If the game is dead it's because it's not really a free to play game given the way you have zero inventory unless you subscribe. That is finally what did me in after I decided not to re-up my sub. I quite playing a little while after because it is simply not feasible to receive any enjoyment without the crafting bag/inventory the sub gives. I don't know what the current state of GW2 is but you could easily max out a character or 2 there without having to buy a single thing or feeling like your inventory was screwed all the time. Also I don't remember exactly the time I was playing (meaning I don't remember whatever the stupid right wing hysteria was that I responded to in the area chat back then), but the mods are clearly permissive little fascist right wing trolls themselves. There's plenty of better games to play - ones that aren't designed to drain your wallet to be fun. *shrug*
for one thing, YES........ i LOVE everything herma mora so fucking HELL YES..... and also i would say as a more casual player who rarely does trials and usually keeps to myself, i have noticed in the guilds im in that for a while after necroms release, i will say that honestly i kept seeing RIDICULOUS numbers of the few hundred players each of the guilds im in has online at once even at night with me usually playing till like midnight to 1 to 2 am with rn its 2:40 am for me and im still playing so goodey me for keeping to a routine XD either way i will say that in one guild im in being the imperial gold reserve currently there is 6 people on and usually i only see like 30 to 50 at most on at once even in the middile of the day with my second being defintely a cult has 8 people on with imperial gold reserves mind you has 380 players and definatntely a cult has 491. honestly i do feel like a lot of people having been playing near as often but honestly when i think about it thats been the case since the update 35 debacle which for me was no issue because i never bothered to be the min maxing trial run type even if i do like to try to best optimize my rp builds i like to make but none the less, i feel like part of the issue with high isle is they over promised and delivered us basically nothing of substance with the one "NEW FEATURE" being tales of fucking tribute is something i literally only picked up the quest for for 10 minutes before abandoing it to free up quest log space even tho that isnt a issue because of how much i just COULD NOT get into that shie cause i dont play eso to play a different game all together..... i will say it does feel like the arcanist at least is something that at least has earned back some faith that they AT LEAST will give us updates of actual substance again and hell we could even start finally seeing cool things everyone has wanted like spears or unarmed or sword and magic skill lines or more world skill lines or guild skill lines or really just more content for us to acutally enjoy and that returns to some of the higher points in eso's lifetime that bring us back properly to really enjoy tamriel once again....
@@LostHorizons0 I really don’t care about the correct marketing lingo - because it is just that - irrelevant marketing. I compared ESO to Guild Wars 2 for a reason. The non-sub experience is trash and a con that leaves people unsatisfied. If more people have left he game - and I am one of them - the unsubbed experience is part of the reason why.
@@LostHorizons0 I'll take your triggered rage as a concession that the non-sub ESO paid experience is trash. I have 300+ games in my Steam library I'll leave ESO to the foaming-at-the mouth fanboy chuds like you.
They really need to add more in-game rewards that aren't recycled things. Mounts, pets, cosmetics, customizations and flare for your class (i.e. a new skin for a warden bear). Anything to keep you hooked. The game just became so templated and boring by the time Western Skyrim dropped. And it doesn't look like much has changed since!
For years, players have been asking for these things or for what IS available to be more accessible (either freely in game or cheaper to acquire with gold or now Endeavors). ZOS never listens. They won't. Too many people still buy the cosmetics with actual cash. ESO has so many good things going for it except when it comes to monetization. I watch videos like this hoping that something has changed so I can happily come back, but it seems I have to let ESO go for good and just wait for ES6 for a nice-looking, expansive, customizable, and well-polished entry into the Elder Scrolls universe.
They should take items from the old Crown Crates and put them into the drop rotation for vet dungeons and trials. I know, what a concept, right? Earning mounts, emotes, cosmetics and pets through in game activities rather than by getting your wallet out.
it seems as if i have unintentionally lied to you all about the stackable treasure maps..... i do recall vividly them mentioning that it was going to be added as a thing and my friend was talking about it to me the other day but APPARENTLY it doesn't exist....... i am sorry 😭😭😭
Thorough analysis, and I might add one more thought. I think Lost Depths and Firesong broke friend groups. Friends do a lot to keep other players playing. I definitely play less with friends now than before, and my friends invited me to do lots of stuff and made me want to play so I could keep up with them.
