If you made two of them and made them a little longer, they would work great for holding a bed roll to hang under a hiking pack. Great idea good sir.
You beat me to it! I was thinking the same thing. Lol
That's also a great idea! I've done a blanket/bedroll holder before, but it was two loops with a solomon knot handle in the middle as a connector. But I think this would definitely make for a great single point bed roll holder too. I just might have to make a quick follow up for this one. Thanks for sharing that!
@@TheWeaversofEternity You are welcome. I enjoy you videos alot. I have been trying to figure out the nunchucks but i just cant get them evenly balanced.
Yes!!! Thank you!!!
👏👏👏👍
Great minds think alike.
Before you started making it, when you were talking about the changeable weather, I thought to myself it must be a holder to carry the jacket when you're not wearing it. I've used many things for that exact purpose, but this is the best I've seen thus far. I was genuinely hoping that's what it was. I was definitely not disappointed. Great design. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!
Thanks so much for the support Hector! 🙏
Living here in Pennsylvania, its been the same way lately. Mornings you need a hoodie, or at least a long sleeve. Then by afternoon you're sweating to death. Some evenings it gets chilly, but not always. Great video. I love the idea!!
Yup! Those spring and fall seasons are great, but they do get weird with the temps sometimes. Glad you like this one and thanks for checking it out and commenting!
@@TheWeaversofEternity there's quite a few I like, but I watch on my TV so it's harder to comment. I really enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the great work. Thank you for taking time to reply back. 🙂 Enjoy the rest of your day.
It's a hoodie keeper, or blanket roll keeper.. 4:39. And yeah I agree with brooks, pa weather has been ridiculous lately
This is absolutely incredible. It is an extra hand when backpacking and hiking. I will be making a couple of these for my next backpacking trip in the UK!! Thanks for sharing this and all of your other projects.
Thank you for the kind words! It definitely frees up some hands. I hope they serve you well on the backpacking trip. You're very welcome!
Right when you asked it, 0:37. Your setup gave it away. Jacket holder.
Haha, yeah I guess I did. I was trying to create some intrigue, but I guess I ran my mouth too much lol
Hi Tim, loving your channel brother!! Your awesome!! And the background music..?! I’m loving it thank you so much my friend!! Be well!! See you on the next project on Patreon!!👍🏿💯❤️
Hey Hector! Thanks for stopping by brother, here is the list of songs I used:
Ginger Chews - Dylan Sitts
Tortoise Shell - Jobii
Brew - Jobii
I think you should be able to listen to them for free on epidemicsound.com
I have a much simpler solution: take a piece of paracord, loop the ends together and make a double fishermen's knot - pull the knots apart and a second loop appears, where you can place anything that has a neck. I use it for water bottles, shoes, clothing, blankets/bedroll etc. Depending on the lenght of your cordage you can throw the outer loop over your shoulder, tie it to your pack or your belt - no hardware needed. For a larger bedroll or tarp I take a piece of paracord and, using a single fishermen's knot, make a loop in each end, attach each loop close to the side of the bedroll - the connecting paracord gives you a nice handle.
Not as pretty as your hanger, but easy and very versatile without any hardware and without cutting the paracord.
You Canadians come up with good projects..thanks from Texas
You're welcome!
That is incredible!!!
Thanks, glad you like it!
A jacket holder… I like my idea for the camera holder, ski poles or umbrella lol…. Never would I have guessed "jacket holder" yesterday on that post lol…. It is a cool idea… now I gotta make one…😂😂😂❤❤❤
Haha, well you were close Holly! If anything I'll have to whip up some sort of universal "holder" that can accommodate anything! It might look like a mess though lol
@@TheWeaversofEternity Tim,that little contraption there could be used for a lot of things! It’s really cool! And like somebody mentioned, if you made the straps with the clips just a bit bigger, you could use it to hold a bed roll… but I think it would work better for that if it was a double…like have a strap going between two of those holders and a second carabiner…. Like make two those and then connect them with a strap about a foot long between them…. Does that make sense? Anyway, I really like your idea… it is definitely worth making… would keep a lot of people from tying their jackets around their waist lol….
