Sum41, Blink182, Offspring and so on...ahh those were the days...can you smell school again, good times.
Still listen :D
Greenday too
What about green day and simple plan?
And almost forgot blink 182
Green day aswell, best days ever, av got tickets for Green day, weezer and fallout boy next month june, am praying its still gonna be on
For me, most likely a little older than you, it was Offspring, Rancid, NoFX, Green Day and Bad Religion. Also a shit ton of ska punk bands. I can smell the hallways of my high school and whatever mystery was rotting in the bottom of my locker to this day.
Pleeeeeaaaassseee react to "Still Waiting" and "In Too Deep" by Sum 41!!!
The hell song and over my head too
yeah, Still Waiting is fire
THE SUMS!!!😍
Don't forget about "No Reason"
Defo in too deep
This is literally the most 2000s thing I have ever seen
You need to watch the music video for Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus. THAT's the most 2000s thing you'll ever see.
@@LuxBellator92 I'm upping that with The Anthem by Good Charlotte.
I miss the early 2000s
@@rampager1990 yeah everyday
Little fun fact about this music video: when they were thinking about what to shoot for the video - they didn’t come up with any idea. So they just invited a bunch of kids and adults from the area they were residing in and told everyone to just have fun. Basically what you see on this video is one big party. They were completely wasted by the end of first day (the shoot took 2 days) and they were super sore from partying the next day so they actually had some people rubbing them with IcyHot or something like that. Makes the whole experiences watching the video a little bit more awesome
Back when bands used to be cool 😎
Did not know that. That’s sweet
Was actually looking for this comment because if I didn’t find it I was gonna drop this little gem in there. Super cool fact about a super chill band
Yep that's correct. Another fun fact, the "Still Waiting" video has the same story almost. They were wasted in that video too! Lol
Sum 41 is one of the few pop punk bands that still makes great music! If any, they have only gotten more heavy and "metal"!
Sadly, they pretty much fell in line with the 'rebel only against what is profitable'. Still waiting on the diss song of the current president with all the trash they could fling his way, idiot can't even read from a teleprompter properly and shakes hands with imaginary people. But Orange Man got a entire song from them. It is disappointing.
YESSSSS!!! Keep the nostalgia train rolling.
Thirty Seconds to Mars - The Kill
Blink 182 - I Miss You
Paramore - Misery Business
Crossfade - Cold
AFI - Miss Murder
Panic! At the Disco - I Write Sins Not Tragedies
My Chemical Romance - Helena
Alien Ant Farm - These Days
That right there is a HELL of a list haha
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Face Down
Matthew Ellis hells yes. That’s a bangin ass list. Brings me back to high school. I miss you is still one my favorite songs.
I'd recommend colors by Crossfade as a better recommendation
He's done misery buisness.
Sum 41 - the most metal band you'll find in punk genre
I recommend Lit's 'My Own Worst Enemy'.
oh man. all these good suggestions, blasts from the past.
Great song
OH HECK YEAH
YAAAS always a great song!
Who hasn’t heard that song though?
Billy Talent-Fallen Leaves
Yesssss
YESS!!!😍
@@AKmumu what other Canadian bands? If Billy talent isn't Canadian, I know Canada loves Billy
Alex has already been introduced to Rush
I don't know, Celine Dion singing You shook Me All night Long by AC/DC?
No one deserves Bryan Adams nor Nickelback, those are just too boring
Help me out Canada
Avril?
@@eddiedingle767 Billy Talent is from Mississauga, Ontario
yea, dude
YES, finally SUM 41
While we're back in high school you should do Alien Ant Farms cover of Smooth Criminal
And These Days, he'd get a huge kick out of the fact that music video is the band crashing the BET Awards.
Honestly, I prefer Homage by AAF. Such a solid song and one I resonate with because that's what I grew up listening to as well.
You mean, the American Pie era?
@@petrinafilip96 yeah I was early teens when American Pie came out. What a great era
Yeeeeeeesssssss
More songs by Sum 41 please, epic band. React to "Pieces", "Thanks For Nothing" or "Still Waiting"
Yes!!
