Sum 41: "Let's all wear hats and not tell Dave"
Dave's hat phase was over after chuck lol
Lol it’s cuz he’s the only one that doesn’t look like a senior, why hide a nice head of hair
Lol at least he still has a good haircut
@@itwontcomeout5678 their all balding ahaha
😂😂😂😂😂
early 2000’s was such a good time for pop-punk/punk :(
AgentMinor ReligionBrigade nah... lmao pop punk>punk
@@IwillHeadbuttWhenLosing if you're a child, sure
@@KM-zw9qb what are you even saying rn? Idk how to respond, so I'm just going to state the obvious here. You're a moron not even a point in debating someone so braindead that they see someone who disagrees with them and then says "hey your a kid". Just such a lame excuse for not being able to explain your dumb opinion...
Ok if we're talking hardcore punk thats late 70s-mid 80s. Punk rock arguably late 80s-mid 90s. Pop punk definitely late 90s-early 2000s.
@@Abel-Alvarez how tf was Punk Rock in its prime in late 80s to mid 90s. Sex pistols, ramones, the clash... All mid 70s to early 80s. Hardcore was more of a mid to late 80s thing with bands like minor thread, black flag and dead kennedys.
Tom and Frank: awkwardly watching their bandmate's old stuff 😂
Yes best thing ever 😅😅😅
They remind me of Travis Barker
OMG. NOW THAT YOU MENTIONED IT! HELLA WEIRD
I felt like they should have just thrown in a Gob music video just so Tom could say something.
I was just about to say the same thing 😂😂
I honestly wish that being a teenager was as cool as their videos.
It was for me
@@rickyray2794 We litterally were copying what sum41 was doing in there video with my highschool friends like the diving with two people clinged to each other lol
It was for the 90's
really Respect Sum 41 for Appreciating 80's Metal during the early 2000s
Especially since they referenced Iron Maiden and Judas Priest in Fat Lip
They were wearing Iron Maiden shirts when it was considered a pop and pop punk era. That says a lot about them.
They're directly responsible for my love of dual lead guitars and general NOWBHM-ness. I give em more credit than Linkin Park or Korn for getting people into full on real heavy metal.
any decent pop punk band was influenced by metal
@@A2Z83 so...Just Sum41 then lol? can't think of any other pop punk band with metal influences and I'm surrounded by pop punk cos of my girlfriend lol.
Seeing 'Fat Lip' on TV as a kid was honestly life altering
honestlyyyyyt
Watching 'Fat lip' on yt as a teen was honestly life altering
The Fat Lip total chaos style of video is my favorite.
My favorite type of video is “The Hell Song” type of total chaos style.
My favorite chaos video was "what we're allá about" even they have Kerry king un the video
They said it was awkward for them to rap in front of those cashier's/ that elder. I thought they were just obnoxious youngens, rappin to anyone who would listen to them, the "local gas station, friendly dudes." The way that older dude smiled & gave them his approval 🤭🤗.
It's chaotic
This is so cool. 16 years ago, when I was 6, my brother had a bunch of ripped songs on our Xbox. Linkin Park, Kanye, and Sum 41. Still Waiting was the first rock song I ever heard, and from that moment you guys changed my life forever. I never thought rock would make a comeback, but seeing you guys still alive makes me feel like rock is too. Thanks for the vid, God bless, & stay punk!
Dave aged really well.
He's what the ladies refer to as a Brownsound Silver Fox, lol.
He alone aged well
I think the drummer was way older than the rest
did he even age lol
Dave looks younger for some reason.
These last few months I've been coming back to Fatlip and In too Deep. They remind me of all that was best in the 90s, the parties, the feeling that anything was possible and nothing was beyond us. I will listen to these songs till the day I die, and if I'm listening to them at the time, I'll die happy!
2000 - Pop punk teenagers with spiky hair
2019 - Old school midlife-crisis dads using fedoras
You don’t use a fedora dumbass
You mean wearing?
to these people a fedora is wielded, not worn
Yeah, but they're rad dads.
Wait, people are supposed to stay the same age, wear the same clothes, and do the same things for 19 years?
I LOVE YOU BROWN SOUND!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰💕💕💕💕💕♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️😘😘😘🥰💕❤️❤️💙💙💙❤️❤️
I could listen to Brownsound talk all day.