While i did play the ESO beta, I originally started playing around 2017 and really enjoyed it. But then i tried FFXIV and have been hooked ever since because the continuing story and well done scenes really held my attention a lot more. But i decided to jump back in with Necrom and really am enjoying myself. These two games really contrast each other in all the right ways and it is pretty neat bouncing between the two
I think I agree with most of your take as far as the quality of the ESO writing ("not great" is tactful, although "going downhill" might be more accurate), and I definitely enjoyed your dive into the player data. All in all, a very solid and pretty well-balanced presentation. Well done.
Arcanist is the strongest raw damage class in the game. Massive cleave and burst that pretty much every DD that signs up for raids wants to bring arcanist. It really was a sleeper release, the last couple pts cycles were useless and the class didn't have any changes after week 3/4. It came out and the endgamers realized that they were wrong thinking DK was better. I consistently do 10 - 15k dps over other really good players in most raids.
Arcanist strong? Maybe in PvE. It cannot even scatch me in PvP, i don't die even when i am stunned with that Arca stun. I wanted to play an Arca but after i saw this weak performance in Cyrodiil, i am gonna stay with my templar (if i do not quit Eso again).
Hey, It's Gerwulf! Great video and wonderful analysis. I've been playing ESO for five years. I took a break right before High Isle because I wasn't feeling it, but came back after the announcement for Necrom. I was excited for the new class and area, but after playing for a couple of weeks, I have decided to leave ESO for good. The recycling of characters and the bland story lines are the primary reasons. There hasn't been an awesome character reveal since Khamira in Elsweyr really. I left when the High Isle's prologue forced me to work though another "adventure" with Jakarn, so returning to Morrowind and the Telvanni were red flags for me, but I looked past those because of the new class. But, damn, the writing is tired and the quests are simply too formulaic to keep my interest. Still a visually lovely game and I have no problem with people who love the game and the new content, but it simply isn't for me and after another disappointment in such a short period of time, the relationship is over for me.
One more thought ... the performance of this chapter made me dial back on my excitement for Starfield. At the time of the reveal, I was super excited with everything I saw, but as Necrom fell flat for me, I began to worry that the planets and such we saw in the Starfield release would simply be as repetitive as the questing in ESO.
totally agree about the jakarn thing!!! haha jakarn hate club ftw. but yeah ESO is such a pretty game visually, the music is so amazing too. i really do love the atmosphere and the character customization, etc. obviously love me PVE content too, but the stories just do not do it for me. i am also not excited for starfield whatsoever, i mean im not really into space/sci fi stuff, but i know better to not believe his lies.
I do agree with you that there is something off with the writing on ESO. One thing I notice about almost all quests is that the NPC will tell you what needs to be done and after you agree to do their quest they will repeat a summary of what they want done again. I've always found this repetitiveness annoying and it makes the conversations feel very scripted rather then organic. As for the population of the game. My guilds all seem to have a little less people on lately (I often tele to different guild members to get around Tamriel and noticed it's not as easy lately --curse walking damn it). I think part of that might be due to Diablo IV coming out recently and everyone moving to that game.
I switched to SWTOR a while ago to take a break from ESO and I haven't been back yet. I love the companion relationships and romances in SWTOR, something I think ESO could benefit from. I also love that my PC is voiced, well until recently that is lol. Still the only thing I was even remotely excited for with Necrom was the chance at running into Naryu again to discuss what happened in Summerset. I play games mostly for the story and companions. I just don't find repeatedly running dolems and dungeons all that fun, and I hate PVP. It gets boring after a while for me personally. I'll pick ESO up again eventually when I get burnt out on SWTOR. Until then I'm actually loving bouncing between it and Divinity Original Sin 2 ATM.
For the first time since finding the patience to do antiquities, I’m actually enjoying the game (I play PC-EU). I don’t want to get too attached to Arcanist in fears of a nerf (it’s so strong!) The only thing honestly keeping me around are growth in DPS and I adore Sharp-as-Night as a character and trying to max him out. Weird reason to play, but yeah. 😂 I’m sad about the state of it all because I enjoy ESO, but another comment on here is right… we only get crumbs and crown store items. I shouldn’t have to spend money on the store to entertain myself, nor should it be considered the thing to look forward to (it should be the game itself before anything else). Bah.