What about in to deep
Check out "nothing on my back" and "the hell song" or "we're all to blame"
Pain for pleasure?
there's no solution is a good song too
He has to check out Bitter End too lets be honest here.
@@Zeldafan_01992 no reason with the intro or 88 to! well all the album
'We're All To Blame' is so fucking relevant...shame the people who could clean shit up, won't listen.
Sum 41 in too deep that's a great one XD
fax
@@morkami9521 when he rises from the pool with his guitar I thought that was the baddest thing as a young lad XD
Yep
Fat Lip is that one song that no matter how old it is, every time it comes on...you just have to blast it and jam along. Such a great song.
Nani?!? Sum 41?!? The band that got me the punk and metal genre! Damnnnnn... the nostalgia is real :')
bro, if you're check out early 2000's music, you gotta check out Smile Empty Soul - "Bottom of a Bottle," "Nowhere Kids," or "Silhouettes."
"Talking all that kufuffin" is both the best and most ridiculous reach for a rhyme you'll find.
“Still Waiting” by Sum 41 is a must my man!
Who’s Sum 41? Do you mean The Sums?
Conrad Monson do you smoke? Well you do now!
@@ignaciolopez3599 whats your name, its Sven now!
Lifestyle of the Rich and the famous - Good charlotte
Yoooooo Alex. Check out the recent video of Sum 41 performing “Faint” by Linkin Park with Mike Shinoda featuring the lead singer of Sum 41 singing Chester’s part. He did a pretty awesome job!! It’s really worth the watch.
It's such an underrated performance. He absolutely killed it.
Yeah I like this suggestion. Alex, take attention on this comment 😁
I love LP and Sum 41, but I wasn't convinced by their performance. I didn't feel it was coming from his guts like it was for Chester, so it was missing something for me.
I felt a bit upset knowing chester wasn't singing.. I love sum.. But didn't have the same feeling to it.
However, knowing they did the song makes me happy to see chester is still remembered... :-)
He is probably the only vocalist on that show that really did a great job. The others were ok but Derrick blew them all out of the water
React to "The Anthem" - Good Charlotte
Yes!
Please!!!
Good God, I was in college when this song came out. I remember it was a huge hit on local radio. Nice vibe to it.
Did i hear "flying whales" in the Intro? 🤔😂
Gojira wants to know your location.
Lol, i thought it was some oldschool jazz
flying turbo whales
@@adamplis9535 Fuck dude... I almost choked on my tea 🤣
Yes
Middle school memories, lol, oh, enjoyed the music, and lack of responsibility, but the rest... oh I'm glad that's over
Preschool memories lol I was 4 or 5
Hey Alex, that's my birthday today and Sum 41 is one of my favorite bands. Thank you for this reaction! Hope more of them is coming :)
Omg my 20’s! Freaking loved Sum 4. Damn those years were a blur
Damn you old jk😁
How old are you now
The GIRL IN BLUE 3:51 has always been the best part of this video... I wonder what she’s up to these days. Still dancing like a sexy maniac I hope.
Flying whales by gojira, that’s the intro right?
Right
Left
GOJIRA!!!!
Right left wroooong
wonsz rzeczny three days grace ?
now you have to do "in too deep",too. you cant have one without the other
The lead singer has been doing acoustic cuts the last few weeks, he just dropped Fat Lip and it is amazing
If you wanna hear some of their heavier stuff check out: "Mr. Amsterdam", "88" or "were all to blame"
One of the bands that got me into guitar 🔥
That Flying Whales intro tho 🤘🏻
Random fact..... their band name is because they came together and started writing music on the 41st day of summer.... so Sum41
The story behind the music video is hilarious, they actually partied for like four days straight and the girl getting her head shaved, that actually happened she let them shave her head!
Every 00's teenagers who grow up watching American pie knows this song
I wasn't a teenager I was preschool but I remember the culture of my childhood now that I'm in my early and mid 20s
Always had this stuff on the radio back in the day. Skating and listening to punk.
