No doubt the group has asked you to work in this direction, but all the productions look the same. The same trigged and replaced drum sound with Beat detective (or another tool), the same compression, lack of dynamism, lack of character and personality. So it's clean, sure. I know what a studio job is, the time spent, it's a real challenge. But I'm sorry to say that I don't like the current sound. I'm expecting aggressive responses, probably people will say "you just have to produce the album yourself". Don't make that effort, it's endless discussions. R,
@@klhtexier580 The compression is awesome,nice eq. between Drums and Bass,giving that feeling of full on beats, space and groove,the guitars sound a little far behind all the sound wall created,but i think is meant to sound like this, powerfull...
I saw Gaerea on Brutal Assault 2022 for the first time, I didn't even knew them before. I was stunned. This is what I was looking for so long.

Saw you guys at Brutal Assault anticipating black metal after the disappointment from elarning what happened to Uada, and despite the rain and cold this was hands down the best show not only at the Bastion stage, but the whole festival. For me you guys captured the essence of black metal perfectly, everything was spot on, the outfits, the stage presence, the bands tight playing, the audio quality. And the seemingly never-ending encore songs, my god... I was slowly headbanging with closed eyes and a huge smile being washed away by the beauty of your music!

This is, together with Revocation and Psycroptic, one of THE best releases this year, an absolute amazing, touching album.

@@bandenwesen ooof. I'd say yes. I didn't listen to As the Kingdom Drowns so much, for I'm honestly quite new to Psycroptic, I've listened through Kingdom a few times and it definitely has its bangers like Frozen Gaze, but it didn't move me as much as Divine Council tbh (i.e. Rend Asunder, This Shadowed World, and the second last song which name I forgot rn are sooooo fucking sick, so aggressive, energetic and in some way touching, honestly). I'd say I enjoyed Divine more than Kingdom

It is a masterpiece, probably one of the best album ov 2022.
Working 70 to 80 hour weeks leaves me constantly behind the musical curve. I'm always late to the party.
This is a very interesting offering. Clearly created from a love of creating, not some kind of ego posturing.
The thought that went into this is profound. Lots of compelling and powerful musical choices.
Being the old hand in my band, I fell into the unique role of production chief and riff wrangler.
Our most genius member is a shred lord who's into baby metal, groove and bendy things. The other guitarist is old school BM all day with a touch of Raised Fist thrown in. The drummer and I are all over the map from tech death, pop, bm, metal core, classic rock.
Blending different players into a focused, intelligent direction is really a job.
This band does exactly that, masterfully

I was trying to wait until my physical copy arrived to listen to this, but I couldn’t do it. I love how well the atmospheric portions and the heavier portions compliment each other, and the balance between the two, especially on the last track, is top notch