Arcanist is incredibally weak in any content that matters. They only do well in overworld and on target dummies. One stun and your damage tanks, cant dodge while channeling damage tanks, cant beam in pvp so u have no burst. They would be stupid to nerf it. It needs buffs
Fair points, nice video:) I did not do the research myself but my experience is(on PC EU) since the hardware change and the last 2 updates we've had its been more active and alive all around.
I've been an ESO player since beta and yes, I even carried a sub to it back in the day when subs were required. I bought Necrom when the pre-order was made available but it has not been able to rekindle my enthusiasm for ESO... I created an Arcanist but have not spent any time playing/leveling it (level 2 ftw!)... My personal playing time in ESO has dropped 95% over the past 60 days. Between the lack of communication about things like the Crown Crate gifting "bug", ZOS trying to force everyone to PvP, putting polymorphs behind US $65 paywalls, etc., I have lost my desire to play this game. ESO used to be my primary game where I had 2 PC accounts, both with Plus subs, and an XBox account also with a Plus sub. I'm down to one PC Plus sub now and when it expires, I will not be renewing it. Even though I had never played any of the Diablo games before, I am now happily playing D4, have already pre-ordered Baldur's Gate 3, and have even gone back to playing Guild Wars 2. I've totally soured on ESO and will only log on to check in with some friends I've made there, not to play and certainly not to spend any money. Best of luck to those of you still enjoying the game!
You'd really need to see the steam numbers as well as the other platforms to decide if there are more or less. If there are more people playing there are more instances and people could be in lower pop ones
I agree with the expansion stories not being great. There are base game stories that are so much better. I always liked the deshaan storyline. Son turns against almalexia, almalexia kills son, and mother swears revenge. There’s no real good guys, knowing how the tribunal rule over their people.
That's always subjective. Deshaan isn't one my favourites. I like it, don't get me wrong, but I prefer other zones. I have heard some players not liking High Isle because it's not exciting enough, whilst others enjoy it because they wanted a change from fighting Daedric princes. People have different perspectives on everything. Elsweyr is probably my favourite part of the game. Each to their own.
One HUGE thing that drives me crazy is the Arcanist class and floating crux triangles. Why in the absolute hell did they not just make it like the nightblade skill Merciless Resolve where it shows a number next to the amount you have built up? Just put that number on every skill that generates crux which would be on the skill bar already. Why is this so hard?
The simple reality is that ESO doesn't evolve. It's crazy how people are excited about ONE new class after literal years without one, no new weapon types, no magic overhaul, nothing. Other MMOs add new classes every single expansion, or expand current classes to always stay fresh. ESO just gets a free pass because its fanbase pretends it's slightly better skyrim instead of comparing it to its major competitors who are all doing a better job. I've legit never seen another game in this genre generate hype by never innovating lmao.
Because we are the generation of "they don't update the game 3000 times with 200000 character? Im soo bored uff uff" Okay i know that ESO is an exception, but overall this way of think is diffused.
because at its core and other gameplay ESO plays better than its competitors. I will never play tab target and click and wait games. ESO is fast, has enourmous lore and quests, has open world pvp, and has everything in the world you'd want in a game. Sure it has problems, but I play other games and just say "man I wish it had "x" from ESO
This is the 3rd day of the chapter being out on Xbox, there are so many players that servers feel like the old pvp servers. I've been enjoying it though.
I picked up ESO before Blackwood got released but quit before it did, I just came back to it recently to just mess around in I definetly encounter less players, hell nowdays at certain times it's even hard to find a dungeon group with the finder or without, or same goes for battlegrounds with like the exact same handful of players playing it. most overworld areas outside of hotspots are also fairly empty, I remember i had to race people to harvest flowers back then.
