Although I've listened to metal since mid 90s, I never truly gave these guys a chance until this release. This shit slays, I'm particularly impressed by some of the lead work, the vocals are very consistent and spot on.
Revocation is a band that doesn't get a huge amount of hype but their consistency and insane quality inevitably brings more fans, welcome to the party 🤘
That part in Strange and Eternal...you know what I'm talkin about Holy fuck I'm halfway through the album and it's some of the best death metal I've ever heard. Thanks Dave and crew for providing this joy in my life again

Just had my first full listen though...Another stack of fucking slappers from Revo. The same ferocity, textures, and variety of riffage I've come to expect, and just like each proceeding album, outdoes itself in all the right ways. I've always said that Revocation is a musician's metal band and that has never been more true. Thank you, Sir Davidson and co. It's been a long 4 years.💪🏻🤘🏻

Also, wanna say rest easy to Trevor. For one of the last tracks to ever have his legendary vocals, it's one hell of a track.
Album absolutely rips. I have to say when Revocation started going in the direction of more death metal rather than the tech-thrash they started off as I was bummed but they've evolved it into such a sick style. One of their best albums imo

They're not just clean vocals. They're harmonized which reminds me a lot of Alice In Chains. It adds a lot of flavor to the songs. You can find some of their best instances of this technique on their album Great Is Our Sin.
Strange and Eternal is almost Chuck Schuldiner level. If great Chuck was to see the development in metal in the 21st century, he might as well have been putting off stuff like this. Well done guys!!!
One of the best to do it. Revocation are not only incredibly skilled individually, but they are also great song makers-something that I feel is often amiss in heavy music.
I love how Intervening Abyss turns into a Death song for a minute. Great album! Missing some of the longer melodic sections but they're still there so I'm happy.

What a nice surprise I was expecting another single before the album dropped I thought it was tomorrow thanks for the Sneak Peak definitely on repeat. Especially love the slower parts like Galleries of Morbid Artistry and the End of Godforsaken when the guitars start the solo is pretty amazing.
Three tracks in and I already knew this was going to be my metal AOTY. After listening to the whole thing, I can say this is my favorite Revo album to date.

Bruh bleed the future isnt even close to be as good as this. It's mediocre, repetitive and sometimes generic. It's like a cheap copy of relentless mutation, which is a really good album

Plus, Revo's thrashy roots probably hold them a little back from 'pushing the boundaries' - but the thrash adds to my enjoyment. We can still go back to Muhammed Suicmez (Necrophagist) and Jonas Bryssling (Spawn of Possession) to find "the best" in the genre - and Malcolm Pugh (Inferi), Phil Tougas (First Fragment, Equipoise), Nick Padovani (Equipoise, Virulent Depravity), and Tom Fountainhead (Obscura, Nyn) are leading the charge today imo. - when it comes to writing truly outrageous stuff.

Because Dave probably had about 50 guitar tracks all precisely aligned to get that thick sound.
They also play as a four-piece live with a killer stand-in guitarist, so "technically" not much has changed.
