For some reason i always get the urge to replay the Uncharted games every fall/winter. I think it reminds me of getting a couple of them for Christmas when I was younger. This video came out with perfect timing, I think I'll redownload my Uncharted games and give them another run

Unfortunately I don't think that would happen. Amy Hennig is gone and Druckmann doesn't have any love for the series. His baby is Last of Us and he's gonna milk it for all its worth.
@@dagrimmreepai have my criticisms of duckmann but i just don’t think that’s true. druckmann cowrote uncharted 2 and 4, he clearly has an issue with milking the last of us, but i think saying he has no love for uncharted is a bit far fetched
I bought a PS4 this year - the first PlayStation I’ve ever had - so I could finally play all of the Uncharted games. The first and 3rd games were very rough and difficult to get through (gameplay for the first, story for the 3rd). But I’ve absolutely fallen in love. The closest thing we’ve ever gotten to an authentic Indiana Jones videogame experience. Since July, I’ve played all the games including Lost Legacy, replaying U4 on Crushing difficulty (will not be playing the first 3 on anything but Normal after already beating them on Hard, gameplays just too rough) and just recently replayed 1 & 2 to collect every single collectible. This series has become one of my favorites of all time, even though I just played these for the first time after this franchises end 5 years ago.
The underground Nazi base is the best part of Drakes Fortune. It’s hinted at the entire game. I’d go as far as to say it inspired another Naughty Dog game; the one that became a HBO classic.
I always loved the paranormal stuff in Uncharted and while it's unrealistic they could've added a touch to Uncharted 4 to build up a pirate mistery that I love but could see the twist for a mile away. They are pirates, It couldn't have ended any other way.
I'm eagerly waiting for December because I made this system where at the start of December I would give myself until Christmas (25 days) to beat all 5 uncharted games. I made this because it gets me into the Christmas spirit but also reminds me of when I first got the games for Christmas. Highly recommend having a seasonal game you only play around Christmas or any holiday for that matter.
I do something very similar. Every year, On my winter break, (~21 days) I try to beat every Batman Arkham game. And on my summer break, (Early June to Mid August) I try to beat all 4 Uncharted games twice. Yes, twice. (I really wish I had Lost Legacy) Anyway, have a seasonal game/series that you play around Christmas or summer. It's really fun.

Just got a ps5 and I’m gonna be playing uncharted 4 for the first time on it. I got the Nathan drake collection ps4 as a kid (and had no idea what uncharted even meant) and it was an absolute blast. Can’t wait to play after Spider-Man 2.
Holy shit. This is everything I wished for. After so many years of loving this game so much someone makes a 3 hour video about it. This is amazing bro thank you so much for finally really looking at this marble .
I would love to see remakes of the older uncharted games, especially Golden Abyss (I'm sure that the legacy of Theives collection, Last of us 2 abd Part 1 combined have enough assets between them to cover most of the assets required for the first 4 games), but I'd also absolutely love a sequel series with Cassie Drake as the main protagonist and Nathan in a Sully-type role, like you said.
As much as I love Uncharted 4, it always sorta lacked the insanity that U2 and U3 had. U4 feels to mature not a bad thing per se. But to me there is something about going on a swashbuckling adventure for treasure, that you need to get down and dirty and ofc cheese it a bit. That's how the original Indiana Jones Trilogy also was made. Also the hesitancy from Nathan in U4 sorta conflicts with the player wanting to find the treasure. Sure you kinda go by proxy to Sam, but that turns it into an extra step. So in that sense the story is kinda un-intentionally is fighting the player. And I guess TLOU P2 has that issue to me as well, though the latter might be actually intentional. Which generates some resistance playing or replaying Uncharted 4. While previous entry's just suck you in and you are on this wild roller coaster popcorn ride. Am all for submitting myself to the story/narration to a game, but if gets in they of player agency in a video game it gets counter intuitive. And I worry that this might become a thing for future Naughty Dog games.