Yep, this song was my childhood. And yep, this song still slaps as hard as it did back then!
I'm 63. My main genre is punk. It started with the Ramones in the 70s. I call the new punk bands neo-punk. I still love it. Sum 41 is my favorite of the neo-punk bands. Someone mentioned the songs "Still Waiting" and "In Too Deep". They are correct. Awesome songs.
Lmao I still rock out when I hear this song. The memories man.
I swear it's the golden era 90s and early-mid 2000s
Yooooo, sum 41 is awesome
Sum 41 - In too Deep and Underclass Hero. They’re the band that got me into music when i was a little kid!
Sum-41 Pieces was my anthem and life throughout my early adolescence.
My absolute favorite band! React to something new from them such as Death in the Family!
They also covered Linkin Park’s Faint live with Mike Shinoda
That's pretty accurate. I was a child back then when this came out. And I like how much it went over the stuff back then. Punk was what I listened to in my elementary. I liked the stuff.
My bud draged me to the guys in Graspop 2017. I don't regret it. And if you want some childhood back. Diggy Diggy Hole from Wind Rose.
If you're wondering, the beginning rap is from their song 'What We're All About' which was featured in the soundtrack/special for Spiderman 2002 film
Yep this is my childhood, punk music, skateboarding and just having a good time with friends, god i miss those days.
From Sum 41 I recommend U literally anything... All their albums are relevant
Also consider Billy Talent and more from Rise Against
AND NIGHTWISH RELEASED THE ALBUM MORE THAN ONE MONTH AGO AND THERE IS NO REACTION?!
(sry caps lock)

That pod song is so cooool.
Alex! If you want to check it out, Sum 41 do a freaking epic Master of Puppets cover!
You wont be disappointed! 😄👌
As a biiig Metallica fan. I absolutely agree..
My oldest and I saw Sum41 just a couple of years ago. Brought back a ton of memories for me and they still sound great.
You know Sum41 has drastically changed their sound over the years, you should check them out, not only the super popular songs. Something like 'We're all to blame' or 'Screaming Bloody Murder'
ooh ooh react to 'Pieces' and 'With Me' by Sum41!
Should check out Sum 41 - 45 (A Matter of Time), off their "new" album(2019)
This was my go to party anthem as a teen man. Ahhh good memories!! Smoking darts and breaking hearts since 91 🍻
Ah Sum 41. That is awesome pop punk classic from the early 2000s. Such a cool band in my opinion even though I haven’t heard much of their music.
React to “The Rock Show” blink-182
Yes! This one!
He'd love that music video, I reckon!
LINKIN PARK Minutes to Midnight album reactions next!
That would be awesome i was listening to it today for the millionth time super awesome album
Nice RIP
Sum 41, Blink 182, Green Day, Paramore, Good Charlotte are all massive bands from my childhood you would recognize songs by
This was a great song to start with by the way
Yooooo I'm glad you checked out Sum 41! This song was their first hit single when they debuted in the late 90's. You should also check out their song Out For Blood which came out last year and shows how much they've developed as a band. Either that or God Save us All which just plain kicks ass.
Hi Alex.
Please react to Avantasia: the Scarecrow or the raven child.
Hoping you will react to this great band one day.
Greetings from Germany
That disguised Flying whales intro though
I listened to Sum41 everyday in middleschool
" Heavy Metal and mullets it's how we were raised.
Maiden and Priest were the gods that we praised "
As I Lay Dying: Nothing Left. Then a follow up reaction of As I Lay Dying: The Sound of Truth. The videos go together and are amazing!
React to good charlotte-the anthem
Sum 41 changed their style of lyrics. So now you have to listen their new sound. A Death In The Family, War, Blood In My Eyes - something of it or something else
Faakyeaaaahhh!!!! My 90's self is yelling from the top of my lungs to this lyrics!!!
Yeah, you mean early 2000s but I understand because 90s culture didn't die until 2003 and 2004
Pls React to
Deftones - My own summer
Limp Bizkit - Break stuff
Deftones suck lol
ow man thats pretty much my road to metal there.
