Jack has his RWI fleet supported by Venom RCSP and Craz CNL fleets. I prefer a class of ship that I call the 'fleetship' over a battlecarrier. Instead of a carrier with guns, it's a battleship with more varied weapons and a carrier purpose, sort of an all-purpose flagship. Anything dedicated to a single purpose would be better at that but likely worse at the others. Also, I think there's little difference between a cruiser and an artillery destroyer other than range and size, which isn't always consistent. In space, cannons and rockets shouldn't have much of a range limit. Cruisers tend to be high-damage craft, they can't take damage as well as bigger ships or move as fast as smaller ones, but they can deal back anything that doesn't immediately destroy them,
@@ultmateragnarok8376 There are reasons why there are no main guns on carriers. Fighters are extremely fragile and any damage taken by carrier would wreck them. For same reasons there is no point of equipping battleship in additional explosives in form of the fighters. It sort of can pass in case of Cruiser-Carrier because Cruisers also should generally avoid taking damage. But idea of Battle-Carrier is idiotic (and term "fleetship" make no sense as there is few types of ships designed purely for fleet operations, like for example Destroyers. And Fleet Carrier is completely separate category). You also don't understand what word flagship mean, so don't use it. Something with larger guns and carrier capabilities doesn't need to have them near each other. On any realistic ship they wouldn't be, for the reasons you described, among others. The carrier capabilities aren't the focus of the craft, but simply another capability of it. A true carrier would outperform a multipurpose ship, but in some ways it is better and in some ways worse, depending on the ship, how it's used and how it's designed. Fleetship is a placeholder name that stuck, it's not made to _replace_ the fleet, merely support most aspects of it. With that, they would tend to act as flagships, but it's not required of them (and I do know what a flagship is, by the way). Yes, the rest of the fleet supports each other in their own dedicated roles, and you can never truly have everything in one, but it provides assistance to them all. You wouldn't want a ship like that trying to take too much damage, anyways, making it quite capable for carrier capabilities. Battlecarriers don't work because the two have nearly opposite roles which interfere with each other, so one needs to be focused on. I was mistaken on the cruiser/battlecruiser part, which was the cause of both that misunderstanding and the function parallel one.
First thing I personally believe Battle Carriers are the opposite of nonsense & secondly my signature Space Engineers ship will be designed to do anything & everything plus if I can get away with it add as many mods to it that if it were human it would be a mega-sized hunk of muscle & brain with STEROIDS for blood.

based on my knowledge of ship classification: goblin: frigate hammerhead: either cruiser or battlecruiser mako: destroyer carrier: battleship-carrier hybrid (mainly because of the unrealistic amount of missile turrets it has that wouldn't allow for it to be classified as a normal carrier)
Ok so for classification, based on historical doctrines, frigate is a small yet manoeuvrable, fast, multipurpose medium tonage ship with long range capacity (bigger than corvette wich role is to patrol and recon near fleet and bases, slightly more armed, better range, capacity to be autonomous in most situations exccept big battles), whereas destroyer is to protect the core fleet from small ships with torpedo capacity (torpedo-boat destroyer originaly in the Royal Navy, Contre-torpilleur/counter torpedo-boat in french fleet) wich means the destroyer doesn't need multi-purpose neither long range capacity yet can have it to escort long range fleet-group, and mostly carries small artillery and small DCA being agile enought to make its small artillery hit small torpedo ships. Then, cruisers are ships able to cruise with long range and mostly multipurpose capacity yet in between the heavy tonnage and the frigate: long range, multi purpose, small protection and good anti-fighter capacity, medium class weaponery. Then, ships of the line are the heavyly armed ships, wich heirs were battleships with heavy armor and heavy guns yet lesser manoeuvrability. Then, the battlecruiser is a ship with battleship class weaponery yet lesser armor for same propulsive power so that the inertia is lesser and both speed and manoeuvrability increase: it is to hit the battleship and run before the battleship can react, with a chance to damage the battleship. It is not meant to survive heavy fire howether, whereas the battleship is to be resilient to heavy fire a certain amount of time before cease function. Would the multipurpose gunship have torpedo capacity, it would be basically the kind of ship the destroyer is conceived to counter. there need to be a dive bomber/bomber or a ship that has one big rocket inside it's hangar. if it opens it is almost the size of the ship, minus the tail and cockpit. and maybe some interceptors?
I think the problem with a lot of ships is that and even though it’s almost critical to the look the bridge. If your a bomber or a fighter trying to take on one of these the first thing your going to target is the bridge so I think it’s really smart most of these ships have back up cockpits
A lot of the problems I'm seeing is that the cargo / hangar bays are located on the underside. If they get knocked out, then it removes the crew's ability to get off the ship when needed, and limits the fighters abilities to remain in good form. Perhaps with the hammer head the hangar could be towards the end, where you'd expand the engines at the front.
the Goblin I would likely classify as a corvette. Corvettes are usually scouts or screening craft for larger ships like destroyers Hammerhead would easily be a destroyer. Destroyers usually are the more armored between themselves and corvettes and obviously outfitted with weapons to blow up larger ships, hence the name. Mako MK II would definitely be a cruiser. Cruisers usually are meant to be fast patrol ships, hence "cruise" but in combat roles fit well as heavier weapons platforms than destroyers. the last one (not sure if the name was mentioned, but it is definitely a well armed light carrier. A full "fleet carrier" would be much larger and would be able to deploy ships like the condor However, light carriers are still an incredibly good fleet asset to have. None of these really classify as a battleship as a battleship is very much a massive weapons platform.
The carrier design is interesting, personally instead of having such a long tunnel I'd go for a top half tunnel and have the fighters stick off on the sides while having the top covered. I'd still keep the back portion of the hangar acting as the fully covered bastion so at least 1/3 of the total fighters can still dock after the battle and do rotations for resupply if more fighters actually survive.
I am definitely gonna rip that idea of having starship components saved as blueprints so you can just stick them together according to what you need. I've always struggled with starship aesthetic design but having pre-fab compartments seems Right up my alley