I love the uncharted series and tomb raider series I grew up on back in the ps1 days. I even have the same ring as a necklace. No matter how many reviews I watch of games I’ve already played I always look forward to watching yours too lmao
I beat uncharted 1 on hard mode in one sitting, and it took seven hours. I don't know about my time compared to others or if it was fast or slow but I thought the game was too easy for hard mode and I checked multiple time to see if I accidentally changed it to medium. The game was pretty good, though.
uncharted 1 was the blueprint naughty dog needed to make so that every other instalment afterwards just takes and expands on what people loved and reworks what people didn't enjoy, Uncharted 2 was a masterpiece. Its almost like every sequel game during the 360/PS3 era like ACII, MW2, BO2 and Batman arkham city all were insanely good and better than their previous games. Modern gaming nowadays suxass
Actually, Rafe's insecurities that led to his quest for glory were lampshaded by Nate near the ending during a jeep section, I think it was a bit after Elena found him after he fell. So Rafe's complexities were not just due to that one last line. I admit they were subtle about it but I love subtlety and his obsession with the treasure makes so much sense when understanding what drives him. Personally, my favorite Uncharted villain AND Uncharted character in general. 😊
My first experience with uncharted was the nathan drake collection back when I first got my ps4 in 2017, and now it's one of my favorite series of all time
I absolutely love this series. I go back and forth between choosing 2 and 4. Although when I replay the series I never play the first game. I only watch the cutscenes. Because I actually think the story in drakes fortune is still a blast to watch. I just think that playing it is a chore unfortunately lol
Glad to hear your thoughts on this luke. I think it looks beautiful and cannot wait to get lost in Pandora. I hope it's really good and gets worthwhile sequels
One tactic (if a little risky) on taking down Draza in Uncharted 2 is melee him and the. After the series of attacks, blast him with your guns, then repeat
There is not another franchise like Uncharted. It's a bloody shame Sony / Naughty Dog have ostensibly abandoned it, despite Uncharted 4 selling 20+ million copies.
An idea that I always had is that Nate could have a white long bandana or handkerchief in his back pocket or waist that fills up with red as he's closer to death and when its becomes red completely, Nate dies. I always liked the look of the game so its always lame when theres no color and you cant see the guys shooting you.
Played these games for the first time last year minus the vita game. Awesome series, 2 was my personal favorite, i gave 1 a break for the reasons you said, 3 was the weakest story in my opinion. 4 was very satisfying. Legacy was a nice short to the point title like Miles Morales was to the spiderman series.
To the point of uncharted 3 on them being able to sneak behind you I never experienced this or at least don’t remember it being a problem and I regularly replay these games on high difficulties
I fell asleep watching someone else, but woke up to this and kept me entertained while not wanting to get out of bed 😂 i love videos like this and yours are very good
It's probably too late to comment on this, but I also have a problem with the ps5 controller being as big as it is, so I connected the ps4 controller to the ps5, and it helped me a lot.
There's a theory that Talbot is secretly a Djin who is using Marlowe and her men to release other Djinn which would explain his seemingly supernatural feats.
I am pretty much in sync with you through the series. As far as Nadine and Legacy having two women, people will complain about women. Gaming had always been seen as a boys hobby so they feel threatened by a woman, but the only argument I see is that for Legacy. I didn’t want to play as Raiden in MGS2, and they don’t want to play as either woman in an Uncharted game. I think Chloe is a great character and I could listen to Claudia Black all day long. As mentioned, I think many people have a hard time keeping their personal politics out of it, and I get that it can be tough, but it’s nearly 2024. It’s time to hang up the gloves and stop fighting any and all progress. If you don’t like it, vote with your wallet. Lastly, what if that company making an Uncharted was Bend Studios? They made Golden Abyss and even though I REALLY liked Days Gone, I guess most didn’t. I think they could do great things with the franchise.