You're fucking everywhere!
Dave is funny af.
@@carlosmatos9848 Well and he's the only one that didn't get hit hard by the age stick. Actually he got better looking.
I could too !
In Too Deep was the first song I heard by these guys and it’s one of my favourites, it just kicks ass
They have tons of great stuff man, if you're just getting into the Sums then you're on your way to finding a whole lot of really great music! Listen to Chuck (2004) all the way through--it's one of the best damn rock albums *ever*, and I've listened to a lot!
Mine was "Fat Lip."
Me too!!! The first thing i saw/hear from them was In too deep too😁
It does
Same
This needs to be a series in which musicians react to their music videos
"I gave my robe to my mom...."
Thats the most honest thing I've heard in a long time.
This is the band that started it all for me! The first gig I ever went to was seeing these guys play at Wembley in 2003! It was one of the greatest days of my life!
Me too - I seen them in Glasgow 2003. I think American hi fi and the mighty mighty boss tones were supporting 😊
I'm glad you guys are starting to realize just how good this band is.
Michael O Callaghan they're also pretty metallic for a pop punk band, they really haven't been poppy in years 😂
@TheOtherWhiteBread0Sum41 don't get the recognition that Green Day and Blink 182 get even though I feel they should.
Mordykinz I'm a metalhead, and I see many bands becoming water down clones of each other. As if there asking another band if they can use some of their guitar riffs, and solos. I'm beginning to see the older bands were good. Old bands from the 80's to the early 2010-2011 was great for me when it came to metal. Also because I was 14 1/2 years old when I got into metal music. That was back in 2009, but I really got more into it In 2010, and a year after it was 2011 so I had a year of experiencing this. I was asking myself how could these amazing people come up with such roller coaster music. It's amazing. I'm 24 now, and I'm not as hyped up as my early teen years of being a metalhead, but im still a metalhead, and I still headbang I just don't have enough energy to be jumping around really haha...
@@thelastdaybreathinginetern1385 uhhh yea
Mordykinz 😊
There would be amazing to make a 2nd episode for this content and to be honest there are enough material:
- Makes no difference (first clip)
- Its what we're all about (Spiderman official)
- Motivation (simply classic)
- We're all to blame
- Some Say (in my opinion the best official video clip by Sum 41)
I think these are definetely classic videos
Deryck needs to watch Sum 41 videos more often :)
He's happy and smiling :')
“That’s not my dad” lmfao
“Its my brother” had me gasping for air
Frank and Tom like "yeah okay cool"
🤷♂️😂😂😂

gennaro antonio de falco sure ! I miss him :(
@@alexmadworld4691 we all miss SteveO :(
It's crazy that you can just call him nowadays.
Email Gabungan If I remember well, he wanted to spend more time with his familly. But he is still a bit active on Cone’s side project called the operation m.d.
Email Gabungan he apparently is a full time realtor and part time drummer of The Vandals. I found it interesting that Brownsound wore a Vandals shirt for this.
Gonna miss these guys. One of the greatest bands in the punk rock genre of all time 💯🔥
All killer no filler was the first album I got after my dad whent to jail for 15 years It really helped me pull out of my depression He just got released last year. Thanks for making my childhood so much better sum41.
What did he do
@@pizzahead2919 killed a guy
That's a crazy story.it sucks what happens in life, the changes, lapses in judgement etc.glad music pulled you through tho
In 2003 My dad went to jail for 5 years, serving only 3 out of it though. It was exactly the time when these videos where around.
@@zigi5432 in jan 2003 my dad went to jail for one year too😂
sum 41 were one of the many soundtracks to my middle school years
4:42 - and I remember that it was The Strokes, The Hives, The Vines, The White Stripes and The Killers
those were the main 5
ik this is 3 years ago, but where is the i cant see you
Tom and Frank just sitting there and smile while watching their bandmates old videos 😂❤️
Still waiting always was my favorite song, still one of my favorites today. I'm so glad to see Deryck recovered and back doing music again.
"That is not my father" - Dave Baksh
That part had me dying lol 😂
haha
There's a DVD that allows you to watch the Fat Lip video with audio commentary from the band, when that part comes on Dave says "and that is NOT my dad, you fucking assholes!" Lmao!
sprinks41 lmfao
@@jdlarkin87 "that is NOT my dad you fucks" - best DVD extras ever. The live dvd was trash tho.