Bro!! 🤩❤️ Love it!! Looks like I might need some copper cordage 😉😁
Hey thanks Bobby! Oh and I misspoke in the video, the color of the paracord is actually mustard. I have it linked in the description. I do like the sound of "copper" better than "mustard" though lol
@@TheWeaversofEternity haha yeah I went to your website and found copperhead so I watched the video. Fall colors would do well since it is the season when jackets go on and off 😁🤩
0:07 guessed it! Some sort of jacket storage.🎉
Very cool and super useful. Thank you.
Awesome, glad you found it useful!
Around 0:19 and I will certainly make one for myself for the exact same reasons. 😅
Great idea and looks very nice :)
i figured out it was very cool! love it
Haha, glad you think so! Thanks!
Great idea 💡 🎉
I just finished it! Brilliant!!❤
Great to hear, thanks!
1:23 My guess - its a sweater/jacket sling 🤔😏
Hoody Dingler 🤔🤣
I would call it, maybe.
This is such a cool idea. I made two exactly how you did yours and they worked out great. But then i got thinking about when i'm fly fishing and i'm hiking up a stream trying to carry a second rod case. so i made up two more that use 4 feet of paracord for a bit more loop length. now i can strap my rod case across my backpack.
That's a great idea and use of this concept! Really cool to hear that you modified it for what you need, hope it serves you well!
Looks quality paracord. Ive been weaving for 10 years now, I use mainly Goldberg but might give this a try 👍
Man that color is so cool
That's a pretty sweet gadget you invented. I'm gonna attempt this sometime as it's very handy for that exact purpose. I carry a hipbag so seeing it used on yours proves it's worthiness for me👍
It looks like a soft shackle with extra steps
It's definitely similar to a soft shackle and I guess the extra steps are necessary for the added adjustable function
This is awesome, I just started learning more about paracord and I'll be making this. But here in Japan, we have these for sale at ¥100 shop like Daiso. Same concept and some parts like the buckle and carabiner but different design that uses nylon straps. Your design is way better though and more personalized.
Love it! how about "Gear ParaBiner"
don't need it down here in south floirda for carrying a jacket but i'm sure i can find a use for it somewhere. really like the new website, have purchased a number of things already and will continue to do so.
Haha, yeah the last thing you need in Florida is a jacket lol. But yes, it can definitely be repurposed to hold other things. One comment on here mentioned using it to carry a neck pillow when travelling, so you never know. Thanks for checking the website out and supporting the channel, I really appreciate it!
Combine this with ranger rolling your jacket, and you have a nice, compact way to store a jacket on your person.
1:10 it's for securing your jacket
Love your vids brother!
Thanks, glad you do!
00:43 i guessed it. Thumb nails and hints in intro.
0:40 paracord sweater/jacket holder
Cool project, thanks.
You're welcome, thanks for stopping by!
Thats nice work
Pretty neat. Thx. I live in the deep south. Almost never wear a jacket.
This is great! Reminds me of the steel washers tension system with paracord, but this is more aesthetically pleasing!
Oh, I think I've seen that one as well. I've been meaning to play around with that one. Thanks for checking it out!
Good thing it was simple!
Haha, yep!
I'm a 80s/90s kid, so most of the time, I just do the sleeves tied around the waist thing, but I still think this is cool as hell.
Seems handy
Great video, thank you
That is amazing!
I already have jacket holder things but it's nowhere as cool as this paracord one!
Do you think that diamond paracord stopper would work here instead of plastic one?
Where did you get that Marlin Spike? its not the one you sell. I've been looking for a solid knurled one like you're using 🙂
Hey that spike is from Obermetalworks, it's full titanium so it wasn't cheap and they're currently sold out. But you can check them out here obermetalworks.com/round-titanium
Jacket carrier 0:40
It’s a good idea overall. However, you can still just tie your jacket around your waist and if you carry it just dangling around it might get caught on stuff. At least you could have it as a back up to carry someone else’s jacket, especially if you have kids.
Haha yeah, just like we used to back in the 90's! I still do that from time to time as well. Although with some of my thicker shirt jackets, the sleeves aren't that easy to tie around the waist. It would definitely be great for carrying the kiddos' jackets!