I’ve been personally replaying through every uncharted game. And I decided I would watch your video in tandem with my succession of each game. I must say it’s been a blast. (Can’t play golden abyss no vita 😭) I’m currently up to uncharted 4, just finished 3 last night and I gotta get as much of 4 done as I can cause the new dlc comes out for mortal kombat today and my lord I gotta get on that. Anyways 10/10 vid so far
Uncharted 4 spoilers: I do like how once Nate reunites with Sam near the start, Nate says he’s been on so many adventures that he doesnt know where to start. Sam responds with “start with the best part”. So canonically which ever adventure you as the player deemed as the best prior to 4, that’s the one Nate sees as the best too Also 7:48 I think another funny but likely unintentional reason that there isnt a mini map or even a radar for enemies is because. Well. It’s uncharted. There are no maps to draw upon
Idk if what im about to say makes sense but there are few games/movies of true adventure and that feeling just diminish as time goes on. Uncharted is my favorite game. And although my dumb brain says " MORE NATE!!!" I hope he is put to rest. Just imagining a new game where he appears out of nowhere in a small cameo, i can see the OG fans freaking out and having a good time. The possible futures u talked about honestly sounded great, the concerned father, the daughter following the steps and who knows maybe a make sidekick and Nate gets a lil overprotective lol. I just wanna say I’ll be replaying these games until I die, they just get better and better with every entry Edit: maybe the daughter meets a guy whos like young nate and falls in love and wants to be with him but Nate doesn’t like that he sees himself in the guy. So he and she argue and have a fall out and then Dad powers coming through when she needs it and then he needs to trust the new dude to help and yeah my brain lol. "What if the luckiest man alive was put in extreme situations" - I’ll carry this forever
I love this series but was so sad to see that uncharted 4 didnt have brutal mode or donut drake, as ive beaten 1,2, and 3 on brutal. To this day that is my biggest accomplishment in life.
1 was ok for 2007. 2 was perfection even for today’s standards. 3 is outstanding but a bit too unrealistic and over the top. 4 is again perfection and closes the franchise in a very satisfactory way.
umm, in pokemon Platinum you need to blow into a microfone of your console to clear the trap in the underground. To evolve Inkay you need to hold your console upside down. IN usper mario galaxy you need to hold your controller vertically and tilt it to controll Mario while he is riding the glass ball. All of that was sucessfully emulated. Single keyboard button press to emulate noise in microphone, mouse swipe down while holding left button to emulate holding console upside down and a single button hold to indicate that controller is in vertical position and WASD to tilt it. I think there is nothing hard to emulate light source detector reacting to ligh
Something i want to say about Nadine and power scaling in general is that gameplay isnt canon. You made great points to defend her character and Nates physical state at the time of these scenes. I want to be charitible to the Nathan stans and say that this is an example of gameplay not being canon and fans confusing writing by the author and freedom of the player. This reminds me of when the devs said that Nates health bar is actually his luck and when he dies, his luck ran out. On technicality, its one or two blows that kills him. With Nathans luck in mind, Nadine standing up to him is more plausible. Gameplay isnt Canon and we need to be careful to not get player freedom and authorial intent mixed up.
Thank you!! I could make a video on the dlc but to be honest it feels so pointless. Anyone who criticises the game is told to “git gud” and it makes any discussion pretty boring. Maybe if I get over that then I can do it but I don’t know.
The tangent about Nadine is so satisfying to hear because of how it detangles such a stupid, pointless argument. Of course Nate is gonna lose against the LEADER OF A MERC GROUP IN CQC. He's got other stuff he specializes in, and also he's washed up. Thank you for bringing up and destroying that idiotic take.
ua-cam.com/video/BX-BzV8RIJE/v-deo.html - I've had an idea relating to how the gameplay could be adapted going forward but it is story dependant as far as I can think. So the "web" with linear paths you mention could be used as such and the "hub" you mention could also be used as it's centre. The story would need multiple factions, all competing for the same prize (not uncommon in the Uncharted series) and you have to catch up or stay ahead of the other factions to get there first with what piece of the puzzle you have that gives you the edge over them. You start on a linear path for a mission or two, then expand it into the web like design with the hub. From here you can choose to go down whatever route you like with varying outcomes depending on where you go first, who you kill or save, if you lose companions etc, concluding in different endings due to your actions or even the same ending but with a different path so that there is a definitive ending for the game. I think this would make for an excellent Uncharted game to develop further on from 4 and LL in terms of scope.