Great video and subbed. This is a really thorough examination of both the game and your own experience here which I really enjoyed. I like the new class and expansion in general. Bastion Nymics are my favourite part so far but I still feel like overland as a whole is too easy and it effects how long new players stay. This also effects the overall perception of the game, overland is so important in MMOs(new players, content creators reviewing the game). With the popularity of games like classic wow and osrs where the levelling experience is very good, levelling and overland is being scrutinised in every MMO right now, not just ESO. The game is getting a bad reputation compared to MMOs that it competes with in many aspects. I agree with a lot of your points here, even about how we are perceived in dialogue. Because the game can actually detect your class/race and even curse and put it into dialogue but its squandered which is what most of the game can feel like sometimes...wasted potential. But I love the game still its my favourite MMO out of the bunch.
Your funny! Haven't played ESO in a year or so. Went back on recently and I didn't understand what had happened. Don't think I'll play again but I'm for sure subbing to your channel.
I went through the story and expansion on an Arcanist and got the lizard companion. That was three weeks ago, and I just haven't felt like grinding things out more. I'll probably come back when I get bored, for a while.
ESO is not an MMO, it's an RPG with multiplayer elements. And when you compare it to that sandard, it pales in comparison to any other RPG, even the cool voice acting, which is AMAZING for an MMO to have, it is mediocre at best when compared to RPGs. The only players that will end up sticking around after finishing all the quests are those that enjoy the multiplayer elements which the game isn't primarily focused on. This is an extreme niche of players and the fact those MP elements aren't the #1 focus of development makes that niche that much smaller.
Oh hai, a content creator not sponsored by ZoS to produce content for Necrom launch being real about the state of the game. I was just getting back into the game after launch... and getting into vet trials when update 35 nerfed me, and that update and several others after kept nerfing Necromancer making it less fun to play. Was hyped for Necrom and Arcanist- though 2 weeks in ZoS has already changed a core mechanic of the class making it play worse, they have also not acknowledged the casting issues from channeled abilities(or not being able to cast skills) it doesn't matter in most content, but it cost a record run in Maelstrom arena, and kept me from using skills mid-trial on a couple occasions. It's very frustrating to play the game at a "high" level. For context, I grinded out all the skill lines and put in 100+ hours of play time on the class in the first week... once I learned to play it, was the most fun I have had on a class. Though disappointed with ZoS's response to the launch issues and post launch nerf of my new toy... Will still play ESO, but it's no longer going to be my main game... and will largely stick around for the friends I've made.
Great video. Even though these types of videos titled “is ESO dying” or “eso is dead” have been made every year, I don’t believe it is, and even if the player base was less, it’s still more than enough to enjoy seeing how good the game is. I have played WoW, GW2, BDO, and many more MMOs for many many years, and ESO is by far the best for many reasons. Despite the player base (which is very big regardless), we shouldn’t judge a game as dying just because the player base is less than many years ago when there were less big titles. The world of eso, the detail, the dialogue even on the worst DLC’s is still far better than any other MMO on the market. The PvP, the world of Tamriel, the gearing and character progression , and community is also better than a lot of MMOs out there. ESO will always have a large player base, and will always be popular. Due to how long it has been out and the devs reputation, and all the steamers etc of course only want to steam the best stuff, yes it might not seem as popular, I’m on PC EU, and everywhere I go there are players, and queues are very very fast for BGS and dungeons. Yes they could improve on some stuff, but for a casual MMO player, this is the best on the market. Love your video and I’ve subbed!
I didn't start playing ESO until they launched the option to not subscribe. Because I simply refuse to subscribe to a game. Call me old fashioned, but I don't want to pay for something (a game especially) more than once. Also, I'm primarily a single player. Which ESO actually allows for the most part. You just have to mind your build and beef yourself up before taking on group bosses and trials. And I don't mind grinding so long as it yields results. I think the original storyline and Morrowind was the only content available back then. I had a lot of fun with that. Still play ESO every now and then, actually. And I've been bying add-ons as I go. Elsweyr was a blast. It's very much so not a "dead" game for me. But it is also, if I am to be honest, just something to tide me over until the next big single player RPG epic in the Elder Scrolls series comes out.
