Ally, you have completely transformed my life. I’ve been meditating with you every single day for a year and a half, and my once-life consuming depression has completely vanished. Like the original poster, had I not encountered yoga nidra and had other experiences prior to it that were just as pivotal in their own ways, my life would have been either stagnant and/or miserable, depending on the point in time in question. Yes, I developed my own practice and continued it independently of others, but had these resources not been available online for free and had not been recommended by UA-cam, I wouldn't be doing what I am doing now. 🤔 Currently, I think that the transformation in my life has occurred because I was praying for relief, was presented the instruments to sow seeds of relief, and was able to harvest a bountiful crop through my practice. There was definitely a degree of collaboration with the Divine.
Every day my body is tormented by raging post surgical neuropathic pain. Today is a little different. Today is a little better. Rising after my first yoga nidra experience, a single tear rolled down my cheek. A tear of relief. This will be a daily practise for me from here on in. Thank you so much Ally.
Thankyou Ally so much for all your videos. I started doing your yoga nidra meditations as I was suffering from so much trauma. My body wasn't functioning properly. My nervous system was so hypersensitive I would spend weeks house bound. I used your meditations when I was a my worst I could barely stand up. Ally, This is is my second time doing one of your exercises and it was just as if not more healing and transformative than the first (yesterday). I teach high school, and it's a monday, and it's finals week, and my student population deals with intense trauma and that comes out in their words and actions every day. These practices are truly life changing. I add Yoga Nidra to my weekly weekly meditations. The key is consistency. I was doing amazing and for some reason gave up all my practices that I had been doing daily for ten years. Within 5 years I developed severe social anxiety and my depression returned. I started back all of my practices a few months ago and my anxiety issue has dropped 50%. I will never stop my practices ever again. Your Yoga nidras and Tannis Fishman are my two favorite. Thanks Ally for the great videos. I have been using them daily as power nap (in case I fall asleep) or to restore energy for the other half of always demanding academic day. Despite I do other practices that helps keeping the balance (like chanting, Qi Gong, sports), I find yoga Nidra the most effective to be less reactive person and more focused. Keep spreading this lovely and peaceful practice

Been doing 15 min yoga nidra for a few weeks daily, here is what I’ve experienced: 1) Reflexes are way better. Sometimes time feels slowed down. 2) More energy in the mornings Thanks, these videos are valuable!!
It is finally time after 16 months, i start doing yoga nidra again, since I was pregnant... After this session, I tapped in & felt how my body has been feeling like it's run a marathon after a marathon & after another marathon & so on without a rest in between. I will now attempt to dedicate at least half hour each day (give or take) to yoga nidra & to my mantra of 'i support my body's time for relaxation'.

This was nice. Interestingly as a child when I found it impossible to sleep I would instinctively do the body tension/release technique. I had no idea what I was doing but now I find it again as a relaxation technique here! It does work. Thanks for this session and I'll catch you in class!

I have partial aphantasia, and a wandering mind. Fascinatingly, when doing this session, I was returning myself to your voice from internal monologue, but at about halfway my monologue silenced, and I started having faint visual wanderings instead, almost "curing" the aphantasia; which felt -complex- to lose when I would return focus to the session. Not sure what the takeaway is yet, but thank you either way.

It is finally time after 16 months, i start doing yoga nidra again, since I was pregnant...
After this session, I tapped in & felt how my body has been feeling like it's run a marathon after a marathon & after another marathon & so on without a rest in between. I will now attempt to dedicate at least half hour each day (give or take) to yoga nidra & to my mantra of 'i support my body's time for relaxation'.

I appreciate the effort you made to create this sessions; is very helpful for me since I have problems to sleep. I used melatonin but this helps me to find some rest in a natural way without any medication. I listen to this at least once or twice a week and it works every time. Thanks!

This was nice. Interestingly as a child when I found it impossible to sleep I would instinctively do the body tension/release technique. I had no idea what I was doing but now I find it again as a relaxation technique here! It does work. Thanks for this session and I'll catch you in class!

I have partial aphantasia, and a wandering mind. Fascinatingly, when doing this session, I was returning myself to your voice from internal monologue, but at about halfway my monologue silenced, and I started having faint visual wanderings instead, almost "curing" the aphantasia; which felt -complex- to lose when I would return focus to the session. Not sure what the takeaway is yet, but thank you either way.
