter bridge, avenged sevenfold, black veil brides, as I lay dying. Definitely 80’s inspired guitar solos
I learn a lot about music from this channel and I love it. Your Iron Maiden video was the first one I saw and they are my favorite band. You’re killing it 🤙🏼
Mötley Crüe is my favorite band, glad to see you reacting to them👊🏼👊🏼
You gotta like Dr. Feelgood!
Of course, after all, he is the one that makes you feel alright.
lonestarfriend the band dr feelgood
One of the 3 Motley Crue songs I actually like. Really fun riff. :)
Who doesn't like Dr. Feelgood
tominatorxx what's the other 3 I like Dr feelgood , smoking in the boys room, girls girls girls and my favorite is Kickstarter my heart
I know you dont like making this reactions but I really like hearing you talking about music and giving your opinion about all of those bands...plus I learn a lot from your videos so thanks
I wonder if the fine bros will ever do kids react to Spinal Tap
I think Adults react to Spinal Tap would be awesome.
Mick mars deserves more credit imo
I have a weird relation with Motley Crue. I've never liked them nor actively listened to them. However, I know most of their songs from Too Fast For Love to their self titled album.
Zach Ritchie Same
It's not just the production. Tommy Lee is known for hitting super hard with minimal effort.
so hyped for that music snob video !
I love watching these because i like seeing how other people feel about these videos after i see them
I’m a Crue-fan but I really enjoy Mike’s truthful dissection of Motley. Because in the end no matter what! It’s all true 😁
I wouldn't call you snobby, just opinionated..lol
kelsey leshea a lot of people don't like Motley Crue
MrCapone1996 ok lol what's your point then. I forgot what I commented, did I say anything about ppl not like motley crue?
I love em.
That's why people are saying he's snobby. Duh.
He seems more bitter, these “pop stars” made it and I didn’t
Love your stuff bro
I was a teenager in the 80s. Best time ever. You would have loved it Mike. The vibe back then… compared to today… and the live shows! I miss those days so much.
Damn 32k, love this channel and love how you interact with your subs. But I guess that won't last for too much longer.
I'll do it while I still can \m/
Mike, what do you think about Thrash Metal?
Fatal Koncept Metallica is thrash metal based, pretty sure thats an answer already
@@michielgeuze783 Metallica stopped being Thrash after AJFA... and I don't know If I would call Ride The lightning Thrash.
Adan127 there’s like 2 songs on ride that are thrash. Yeah it’s just heavy metal
@@adan1272 Ride The Lightning not Thrash?
WHAT!?!?!?
NightRaven Ikr I don’t know what the fuck this guy is smoking.
that's why I love kids react (and kids irl), they're honest af
i watched the motley crue vidoe before become the night reacted and couldnt wait for this vid to come out
I really like your videos, your good UA-camr and I actually know who they are or a little bit. I introduced by my dad.
I would like to see a video on this style, that you listen to some specific music you like and stop to analyse it. I think it wouldbe cool.
Really love your channel!!
A lot of people just remember these artists and their mainstream tracks through stuff like the radio and VH1, but your show not only criticizes them and their but you also emphasize on the history
An awesome initiative to keep eras of real music alive \m/
"..and they're all sweaty just rockin out in a factory that apparently manufactures sparks, like that's all it makes is sparks"
-Patton Oswalt on hair bands
how about you react to teens react to Marilyn Manson ;)
man, i just dont think its gonna happen...i dont think mike has too kind of an opinion on MM lol
Wouldn't be surprised, since MM himself does not do it for the music. The music is just a medium to accompany his music videos, the thing that Manson actually considers his forte as an artist.
hey im a manson fan since 1995 from the beginning with portrait of an american family....ive followed his career for 21 years and can correctly answer everything there is to know about the man...ive read every interview, watched every interview from the beginning on Phil Donahue ....but the man has lost his touch when it comes to live shows...ive seen him on multiple occasions here in NC and its a 50/50 shot with him in recent years...i went to a 96 show down in Florida and that shit was so fucking raw and and powerful...now he drinks too much and hes falling everywhere half the time...it just makes me want to cry because he is talented....but his voice and health arent the greatest these days...but i will always love him for what he did for me for years when i wanted to leave this place and he kept me here
oh ans antichrist2000 have you seen 2002's saint" by manson...thats some pretty fantastic fucking shit
i agree on some points...i know he made it as a self indulgent project...i bought it when it went up for sale on his website....but ive seen him live....a lot......hes got lung problems too...from what i understand also is he blew his vocals during the recording of eat me drink me back in 09...he has to go take breathing treatments and oxygen between songs...we'd be waiting 10 min sometimes or longer...i love the man but hes only got 4 to 5 yrs tops left to record or tour
Motley Crue was known for their theatrics, they were total adrenaline junkies. They did open the doors for a lot more glam and hair bands. It was admittedly, by several bands, a gimmick to get chicks. This was during the time when they were drug addicts and alcoholics. Yeah Hair bands were poppy and pop culture of the 80's and very early 90's. Those glam bands had more girls than guys at their concerts.