Personally I think the Arcanist vibes really well as a more casual-focused class, which is a little disappointing for endgame players who were looking for something more intensive and effective like DK, but brings a little extra dimension to the class. I've been having a ton of fun running around with a mate blasting things with the l a z o r, but trying to figure out a more serious DPS build and parsing with it has been a bit of a challenge. So, I'm not bothering. My Arcanist is my casual run around and blast shit character, and for that he's an absolute treat to play. As for how each role ties into this casual-focused idea (imo), for DPS, where other classes have all these puzzle pieces that you have to put together in order to achieve something even close to good DPS, the Arcanist gives you half the puzzle already pretty much solved with the very simple and easy to understand and execute combo of generate 3 crux, then beam, generate 3 crux, then beam, etc. For Tanking, with the unique class taunt and access to minor brittle, it gives tanks options to experiment with weapon loadouts outside of Sword & Board + Ice Staff. Obviously that combination is still probably ideal in most cases, but it lets you have a little more fun and creativity in your build for content where you don't need to be optimized. For Healing... I'm not really sure, I haven't played around with it much. I guess you have the same sorta thing with the 3 crux then beam thing? And Minor Courage as a class buff is nice? It'd probably fit the identity better if they had a class source of Minor Berserk for allies (unless they do and i'm small-brain, idk).
I mean in terms of DPS, it's really not that different when we talk high end DPS like 120k+ Sure, beam makes up roughly half the damage, but generate 3 crux and just do beam is exactly that, half the damage. You still have to put up your buffs and DOTs and manage them while respecting the duration of the beam. All other classes are basically: spammable, dots, spammable, dots, etc. and Arcanist is really not that different. Only difference is convenience, 3 crux then beam is easy and will give you okay damage, its low effort good reward, while proper rotation is same as other classes, high effort high reward.
@@Valor1610 Yeah, that's exactly it. As a newer or more casual player, keeping up with a full rotation can be tricky, and it can be hard to tell at a glance which skills are the best ones to use, whereas the Arcanist crux generation with the beam is very intuitive. The ceiling is in about the same place as other classes, but the floor is much higher.
One of the things I love about the Arcanist is the cost mechanic of some of their skills, it costs from the higher of your magicka or stamina, they should/need to work on doing this for all the other classes, it would create more freedom in builds and skill utilization, it would help simplify things in a way that would encourage new players to get into the game too. Launching Necrom along side D4 releasing is a big issue that dropped numbers, the Cyrodiil campaign extension made quite a few players mad too. Should have ended it with a short campaign and started the new campaign with the new month.
I love my new arcanist! I just hope they don't nerf it into oblivion. That being said, I just play ESO because I am starving for Elder Scrolls content while waiting for ES6. I actually prefer single player games. I still play Skyrim now and then. It is my favorite game of all time. I think if ESO would introduce some new mechanics into the game it would help. I for one would love to see gardening in the game. Being able to harvest my own little alchemy garden or fruit orchard would give some reason to have player housing. Having a home is great but what can you really do there other than decorate for endless hours. I quickly get bored with that. Being able to quickly run home and harvest my garden would be welcome though. Having new activities available is the answer, I think. Maybe actually having a use for all those trophy fish other than just selling them. How about having aquariums for your home you can actually stock or being able to stock a pond at your home with fish? Also why does ESO have cows, chickens etc. in the game when there is no milk or eggs or a use for these items for provisioning? I never understood that. I want to have a cow and some chickens at my home that produce such items. Just some of my thoughts. ( Herma Mora is cool but I don't like calamari-lol )
yeah i think a lot of people who play ESO just play it because they are waiting for TES:6. it definitely is overdue for some major overhauls. and totally agree about the housing thing! if they made it similar to hearthfire (you could have npcs you return to at home, not necessarily family, you can interact with them, grow gardens, etc) it would be way more interesting. i love housing myself but once i finish a house i never really go back
I'm sorry for my pesimistic attitude but I think that ESO is going to shut down next year or the year after that if they don't change from a children's game to a true MMO. The story, story bosses and the overland difficulty doesn't exist, the armory system should be deleted because it destroyed the replayability of the game and the companions feature is not a feature for a MMORPG, the companions feature is a single player RPG feature. If they change this things I bet all the old players will come back and will bring new players with them. Just saying. Btw I gave up the game 2 years ago and I will not come back until they implement at least some of the changes I mentioned the difficulty being the most important change.