I love these guys. True gentlemen and artists and even though the band was massively successful, they were STILL underrated.
Love these guys. Even after all these years, they still kick ass. Word
Damn these songs bring back my childhood haha good times.
cfraser650 for realz
I still remember going to Zellers and buying DTLI with change at 13 and my mom questioning the cover art. Lol Still one of my favorite albums of all time.
And putting the CD in my Walkman and rollerblading around the neighborhood with a hockey stick and rubber ball, thinking I was Jarome Iginla. Good times. Good album.
Strolling through the party like my name is Ill Nino? Not the other rock band. Not that I'm saying, that's what they're sayin' 🤔🤷♀️ but by context, I think they mean a hurricane?
I now need kids to stay off my lawn. They ruin the pretty patterns I create & sh. 🐩😤✋Plus, they're always stealing sh from me & taking sh. from me, moving things around. That don't even belong to them. I hate those Rugrats.
Sum 41 along with many other bands are the reason I didn't break down from life's pressures. Sum 41 alone saved me from being In too Deep with my depression and made me stronger as a person, letting me feel comfortable in my own skin. Maybe one day I will get the chance to let them know how much they affected my life in such a great way.
*GUYS YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED 1 FEDORA GUY PER GROUP, YA BLEW IT*
tom was first!
GrungeRockGod ones a trilby not a fedora so they’re good
Dicks Malone Fuck you got there before me.
They’re actually forbidden, most bands turn to shit once fedoras are introduced
Now they’re a ska band.
I like how in all the music videos while everyone is being destructive and causing chaos Cone is just being Cone by being absolutely adorable
You can tell they miss Stevo. Wont talk about it, but its the funniest stuff to them.
Christian Rosado what happened to him?
Foley Yayo When Stevo left the band it was Aparently under bad terms with Deryck. Then when Deryck was hospitalized, Stevo never visited him. After he was recovering Deryck had an interview where he said there were people who I thought were close to me, but turns out werent really my friends. People who never visited me. “I remember all I could think was they are dead to me, they are dead to me.” So in most interviews he avoids the whole Stevo subject. Nobody really knows what happened. Rumors are it had to do anlot with Derycks alcohol abuse and how Stevo was tired of it all and wanted to live a more chill life. Nowadays Stevo is a realtor, does stand up comedy and will ocasionally play with other bands.
@@christianrosado8838 that's so sad. I really hope they can be friends again in the future. When Stevo left the band my heart just broke lol. They were my favorite band when I was in middle school

Fat lip was one of the reasons I bought my current car... an el camino.
Have you crashed in the back of it yet?
@@Dunkskins Hell ya. I got a lighter powered air mattress that I toss back their. My girlfriend loves it too.
@@Dunkskins Hahahahaha yeah, you're not a "real" El Camino owner if you've never gotten piss drunk and fallen asleep in the back! It's a legal requirement when you buy one--you pay for the vehicle, go to the DMV and do the paperwork and install the license plate, but it's still not yours yet. You have to get shitfaced drunk and fall asleep in the back, and then the government considers you to be the legal owner of the El Camino :)
It wasn’t breaking bad
In Too Deep was the song that got me into Sum 41 and to this day remains my favorite song. Underclass Hero being a close second
Underclass hero my fav sum 41 song

What a throwback, great memories from this songs. The new album is great too, I've been listening to "Heads will Roll" non stop since it came out. Other honorable mentions "the new sensation" and "catching fire" are also stuck on me. Great job guys
Glad to see the band together and looking great. Can’t wait to relive my youth and make new memories... once e we get this country back on track

Very much into behind the scenes footage and this is awesome!!
I listened to Sum 41 every day when I was 14 until I was 18 and still listened to them up until I was 21 and every now and then I go back and listen to them and try and feel the same way I did as a kid. Sucks growing up.
Just caught their set at Warped Tour 25 in Mountain View. They still kill it and the crowd goes wild for every song like it’s the mid 2000’s.
Nice to see the band again. Grew up listening to their music. Still listening to them in 2019
“This was the funnest part!!”
