- I work on my predator 212cc go kart's steering, and bumper. I up-jet the carb, install a bigger clutch, spark plug, I clean it, paint it and install a velocity stack!!

Imagine what kind of speeds you can get if you had a transmission.
52 mph... if you are going to sit the helmet on your head, at least buckle it. If you wreck, that helmet will not stay on your head and do you one bit of good without it being buckled.
Lol it's better than what I do, going about 50 or 60 in sharp turns with no helmet and flipping a lot

Great to see a young man wrenching. love it. one bit of advise, if you are cranking that engine to 6000rpm you should think of a aluminum rod and flywheel. if the stock stuff fails its a big mess and u can get hurt

Hey Vasily does it do much with stock 212 flywheel to advance 8deg I have basically stage 2 now but seems that the gearing is hurting performance, #41 chain with 10t clutch 48 sprocket on 11" Hoosiers top speed 44mph

hey I have a gokart 208r with a stage 1 intake and jet and a stage 3 exhaust and it goes about 20 something if I put a racing cdi 18lb springs and a Honda clone racing spark plug on it will I be going faster? Thanks

What kind of internals were you running at that point? Did you have a billet rod? I just removed my 212s governor and put heavier valve springs in it among other things. I'm hoping my conrod doesnt fly out and kill me.
Stock internals. 22lbs springs and under don't worry bout the rod flying

I have a race engine one yard kart. With 12 inch tires,running 35 chain, 85 tooth rear 12 tooth front, I can hit 55. With a 7.1 gear ratio. Granted I'm screaming at 10500 rpm, but holy hell does it get there quick

you runing such a thick oil can cause early engine failure that engine calls for 5w 30 in summer 5w 20 in winter
My spark plugs get real dark also why is that then kart won't start again
PryoKnocker 209 Just not enough air for the fuel coming in. Your engine won't start? I use a simple diagnosis 1)fuel flow 2)air 3)spark 4) compression

I dont know man sounds wierd. Sometimes the spark is real tiny. If Coils could have gotten wet or dirty try cleaning them?
A black, feathery carbon deposit on your spark plug can be an indication of a weak spark or an overly rich fuel mixture. Causes may include a stuck choke, misadjusted or heavy carburetor float, a leaky injector or carburetor needle valve, low coil output or high resistance in your spark plug wires.
On my go kart only one tire spins

A little tip if you want better compression take off the head and put it on a belt sander that decreases the size of the combustion chamber and boom more compression :)
