- The weather has been rubbish for 10 out of 14 days.
Justin has been ill for the same period with the local lurgy
Barbara is left to pick up the rubbish left over from the water works
We find our first snake
One of our apple trees might not make it
Plus this video was a ball ache to make due to internet and software issue, sorry it's late !! J
Guinness is looking old all of a sudden ❤️❤️🐶🐶 great work, no hands driving love it 😂😂
He's OK Dawn, bit slower for sure but quite happy. First few days of proper heat now but we have got him air con x x x
I've seen a farmer in Ecuator that graft a new healty branches (at least 4 )on a damaged old avocado tree and it grows fairly well and fast. Chanel "fall off the map" episode: the secret to perfect avocados- hacienda el Molino avocado tour.Good luck if you try.
Thanks, something to consider for sure. Not 100% sure how far down the damage goes though.

Thanks, Guinness is fine thanks. We've had a few hots days but we've got an air con unit for the caravan so he will be comfortable. Most of the time he just finds a bit of shade and chills out. Foot has healed fine

Looks like termite damage to the Apple tree.
Possibly, it hadn't blossomed this year apart from a few small branches. Whatever we have to take out we will replace with something. Thanks for feedback

Yeah, if digger man can't get back in there then yes we'll have to do it by hand.....a job I don't look forward to ! Thanks

Shouldn’t be to bad, doesn’t look like there’s many rocks in it. Will do a better job by hand and cost you less in backfill.
Diggers save you some effort digging it out but cost you a lot more effort at the end clearing up the mess they make.
Напрасно вы срубили старую яблоню. Можно было бы накрыть дупло сверху для просушки и летом, убрать мусор пылесосом, и налить в полость бетон . Обрезать сухие ветви и , возможно , получить кокой-нибудь уникальный старый сорт и , возможно , очень вкусные плоды.
Отличный план по дренажным работам вокруг дома . Кирпичная "кухня-ванная" потребует много работы по постепенному удалению рассыпающихся кирпичей и замене их бетоном.
А вот колодец для питьевой воды вам сделали очень плохо - деревенские водопроводчики одинаковы во всех странах .(" ну, зачем класть цементный раствор между кольцами , здесь есть паз-гребень , я сто раз так делал и все были довольны и никто не жаловался...") А летом дебет водной щахты уменьшится , вода будет уходить через стыки колец , или грязь будет проникать через них в колодец и изнашивать насос и оседать в трубах. Подводящая труба слишком мала , на мой взгляд , а отводные трубы я бы поставил от каждого соединения колец ( с соответствующей герметизацией ) для более точного управления уровнем воды. И кран на каждой. И залить бетоном дно. Тогда вода поднялась бы еще выше ( в уровень еще не установленых колец) . И конечно , стенки траншеи надо выложить бетонными блоками и это будет ватертанк в земле .
We are working through things bit by bit. The well fills from underneath and also the pipe. The water seems to hold in it fine but we will keep an eye on it. Dual filters on the pump to keep it clean. Will see how damaged the apple tree is before any final decisions. Thanks for feedback