Or my way by limp and change by deftones
Crystal Lake - Apollo
SiM - Existence
Coldrain - MAYDAY
Can't wait to see you react to their metal songs. You'll love Pain For Pleasure, We're All to Blame, Mr. Amsterdam, The Bitter End, Goddamn I'm Dead Again, Out for Blood. They play every type of rock music out there. 8 albums, first 2 pop punk, 3rd album Hard Rock, 4th Metal, 5th Pop Rock, 6th Melodic Metal/Alternative Rock/Punk, 7th and 8th Hard/Alternative Rock & Metal
Really? I need to check out their other stuff.
@@leemires5315 Yes, they have been labeled as a pop punk band because of their first 2 albums but from their 3rd album on, each one sounds different. Not one the same. Therefore they are an alternative rock/metal band
You had to have heard this song before. It was in a lot of movies in the 90s. One of my favorites ever.
React to Breaking the Chain by Sum 41 please its a really good song and its new :)
Check out SCORPIONS - 'Rock You Like a a Hurricane' 🦂🦂🦂🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Fresh off the Linkin Park train you really need to react to Sum 41+Mike Shenoda singing Faint.
YES! Was hoping you'd get to Sum 41 at some point. Most of their newer music is actually heavier and almost on the metal side. Like the line in this song "Maiden and Priest were the gods that we praised" They were highly influenced by metal bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, as well as Metallica. They're a very diverse group. Most of their famous songs were pop punk/punk rock, but they have slow/ballad type songs too and plenty of heavy songs. Even a bit of rap like you saw in Fat Lip.
Check out these other Sum 41 songs
In Too Deep
Still Waiting
Out For Blood
War
No Reason
Pieces
Never There
45(A Matter of Time)
A Death In The Family
Halestorm uncomfortable
That song is uncomfortable. The chorus in particular.
I didn't see anyone mention this but if you want to feel super 2000's, the lead singer of Sum 41, Derek Whibley, was married to Avril Lavigne from 2006 till 2010.
Brooo having him listen to like every linkin park song made me sub and put notifications on... he better do the same thing with Sum 41 they are like my favorite band ever, my band does a bunch of their songs lol if he listens to a bunch of their songs too then I promise I'll even share your videos too ok you're awesome thanks
Sum 41 still waiting
GOD!!!!! Those skater days back in the day. Although I never learned how to skate, I enjoyed hanging out with skaters around my area. Those days were fun.
The hell song and Still waiting. PLEASE!!!
Sum 41- Underclass hero is one of my favourites!
High school memories.. you nailed it spot on that's exactly what this song is about teenage rebellion
This song gets me HYPED!! 100% every time!
Fun fact, they shot this whole video in like a day or so and nothing was really scripted. They just set up a big party and told everyone to fuck around while they record if I'm not mistaken.
Watched BTS of this... Band didn't even know about most crazy stuff going on while they played. Classic.
Fuuuuck, the memories of much better times. How can you not feel great listening to this?
Dividing by Zero/Slim Pickens Does the Right Thing and Rides the Bomb to Hell by the Offspring!
Two songs, one badass video, you need to check it out
Together with Blink182, Sum41 were THE band of my teenage years, this brings back so many memories! I think a reaction to "In too deep" would be cool, that's a great song ^^
I was told the band's name came from the amount change they had in their pockets when they started it. Great band
I remember when this song first came out.i still feel that good when.i hear this song to this day!! Great reaction
YES!!! Pleeeeaaaase dive down the pop punk rabbit hole. I cant help but smile when I see videos from bands in this genre. Reminds me of such a fun time in my life
Sum 41 is so good, listen to still waiting by them, you will not be disappointed!
Its funny how much those bands were derided by hardcore fans of punk, but no doubt about it, some of these songs, like this one, really do stand the test of time. Great, fun music, and thats what it was all about :)
This is one of my favorite videos of all time. I want to go back in time and be at that party.
