    Airbus BIG Announcement New A390 & SHOCKS The Entire Industry! Here's Why
    As a formidable opponent of Boeing in the sky, Airbus has always proven its strength in the past decades by launching the most popular commercial aircraft models. It has been three years since Airbus stopped production of the A3 80, perhaps this is also the time that the European manufacturer should start planning for the next generation aircraft. There is information that it will be the A3 90, with its advanced design and outstanding capabilities, it will be the factor that could change air travel forever. So how will this plane do it? Will airlines operate them? Let’s find out in today’s episode!

    A390's design
    The long-haul aircraft promises unprecedented advances in fuel efficiency, passenger comfort and environmental sustainability. The A390 is designed to accommodate up to 450 passengers. And it is positioned as a direct competitor to two Boeing aircraft: Triple 7 and 7 8 7 Dreamliner. The A3 90 boasts a range of over 10,000 nautical miles, allowing airlines to operate long-haul flights with ease. This capability promises to be a game changer for airlines looking to expand their global reach without compromising efficiency.
    Airbus BIG Announcement New A390 & SHOCKS The Entire Industry! Here's Why
    The aircraft's advanced aerodynamics combined with the latest generation of high-speed turbofan engines ensure a significant reduction in fuel consumption. Airbus claims that the A3 90 will have a 25% improvement in fuel efficiency compared to its predecessors, making it one of the greenest aircraft in the skies. It is likely that Rolls-Royce UltraFan will be the engine chosen to supply fuel for this aircraft. This next-generation engine is designed to deliver significant improvements in fuel efficiency and environmental performance. It is expected to be 25% more fuel efficient than the first generation of Rolls-Royce Trent engines, making it a strong candidate for many future long-haul aircraft.

    Clickbait! There is no A390 in the works. Airbus already have a rival to 777x - it's called the A350.

    I don’t know. It is too soon since the A350 started their service. I will go with the A350Neo name and reserve the A360 for a groundbreaking technology BUT that is not totally convincing people. So, when people have totally confident in this new technology, you can use the A370, A390, and (prepare yourself) the A395.

    When the plane is using less fuel, there will be more planes, and the total consumption of fuel will increase.

      The amount of fuel, per mile or kilometer, per passenger is much more interesting.

      @elbuggo Місяць тому

      @@CrownRider When the fuel consumption per seat is decreased, you will increase used seats and will need more planes. And those planes will use more fuel than was used before the fuel improvement.
      Is it that hard to grasp this?

      Incorrect, more planes come about with more passengers, hence the original A380 (one aircraft instead of two) plus customers drive the aircraft demand on how they fly and where to.
      Airlines buy as less Aircraft as possible. They are hugely expensive. They only make a profit while in the air-not on the ground. Fuel is changing too, many new aircraft will be flying with fuel made from plants instead of oil. Its easy to be critical, without an answer or solution. Airlines and Engine manufacturers are spending billions on trying to go greener and still keep air fares within reach. All these advancements takes years or even decades, not weeks. Think of the emerging markets where there are no green requirements (China) Worry about their non green signature, its the largest!!!

    • @elbuggo
      @elbuggo Місяць тому

      @@johnchristmas7522 RE: many new aircraft will be flying with fuel made from plants
      That is a delusional pipe dream, and totally pointless. Without cheap fuel, there will be no mass flying.
      Again, if a new plane use less fuel, there will be more tickets sold due to lower costs, and they will need more planes.
      Total consumption will then increase, and more polar bears on the North Pole will drown. Isn't that so?.

    Absolutely stupid, A360 will come first not A390. Just because Airbus went straight to A380 and skipped out 3 aircraft doesn't mean they may as well go to A390

    While ultra long flights may be a goal in itself, these ultra long haul flights are rarely economical unless the airplane is configured with premium cabins only.
    Flying an airplane on an ultra long flight lasting 19-20 hours cannot be made economical, at least not today, if the airplane cabin layout is standard with 40-60 premium seats and the rest normal economy seats.
    The reason the ultra long haul flights can only be made economical with a fully premium seat cabin is fuel. For an ultra long haul flight, the airplane must be able to load much more fuel for the flight and that means a heavier airplane which again means a poor overall economy unless you can get the money in and earn a profit and that is only possible at the moment if the entire airplane cabin is configured with premium seats only.