While it probably doesn't change the overall gist too much, I really wouldn't take MMO Populations as anything even somewhat close to reliable. As the site itself says (under "History", 10:03 ), it's more a metric of how much attention a thing gets on Reddit. Which is a very different thing from people playing a game. So we can probably say that 2021 was very successful for ESO on Reddit, and maybe that coincided with higher player numbers in general, but we can't be certain. I also have no idea whether they changed their multiplier ("magic number") over time, so we don't even know whether certain years are comparable to others at all. So for measuring hype - you can probably get something from it. For a deeper analysis of player count, I'd be very cautious.
@@Azuraaaaaaaaa love that! I’m glad you found your home here in beautiful New Zealand. So from this day onward, I here by declare you a Kiwi, you may renounce your US bonds effective immediately 🤣
Very insightful! So far I've been pretty disappointed by the way things have been going in ESO. Mostly the nerfing has been really a discouragement. I'm praying that they really do listen to the community and fix stuff later in the year.
My biggest thing is that ESO did not need to play so damn safe with the year in total. This is it. This is the only expansion we get. And with Diablo 4 coming out, plus you'll have some other banger single player games, it's not looking good. I was surprised at the positive responses when they announced how they would be reducing the amount of content this year so that next year would be potentially better. Basically, this could have been a great one, but they have a lot of factors going against them right now and their communication style hasn't helped at all. I predict a steady drop-off for the rest of the year, with a tiny week-long bump in Q4 Update. Next year makes or breaks this game, period
completely agree! you can tell that there was a lot of time put into *some* areas of the expansion, but being a dungeon appreciator myself, i am so sad we aren't getting our two other dungeons for Q3. :(
I mean, they got burnt last year with the card game they were advertising and the backlash to U35, so that's wny they might be playing safe now. But on the other hand, if they release anything exciting as a gear set or mythic, people may accuse them of P2W, but now that they tried not to go that route with the new expansion, people say it's "unremarkable". Eh. Not saying the game is perfect, it isn't, but that part seemed weird to me.
@@ХристоМартунковграфЛозенски Yeah. It's always the vocal minority or the dramatic content creators who ruin things before they can change the game and push it further forward. For the rest of us, we get the same flavor in a different color
I was super excited for this chapter because I loved going to Apocrypha in Skyrim. Hermaeus Mora, my beloved. But afte completing the main story I realized how litter there was to do outside of exploring the new zones, leveling an Arcanist and doing Bastion Nymics. I quickly found myself falling back into the same routine from before the expansion and got bored in a few days. I adore this game but man it is getting stagnant with how little innovation there has been over the years.
I only got the new dlc to help my wife make her arc and to do the quest. The devs have blatantly ignored everyone when we asked for game performance fixes and other NON gear and skill related issues to be fixed. This has made me look to other games that actually listen to their paychecks/us.
There's a lot of new games out now so it's diluted the player base a little. I, for one, LOVE this expansion. I'm enjoying this expansion A LOT better than the last couple. My play time had dropped off quite a bit because of those chapters. Now I'm getting back into it hard again. This is kind of chapter ESO had needed for way too long. It may be too late for some, though.
I think because of the lackluster few chapters, this one seems better, but in all honesty it's just ok. But being just ok is a ton better than what we got previously, so it's a illusion.
I think the new class is great. Problem or Positive it continues to make ESO so easy. I remember the days when great players had true skill, the game continues to dumb down the game. All I see running around are 1 bar builds and now the green machines clearing content in 5 minutes. Fun to play around with for awhile, but I miss the challenge of the game.
Agree with your video, and it's a great take. I always imagine the zone population if ZOS actually gave players incentive to actually play in them (looking at you pointless quests with abhorrent rewards)...and just better rewards to ACTUALLY PLAY the game instead of locking the majority in the Crown Store, which I understand is the biggest income source for ZoS but it also seems to be the biggest downfall and ultimately....it's doom. Just my opinion. - ESO Player since 2015
Love the video. I was a PVP player from release and quit in January because the game is going away from PVP. I don't see me coming back at this time. I don't see anything in what they are listing as features in the game as being geared toward the PVP community. Maybe if they decide to do a PVP centered DLC at some point, but that's doubtful considering more money is made from the PVE crowd.
