While the FAA and EASA have not approved the C919 yet, it does not stop the aviation authorities from other countries approving the C919. As more countries approve the C919, look for regional airlines in the approved airspace countries to buy the C919s for domestic use and some international use (between approved airspace countries) , and the Boeing and Airbus aircraft shifted to only fly to US and EU destinations. Boeing's weakness and screwups has literally created space for Comac to come in. Airbus has been ramping up production to cover, and the A220 from the Bombardier acquisition is also ramping up to help meet the demand. If the BRICS Clear Exchange system becomes a reality, look for commodities rich countries trading on the BRICS system to start making COMAC aircraft purchases via the Clear system.

This China just did with AIRBUS and BOEING it's for challenging of AIRBUS A320neo and BOEING 737 MAX'S challenge also, AIRBUS A350 and BOEING 777's challenge. So that's why China build the commercial plane by it self just like COMAC C919 and C939 as I know for challenging AIRBUS and BOEING. Boeing safety issue is a gift to COMAC. It literally opens the door for COMAC to come in. Don't need to compete very much because safety is the lifeblood of a commercial aircraft. Boeing is now in ICU. Another major factor is supply issues. For many years Boeing and Airbus dominated the commercial aircraft market. They got too complacent. Now they are plagued with declining quality control and failure to meet their orders. Another gift to COMAC. But to me the most important reason why COMAC will succeed is because it is able to offer a good and reliable product at a competitive price. Like it or not, this is attractive to most airlines. As to the often criticized government subsidy by the Chinese government and unfair competition, lets be honest about it. Most government subsidize industries that are of national interest to them, especially at the nascent stage. Without initial government subsidy Airbus would not had succeeded. Likewise too Boeing. The US now has its Chips and Science Act and the EU too has something similar to grow their tech industry...Diary products subsidy in the EU is another example. There is also another very important reason which will never be mentioned. Geo-politics. When the US n EU sanctioned Russia, they cut off all aircraft parts to Russia to destroy its aviation industry. The world took notice.....

Whats with the new RR ultra fan. What aircraft is that for, I heard it has a bigger fan.than the GE9X. Perhaps a stretched A350. Depending on one type of engine may be seen as a risk given A220 experience.

What did FAA and EASA do when 737-max(es) went down? What did they do when it was very well known that the Boeing spares and their replacement scheduling were not meeting the required quality standards? Yet knowingly, both FAA ad EASA let the Boeing 737-Max fly in the world skies. What happened to the crash of A340 from Brazil to France around 2010? and the famous MH370 featuring the flagship Boeing 777, disappearing without a trace a few years later? Whatever they did was AFTER the fact, and not any preventive measure to begin with. Air safety depends on how effective and proactive the engineering departments, engineering planners, engineering schedulers for repairs and replacements are. Chinese are not idiots...in fact they care MORE about humans than we think that we do. The Aerospace frontiers have been lost forever to Russia and China. Just wait another 20 years or so and you will see the graveyards of Boeings and Airbuses all over!

Oohh come one….I will be shocked hearing the B777X being certfied to be delivered to their customers. Can’t believe they are hitting problem after problem causing delay after delay. But I do understand that the FAA is very weary of letting them get away with a faulty aircraft again. The reputation of the FAA is at stake too!