Hello friend, nice work, is there any waterproof paracord rope, my bracelets stay wet?
🤗Hey Ol' friend. Hope your good, good. I think different ya know. I was thinking your making some kinda traction wrench. Then I figured a big assed key holder😊😅😂. Good for the woods.
A simple slip knot and caribeaner would also work
At 2:27 I guessed a coat hanger. Still had no idea what it was when finished until you previewed it for us. Nice.
Sorry for an off-topic question. What's the sling bag that you use in this video? Great idea with the paracord btw...love it.
Hey there no worries, that's the Aer City Sling 2. It's a great everyday carry bag. And thanks for the comment!
Your are making lanyard to carry a light coat or sweater. With out having to lug it around. Roll it up and hang from your belt loop for ready access when needed. Figured out right @ the 60-second mark.
Thanks for the video
You're welcome!
That is just fecking clever!
Thanks, glad you think so!
great design just in time for my citytrip to Istanbul
Thanks and have a great trip! Have fun seeing the city and all the cats haha
Great video! I suspected from the beginning this was for holding a jacket based on your hints about the weather. We’re experiencing a bit of a ‘False Fall’ in Atlanta at the moment, so this will come in handy!
Hope it does and that it serves you well, thanks for the comment!
0:23 decided I’m gonna make one because I need a jacket holder!!
Awesome, have fun and I hope it serves you well!
I'm gonna make one. So far? I have the torch. It could be a shacklet or a bracklet
Where I live… the last thing I need is a jacket holder… but dang it, need it or not, now I have to make one, because it’s just too cool!
Haha glad you like it! Hmmm.. so I'm guessing that means you live somewhere close to the equator?
@@TheWeaversofEternity Gulf Coast of Texas… where it’s always hot WAYYY longer than cold. We have four seasons… Summer, Hurricanes, Christmas, a few days of cold! 😁
2:21 a jacket holder. You sort of gave it away in your preamble🤔👍
Haha, I guess I shouldn't have yapped so much! lol
40 seconds lol but you did give it away with saying about the weather. nice idea also useful if big waist and cant tie the jacket sleeves after wrapping it around you
Its the G.O.A.T hanger.
I like that name!
I'm shocked.
Awesome.... Congrats for Idea...
Thanks, glad you think it's awesome! 😁
3:42 mitten/glove holder
Close enough! 😁
One time, a girl came into where I worked. She was Asian. She told me she just moved to the USA. I told her, her English was perfect. She told me she was from Canada. In my defense, I was very young at the time.
That's totally understandable! When I was an English teacher in Japan in my 20's we had a friend group and someone new joined, a female Asian also from Canada. My friend from Seattle assumed she was Japanese and commended her on her perfect English. Suffice it to say we all had good laugh when she told him she was Canadian hahaha
omg this would be a great way to bring around my motorcycle gloves
I'm sure it's for keeping my attention till the end of de vidéo :)
A very good idea, it will be perfect for a subway travel too
Cool stuff. I might very well try this out for my raincoat, which seems to take up all the space in my backpack. Here's some food for thought: old hats have a chinstrap. Could it be that one could invent sth similar for a baseball cap? Or for any type of hat? If you have the hat on your back it seems to put a smile on womens faces. Always wearing the hat seems a bit to much. But having it ready to use seems more laid back. And another #suggestion : a phonecase with a cord attached to it, so you wont drop your phone if you pick sth up, and your phone is in a breastpocket. This cord can remind people of the olden days when you had a clock with a golden chain in your vest. It might stop a pickpocket as well since you have tied your phone to some button. Anyways great upload thx!
Hey there, those are some great ideas! I don't see why something similar couldn't be made for a hat. As for the phone case, I've made a wrist lanyard that attaches to a phone case, but a longer version that prevents theft is an interesting idea as well. I'll have to play around with those ideas in my head. Thanks for mentioning all that!
Nice problem solving solution.
Thanks!
0:45 glove holder that attached to a bag. I have no idea lol. Looks awesome
haha, a garment holder of some sort is a close enough answer!
0:47 something to carry a jacket or hoodie with a shoulder strap
Haha that was quick, I guess I was a bit generous with the hints lol
Where did you get those scissors? I couldn't find them on the WOE Paracord Store.
