I grew up on Palm Beach and live on CPS, NY. For me, going to the breakers was like going to McDonald’s. Drive up, valet and have lunch on the beach. They do have the best lobster bisque I’ve ever eaten. I can say from experience though, that these scenes are far less diverse than presented. The most you’ll see of diversity, especially in Palm Beach, is across the intercostal on Clematis street, where the private college kids intermingle with the residents of the Lake Worth ghettos every weekend. That said, the wealthy tend to party between Wellington and The Island. The “locals” don’t really venture onto the island bc of dress codes and tighter security.

I also own a condo in Central Park South. I’ve frequented many of the aforementioned clubs in NYC. What I can say from experience, is that the number of “poc” present in these establishments is less than I can count on one hand at any given time - most are staff. The idea presented in this video, that the “tech scene” and “fashion” from the 2000s until now has been dominated by poc, and that these individuals are common in these scenes is a pipe dream at best. Of course you can always find a token here and there, but the serious brands aren’t affiliated, save a few “luxury brands” who’ve gone down hill over the last 10 years due to “DIE” mandates. Don’t be fooled. The life is not what’s presented in this video. At least from 2000 onward.
I never got the impression that this channel addresses POC. So far the content has been strictly white men, sprinkled with some women, but mostly the women are wives with less power.
If you don't like high school cliques or fraternities/sororities, you will hate those Old Money clubs, which have too many "rules" that outsiders consider lousy.

As a Yale grad I can confirm. It absolutely will. What used to be stomping grounds for the greatest minds are now saturated with the mentally ill and social outcasts with no real intellectual capacity to back up their inability to fit in with societal norms.

I've been in RAC and Groucho in London, and the Industral, Circle and Soho clubs in Amsterdam. Groucho was most exclusive. You needed to have excellent manners and an in-depth knowledge of English gentleman's values and customs and behave accordingly. But once you are accepted, it's all warm-hearted, generous and wonderful.