that first big ship(frigate) looks like if scott tried to make a rwi defender and that 3rd ship looks like a imperial light cruiser and the carrier looks like the rwi valliant
The carrier is a cool concept (and reminds me a lot of the MC85 from Last Jedi) but seems pretty impractical. The ship has to come to a stop for a very long time to give fighters time to navigate those tubes during every launch/recovery.

Ship classifications are: 1-destroyer 2-frigate 3-dreadnaught 4-carrier(you already knew that one) The reason i didn't classify any as "battleship" is because battleships are characterized by their large cannons with smaller defensive weapons and heavy armor, yes the dreadnaught had armor, but it only had smaller weapons.
Be upsetting to see you on a server you finally build yourself a fighting battleship and then you just see this massive Fleet it's wouldn't be a good day
It is up to debate. Jack's ships were designed for cinematic, so core ships would die quite easily. But his Battle-Cruisers would grind those ships, as they were actually designed for combat and Jack is way more experienced in that. Additional issue is of modded weapons and general balance issue. Even amazing DRF ships would die if confronted with way larger ships.

Be upsetting to see you on a server you finally build yourself a fighting battleship and then you just see this massive Fleet it's wouldn't be a good day
i really want to show my UNIT fleet now (United Nations of Interplanetairy Trading)
Make a video, i'd watch
I would watch this as well. (My fleet isn't going well and I need inspiration)
except UNIT should stand for "United Nations Intelligence Taskforce" .... bit of a Dr Who fan here... specially the John Pertwee and Tom Baker eras
can we get the carrier and battle ship added on the workshop?
RWI VS INIC would be fantastic
RWI win.
Idk why blue and white goes so good on sci-fi ships, I always make star ships I build with LEGO's blue and white.
They're cool looking ships any chance some of them might wonder to the workshop?
I would like them
Is it just me or does the troop transport look like a super sized henry from a few years ago
I would like to see the bridge from the old Joint Survival episode incorporated into a new design.
You mean INIC?
@@TheRezro Yes, the INIC ship with the faulty chair.
Rwi is gonna have a hefty challenge ahead with inic
I thought RWI was allied with INIC.
IDK allies for who. I though INIC DRF and RWI were not allied to anyone. Though my custom faction (SSA) is going to be allied/supporter to RWI.
Inic were a faction allied with no one
@@sonofjack6286 No, they were not. RWI is allied with RCSP (Venom) and CNL (Craz), who are they subcontractors (and it is speculated that Shadow was they evil splinter group). INIC was lead evil corporation from Joint Survival Space, who attempt to hack benevolent purple drones allied with JST (Joint Survival Team) what as result lead to creation of DRF (lead by Arron) and GDA (lore wise lead by Sage). Who clash with alternative reality RWI. Though DRF actual enemy is INIC and GDA is hostile toward everyone including DRF. Also DRF objectively collapsed, with its main engineers joining Jack, who rejoing RWI who was hostile for a time. If I'm not mistaken that also include Arron (or his clone) as Commander Reed.
Is this a foreshadowing for a future series
Will these be on the workshop any time soon?
Ok, but now we just have to have the DRF fleet video
You should make a smaller ship called the 'Remora' and have it stick to the underside of the shark carrier.
i actually just got a small large grid ship done that i haven't found a name for yet. i think Remora would probably fit it pretty good
Guided torpedo and boom carrier is done
Frigat, cruiser, battleship, super carrier
Not super carrier just carrier
Can we get the ships in the steam workshop for our own server and offline worlds?
Imagine seeing these ships after the Warfare 2 update?
I saw a shitload of conveyors on the carrier, how come such as ship is allowed in multiplayer? Am I missing something?
So do you make your own stuff or just show off other people’s creations?
You need to start posting links to workshop when u do fleet overviews. U dont seem to do it on fleets. DRF I was wanting to try but u dont have links and I couldnt find on workshop by searching for drf
When will orbit 74/sequel? be returning?
When does your next Space Engineers series come out???
Are these on workshop on Xbox, if not can that be?
I would love it if you had the LINKS TO THE MOD SO I COULD GIVE HIM SUPPORT! that would be nice.
Can I find these on the workshop?