I like the Arcanist dps. There are videos out that show a super tanky pvp build that just destroys groups of players, so looking forward to that. The Nerf-hammer is getting old and maybe part of why the numbers are suppressed as time goes on. It seems they Nerf whatever the players REALLY like. Plaguebreak and Heavy attack on this latest release for example. It kinda sucks to see something you truly enjoy become something that is lame. BTW, recently discovered your videos and enjoy them, thanks for the hard work (Between barbeque binges, that is ; D)
they nerfed the night blade and made this dog shit that is just another night blade with pretty colors to get you to pay to win fuck eso and their dog shit
Noticed that they kill off whatever sets most of the players have equipped 90% of the time. I stopped trying to follow the meme sets in favor of being able to make my gear gold and use it for more than a week before the nerf hammer. However, this too has failed. Even noticing that there was NO VIDEOS about the sets I was using or conversations among the player base or on zone chat.. All this accomplished was ESO turning off my armor "benefits" and ONLY left me with the penalties. So as a mage I was naturally devastated being forced to relegate to med and heavy armor. Or try my best to offset the penalties with good 5pc sets, it's been over 3 years and the effect is still there. DO NOT GO AGAINST THE GRAIN. You MUST grind out whatever meme set is current.
@@atmossanguine9468 yes that's what they have done for 10 yrs the problem is they don't have class armor like wow and they just use eso as a tax write off Microsoft owns all the games at this point and they deliberately make this one non profitable so that they can write off the profits from wow most woke retard gamers that play eso can't figure that out
new to this channel. Very informative video. Consider for the future, making your charts in a dark mode/not a blasting white background. There was nothing on the screen except blinding white graphs for 6+ mins. my brain hurts lol
I aesthetically like Arcanist. I think the animations for the Arcanist abilities are nice, with the book, the tentacles and beam. How it works I think brings it closer towards other mechanics from other MMOs. I do have a love hate relationship with the combat always with ESO. I know people from OCE can perform well in DPS with practise. But it's not really fun to figure out frames and things. I came back for Necrom for the places it offered to take me, as for most people I really liked Apocrypha in Skyrim. But I feel the story made it feel like Mora was utterly imcompetent, the complete masses of "beach" which I understand is needed but I wish there was less of it, as opposed to having more if an infinite library aesthetic killed it for me a little. I quit some time around Greymoor and so I'm probably a bit late to all the "new" lore. But some of the new developments in terms of cosmic and deities makes me a little.... hmm. I like the idea of them but not really sure what it brings to the table.
I love the card game. I was hoping for spell crafting this year. I have been playing since launch. I love the game. I think necrom is great but still a lot of hate in their Instagram. Also, the game is easy and too much stuff in the crates. I’m ok with paying for things but I won’t buy crates. And yes it bothers me that the “adventurer” is an absolute slug living under a rock. They still have changes to make in this game. I still love it just some things I’d change.
My wife and I quit after 35. I mainly tanked but that block bug did it for me. It didn’t help that the Devs responses were pretty much whateves here’s a Ducky from Land before Time.
oh man the block bug killed me too, it pissed me off so much. and then they fixed it and a couple patches later it broke again! and yeah it's a little bit infuriating that they thing everything will be fine by just giving us a little pet for free. they need to take some responsibility
I've been playing since 2014 and I love the new class so far. I also enjoy the skills and animation. Feels like the class has proper class identity. But really don't care for the new zone. It's poorly designed if you compare it to Summerset. Also hate a lot of storylines for these chapter, it's too templated. Bring back Orsinium era.
When they ignored the pvp community over the past 4 yes they fkd the game - end game was pvp as running dungeons and trials eventually just gets boring. And cast times on ults (whenever that was) to “lower the skill floor” just made the game terrible 😢
I haven’t logged in since I completed necrom. Nothing with the new class, Chapter or rewards wants me to log back in to play unfortunately. I would do pvp but still tank meta with nerf to stealth so yeah rather just not. Keep up the great videos tho!!!
Hmmm. Great video. I agree that the Steam Charts show a small increase in players but far far below what you'd expect from a major expansion. I thought that Necrom was definitely an improvement on High Isle. To be fair, I don't think they could have made it something worse. The problem is Necrom is only a very small step in the right direction after a year of catastrophes (Brokensoul wrecking PvP, Patch 35, Patch 36 etc). Overall the game is still in a worse state than it was before High Isle and even more so with the PvP content creators abandoning the game en masse. ZOS still have a lot of rebuilding to do before the game gets back to where is was at the start of 2022.