This is the first video I've seen of yours and I had to subscribe 😁 At first you seemed pompous but I actually learned a lot and I love how passionately you talk about music so yay keep up the good work!!
Van Halen was also a huge play in the start of glam and hair metal bands
Andrew Jagers Henry Rollins tells a great story about seeing VH open for Ted Nuget back when they were a nobody SoCal act.
''I'm just not a fan of this music...'' Says the kid who actually has 80's long hair.
Who else died when the kid said "this sucks"? 😂😂😂
Love the shirt man!
The beginning to kickstart my heart hits me so hard
Oh good, no one disliked this video yet... my comment last video got through...
"And so we're they" 🤣
MAN I JUST LOVE UR VOICE AND UR CHANNEL !!!, keep it up man and become the knight!!!!! by the way i would love to see you playing guitar or even singing some metal !! cheers!
I learn a lot from these that's why I love them.
If you like hair metal and sick solos, can you do a reaction to a band called The Darkness?
I would LOVE to get your full opinion on Alice Cooper, which I believe is why people love your thoughts on these videos. The videos showcase, usually, a vast selection of artist's work, and with certain bands you get alot of variety. Alice Cooper is the King of variety for an artist from the 70's, in my personal opinion. I really look forward to an eventual Alice Cooper review.
love these
Hey Mike, awesome video :)
Mike what do you think about Power metal (Dragonforce, Hammerfall, Manowar, and Nightwish its what i listen usually)
Jota Pe No Blind Guardian? Blasphemy!
80s when even Neo classical speed metal was pop
"We need to show Sydney some soilwork"
YES
Mike, I don't mind you doing reaction videos. they're entertaining and I like watching them :)
I think the whole reason I like Motley Crue is because of the fact that there is no meaning behind their music. It's just mindless fun to listen to while drunk and that's good enough for me.
For the wrestling fans that watch this channel, I can't help but think of Chris Hero/Kassius Ohno when I look at Mike
Rhys Davies Yeah man. He does. The old Mike looks like the current Ohno, and the current Mike looks like the old Chris Hero. Their body cycles went opposite.
OMG! I've been saying the same thing! I was a fan of Chris back in his IWA-MS days, and Mike looks identical to Chris from that time!
Exactly what I thought 😂😂😂😂
He could be a wrestling snob
You do reactions like nobody, cause you make people think. Love your reactions and the frankness on them.
Lol love this man. The girl said you could go to a show and have a good time. You said totally...yeah I went to a lot of shows and I do remember almost all of them!!
I don't know why I thought of this, but what do you think about Alice Cooper
“They’re just saying Girls Girls Girls the whole time.”
I know she’s just a kid, but that’s what’s called a hook!!! You supposed to sing along.
Ahhh Mike! I'd love to sit with you and talk about music all day!
Remember Everything In the eighties was big, including HAIR!
11:40 is exactly why I wanted you to react to this video and your reaction was priceless!
Omg tell me he doesn't look like Chris Prat
Mick mars is a FUCKING GOD!!!
Funny thing is 2 years later they're really popular again with mostly teens
thanks dude motley crue big part of my childhood love all metal thanks lol thanks dude rock on the metal years rule
0:00 that kid goes to my school XD
William Graham cool
Its funny how Jackson looks like 90's Dave Grohl but does not like rock
i love ur videos i relate so much to them. im only 14 and am trying to get rock back out there and you just seem to be doin that too
I was waitin for this i love crue and wanted to hear your opinion on em mike✌🏻️
If you like pinched harmonic, you must have heard of Zakk Wylde
black sabbath is legit metal.
yvonestrom
Kinda, but not at the same time
Tommy Lee may not be the most technical drummer, but he's a great rock drummer. He plays pretty simple stuff, but it sounds perfect for the music and he plays with attitude. I think his playing has everything good rock drumming needs. More complicated drumming would not fit the music, and I think part of what makes Mötley Crue's music so "danceable" and "kick ass" is the drumming.
I'm so fucking glad I found this channel