Wait, why do you need the buckle and the pull to tighten thing? Can't you make it without the buckle?
Great question! You can definitely make this one without the buckle, but the reason I added it was to make placing the jacket into the sling a bit easier. I figured for slightly thicker garments, it might be tough to pull the garment through and it would be easier to just unclasp the buckle and then wrap it around to secure it.
@@TheWeaversofEternity makes sense!!
I just saw that you're down the road from Barrie, On. Do you allow for local pick up?
The paracord actually ships from North Carolina in the States as that's where my business partners are located so local pick isn't possible unfortunately, but thank you for you interest!
I'd call it a "The Jackel", The Jacket Shackel.
Love your channel. I really
enjoy the way you explain to tie the different knots. Also if you don't mind saying, what is your ethnicity?
Hey thanks! I'm glad I could be of service. Oh and I don't mind at all, I'm Chinese, but I was born in Canada and my parents are from Hong Kong. They came to Toronto in the late 70's
@@TheWeaversofEternity thanks for replying, I was just curious, my wife is from the Philippines.
5:02 I already know what it is, it’s used to hold your coat once you roll it up
Nice!
I dig it
Just what i needed! Iuse a similar one to carry my jacket or neck pillow while travelling, very practical!
Oh, I never thought of carrying a neck pillow with it. I guess it's more multipurpose than I thought haha
@@TheWeaversofEternity my travel pillow is a memory foam one, I used to squeeze it into my backpack but it expanded back and kinda got in the way... just buckling it outside the backpack is way better!
Hello
It's a nice video but I don't get this cool Stopper knot to work, is ther a better view of how to tie the knit please, maybe it's also becourse of my migraine. 🤔
Marry Christmas. 🖖
you probably have enough space to fold it in thirds or quarters for a more neat bundle too.
For sure, and that's the great thing about the adjustable part, it can accommodate thicker or thinner jackets or more neatly bundled up jackets as you say. Thanks for checking it out!
Jacket holder? That’s my guess
I was right😊 was it you that made one but pretty basic? If so that’s how I knew😂
Call it a Jackle - Jacket Shackle.
Good one!
I can use it to clip my pants to my backpack on those extra hot days when I just need to take a pantsless walk in the park. No more losing my favorite pants when running from those pesky moose-mounted Mounties. Thanks, TWoE!
You're welcome! Also make sure they don't sick their K-9 unit beavers on you either!
this gadget was great I figured it out soon as you talked about jackets and having to take them on and off, however, you're killing me by not at least tidying up your jack when you stick it in there.
I saw a commercial product like this on Reddit /EDC and looked it up, it was $40. I spent some time trying to figure out how to make it out of paracord and was lost. Thanks for this clever idea.
You're welcome! And yeah some of those paracord products out there are definitely a overpriced for a bit of paracord and some hardware, that's why I think it's best to just make your own sometimes haha
Jacket holder?
You need to sell this, thank you
I literally knew what it was right after you mentioned playing a game lol
haha nice! You're too quick!
Thought it was going to be a bottle holder! Well still might be huh.
J’ai acheté l’équivalent chez Dsptch dommage pour moins cher peux-être et plus compact surtout
nice :)
Thanks!
This looked like a cool, simple build, and it was! But, after I finished it and tried it out, I couldn't see any point in including the small buckle. There's plenty of adjustment available with the longer cord and the dog's nose. Treat it like an adjustable bracelet with really long working working ends. Maybe I'm missing something. (East coast Canuk)
I eliminated the buckle also on my second one
@@NickBarnes-o6e It is a bit easier to clip around a jacket than drag it though the loop, but I'm still happy with the basic one I made. Using it for ear guards now.
It’s a jacket bracket!
haha, I like that too!
I will admit that i didn't figure it out until the end. At first, I thought that it was a way to hold multiple types of clothing at once so that you could switch between them.
That's a close enough guess! 👍
After you talk about the weather. 1:30
Haha, I guess I was being too generous with the hints
Name of the last music?
Brew - Jobii
I was close-ish. I was thinking a water bottle holder.
It could probably be modified to be used as a water bottle holder for sure
