Many thanks for the video. I have a Tecumseh engine in a go-cart. It has good compression, valve clearance, & a reasonable spark, but won't fire up even with pouring a drop of fresh petrol into the plug hole & spraying a drop of easystart into the carburettor airway. Any suggestions please.? TIA.
Cant wait to see more videos. I'm modifying a similar engine from an old kart as well!
Matthew Maynard Awesome, I hope you enjoy. Thanks for watching
Can you tell me where you bought the carb?
Anyone find a flywheel that fits these engine?
I found a billet rod but no flywheel. Running a non gov engine is sorta risky
Many thanks for the video.

maybe a vacuum leak somewhere
Yeah, no. He's wrong. My guess is timing is off. Probably sheared flywheel key
The cam is flat. They wont run on anything but starting fluid when that's the case.
Something cheap is valve shims itll let you rev higher without valve float so a lot more power im building a mini chopper with a tecumseh
Hell yeah I forgot about shims
UMM
I have a go kart it has a tecumseh engine in it and I took it out and put a predator 420
“Tecumsuh”
Takeing the governor off will that blow the engine up?
no but it can make the flywheel explode basically
