One of my favorite things in Spengineers is when people design intentionally ugly ships for the sake of making it look functional. This thing is glorious.

Jesus Christ, Aaron :P Remember the laws of relativity! When you thrust forward, just turn your inertial dampeners off. It was "flying away from you" because the moment you stopped pressing W, your ship's thrusters tried to *stop* you. XD
Suggestion for LSG, Space engineers Total War. Have 2 teams of pilots and have them fly missions based on point's cost for their machines. Change the map to represent where on the grand strategy map they are and have them fight to contest the territory. Each captured territory gives you more points to spend on units and resources.
Just wondering, would it be possible to configure some of the gravity generators into a type of grabbing beam / tractor beam to pull stuff into the grinders at the front ( _Doomsday Machine_ style )🤔😏
very cool ship, I have to agree with that a button to close the mouth doors would be a good idea. Also those exposed tanks and cargo are begging to be shot out
Could you spend a bit more time understanding and testing the functions of a ship design before filming? I feel like several builds have had interesting features that could not be showcased because the instructions were overlooked.
I've noticed this with various SE UA-camrs. They just download stuff off the workshop, then load it up and look at it for a couple minutes before making a video. I want to hear from people that have actually used the ship design for at least twenty minutes first and read the Readme on it...
Dude the human mind when it comes to creating is insane image playing on a server and they damage your ship to the point your immobile and they open the doors and u just see that instant panic.
It would be interesting to use a gravity generator and adjust the field shape and strength to act as a tractor beam of sorts to pull salvage into the grinder cone. Just tag the salvage you want with an Artificial Mass Block and presto. We all love the window, but I think replacing it with grinders and have the gravity gen behind that side would make it much more efficient.
Instead of dampeners, I think your supposed to swallow the salvage BEFORE running down to the salvage control room. Seal the doors up behind the salvage, the kick on the grinders
This reminds me of how I build which is what I like to call the agglomeration style (splitsie came up with the name and uses it I'm survival unlikely). I steal a ship take its bits like thrusters and tubes and cargo and stick them together and them steal more ships and repeat and then I weld the hulls together around the internals and give it some bracing. I dont repaint anything and anything I build is a colour like gray. I like it because it's so much effort but is so satisfying to build together and by the end it looks very thrown together (litterally) sadly my computer detonated so I lost all my ships :( that was devastating since none were on the steam workshop and I'm unsure if steam saves it in the cloud.
I modified this ship so that the grinder pit was turned into a large hanger; as well as a whole slew of other upgrades like missile turrets, group organization, etc.
Can you start showcasing ships from the Keen survival servers. There are a lot of players who look at these ships only to discover they are way out of their PCU range to build, even as a group faction operation. You seem to showcase 50000 PCU and up ships.
Does anybody know a way or mod to add a large rotor head to a small rotor without doing it the manual way? ( i've been stuck for a long time with matching the same position)
It would be smart to have a connecter take all of the resources, fuel (uranium, hydrogen, etc), oxygen, ammo, etc out of the to-be-scrapped ships cargo containers, etc and if possible transfer the power in said ships batteries to the scrap ships energy storage batteries or something. Make total use of the ship
Please god keep the keys for this thing locked away from Mr Castle and extra precaution of removing all the fuel if he is within jump range of the vessel
It's a shame that all of these cool ships and mechanics are essentially pointless except to look at. SE is just too buggy to use any cool engineering as an advantage in survival.

Complete nonsense. Large ships do not chop. And this will only remove the edges from small as well as medium ones. Better than a ship absorber. The parser was not invented.

It is completely possible. But most ships don't have artificial mass blocks in them. Without the blocks, they don't react to grav generators.
This would make a great ship for a series.

The grinders should have an option to extend or retract, that would make them a lot more effective at doing what they're supposed to do.