Ive played the first three, and ive got the fourth but my ps5 seems to glitch the game out really bad every time i try to play so im looking for my ps4 again to play it
It's the emulation tech in the ps5. For some reasom it hates this game and a lot of ps2 games. They have the ps5 version of UC4 for 20$ currently though if interested
@@ThatBoyAqua Lol that's fair enough. I'm holding off on buying it myself because it's like 40 dollars which is insane for vr where most games are about 20
Made me tear up just reading your comment. When my wife got pregnant from her boyfriend Hank we named the child Nathan Francis Morbius in honor of Naughty Dog's heckin amazing video game series
Weren't the Djinn enemies in Uncharted 3 just a part of the water hallucination of the Ancient City that Nate drank? I think you didn't get that because at 2:39:07 you said they were real and they were just a product of that poisoned water. That's why that city and its civilization crumbled, bc of that water. So... No Djinns, just drugs lol
I still prefer 2 & 3 over 4, & that's not nostalgia talking. I've played these games all in a span of a year on the ps4. Yeah U4 obviously looks better but it has slower pacing. 2 & 3 just has better & more fun set pieces. Lost legacy isn't bad but it's kinda forgettable compare to the other games even the first one

You should donthe God of War series. Plenty of material for you there
Uncharted is my favourite series of recent times.
I literally just started my first playthrough of the first 3 games and this pops up lmao
This guy is goated frfr. Lots of people doing it, not like him though
Great video 😊
I still havent actually played the 1st one. Finally got a Vita and played Golden Abyss though
Music is grate in all of the games from series
u got me white the second monitor
As someone who sleeps to these. Thank you
I see you, sir
Omds new video to sleep to everyday
Sure am listening to this as I full asleep 😂
I think 4 is the best, even better than 2. More mature and I am very happy Amy left because 3 was a MESS.
Great videos I hope you can do the Elden ring dlc ❤❤😊😊😊loved your arkham vids 🎉❤❤❤
Thank you!! I could make a video on the dlc but to be honest it feels so pointless. Anyone who criticises the game is told to “git gud” and it makes any discussion pretty boring. Maybe if I get over that then I can do it but I don’t know.

Okay I wasn't the only one lmao.
Love how you cover games. Id rank
UC4 (top 5 games for me)
UC2
UC:LL
UC3
UC1
ua-cam.com/video/BX-BzV8RIJE/v-deo.html - I've had an idea relating to how the gameplay could be adapted going forward but it is story dependant as far as I can think.
Unrelated but are you ever gonna cover the God of War series?
Ive played the first three, and ive got the fourth but my ps5 seems to glitch the game out really bad every time i try to play so im looking for my ps4 again to play it
It's the emulation tech in the ps5. For some reasom it hates this game and a lot of ps2 games. They have the ps5 version of UC4 for 20$ currently though if interested
Are you planning on reviewing Assassin's Creed Nexus?
Maybe next year but I don’t even have a quest yet lol
@@ThatBoyAqua Lol that's fair enough. I'm holding off on buying it myself because it's like 40 dollars which is insane for vr where most games are about 20
Nothin’ but love ❤️
1:37 Naughty Dong 😂
u didnt even put the good uncharted 2 theme song in
Damn shame I own all the uncharted games and installed but only beat uncharted 4.
Naughty dog would've been better off remaking the ps3 uncharted games starting with Drake's Fortune 🤔💯
The Lost Legacy is perfectly fine but definitely not timeless. Uncharted isn't the same without Nathan Drake in some capacity.
I’ll never forget the first time I heard Nathan Drake tell Sully, “it’s Morbin time”
Made me tear up just reading your comment.
Did you mean to release this the second part 2 remastered got announced
It just saddens me, this was when naughty dog actually made really good games. The first 2 were the best 3 is ok 4 is mid
1:58:09 what was this guy yapping about 💀
Sic Parvis Magna.
Does anyone think asylum is the worst? Its the best of them and I actually feel city is too overrated. But maybe thats just me.
You are amazing you should do fallout next
I still prefer 2 & 3 over 4, & that's not nostalgia talking. I've played these games all in a span of a year on the ps4. Yeah U4 obviously looks better but it has slower pacing. 2 & 3 just has better & more fun set pieces. Lost legacy isn't bad but it's kinda forgettable compare to the other games even the first one
Are you ever gonna do the last of us games?
Yea I’d like to at some point. Might have to turn the comments off though lol
El god damn Dorado
