Fun fact: All you see in this video is just one big 2 day party with everything going for real. The band said in one of the interviews that the original plan went up in smoke so they had to come up with something for the music video. So they just invited a bunch of people from the neighborhood, told them to go bananas and threw down a 2 day party. By the end of the first day they were so wasted - they couldn’t move and barely spoke. On the second day they were so sore from jumping and headbanging they had crew members rub them with IcyHot so they could finish the shoot. So day 2 for them was the worst cause they had to shoot while they were having a really bad hangover and sore from partying on day 1. That’s what I call true, hardcore punk behavior.
The way I heard it they didn't invite anyone or announce it. They just set up in that area and started to play the same song repeatedly. All those people just showed up, either on their own or by being alerted by their friends. By filming hundreds of takes of the song they were able to edit it to create the final video. The result has an honesty about it showing real people having a great time. Quite a contrast to videos full of extras that were selected in a casting call. I think it was a great idea and the video as a result is outstanding.
I love how some people are total fans like the girl singing up front. Then right beside her is a girl NOT FEELING IT AT ALL! Lol. Then the girl in blue dancing, and later she is in her car looking pissed off. It’s REAL. Song totally kix too!