You summed up everything I can’t stand about ESO writing/questing in this video: the complete and utter lack of thoughtful and or insightful dialogue choices for the player. As you said “the dumbest character in the game” perfectly sums it up. As if the amnesia they were afflicted with made them forget all lore knowledge but certainly not how to murder hobo effectively. The amnesia explanation never sat right with me; it betrays the writers inability or lack of desire to write proper dialogue choices for the player.
A couple things that could be done to draw players back to ESO, I know hugely unpopular but..., bring out new PvP content, bring out new PvEvP content (competitive PvE with a PvP element to it would be fun), bring out new weapons such as Poison Staff, Disease Staff, One hand and Spell, Spear and shield (or Pole Arm, javelin and shield). Adding a mechanic (ex. Spellcrafting) that allows you to alter class skills ie; damage type (Ice damage DK, Fire Damage Sorc, etc) make class skills synergize with other class skills by using both skills together increases damage, changes a function of one of the skills in question. Ideas off the top of my head.... I'll leave you with my last off the top of my head ideas, make your weapon type determine the type of damage each skill does, unless it has a heal mechanic and certain damage type is required for the heal mechanic to work...
They also should add in ESO is that you can change your class on your char just like ff14 because needing to do everything over on a new char because you want to play a new class is really annoying
Eso pvp had potential because the action combat movement and ani canceling was fun and engaging. But the balance of pvp is horrendous. It doesn't make sense to play anything other than tank in pvp. It's very easy to build to tank 50+ people and never die. The games defense meta is horrifying and it makes me wonder why they do battle spirit.
FYI about reading steamcharts: it does not show average daily players anywhere, only the peak concurrent players per day. Those are two very different things and should never be compared to each other.
For me the reason I didn't but this update is the fact they put money before all the fixes they promised so I am waiting to see if those fixes ever come for performance and stability in the game. Also, at the same time Necron was just to finish Morrowwind which should never happen if they release an expansion for a region should include the whole region, also the pricing was off also for what little you get in the region i was even on PTS and was like x amount for this no i can see that amount if they did all of Morrowwind in one go but not that little.
Just an observation from multiple MMOs I've been in. As the games expand... and add more areas... even if the # of players doesn't change, as the game expands the density of the player base in a given place reduces. This has the effect of making the game feel empty, and can also lead to departure.
Plus, hasn't it been demonstrated that they reduce the number of people allowed per instance for the first few weeks in a new expansion to not overwhelm anyone's system?
Not to mention in most mmos once a new zone comes out there is actually zero reason to do anything outside of that new zone or zones. The way ESO works even after a new area comes out the whole world still feels pretty alive. Especially on Xbox which has ESO on game pass, there is a constant influx of brand new players to the game on Xbox and the world is full of people.
I am actually really enjoying new class! My Stam Arc is melting everything with his beam! To level him up was so much fun! All the people using tentacles no Jutsu on this poor zombies in cold harbor! New zone is also amazing: loving the atmosphere and content like bastion nymic!
I was told to do magic over stamina but at the same time I like to make my own characters for example they say put all points into stamina or magical I put 30 in stamina 30 in magic 4 in health lol my own character
Having played ESO since beta I can safely say the game is agonizing and has been for a while now. Your video only proves my point in several ways especially when it comes to their main focus on Crown Crates and the Store with the rest being secondary to none. It's killing the rest of the game and very quickly, especially in terms of storyline, repeated formula in their questing and the shape DLCs/expansions are released. Zenimax's lack of creativity and greed is def a growing problem that they more than likely might not be able to stop in it's current state and mindset on how to keep building on this game/universe. One can only hope though.
As someone who basically skipped High Isle but came back right before Necrom, a lot of this makes sense. I started with Greymoor, and really enjoyed Blackwood. Having brought someone in to the game as well, still frustrating to have so many "yeeeeeaaaahhhhh that's just how the game is...." to cover.
I would like to see some more with classes then combat only, like a necromancer can talk with death or can go to the realm of death to get something special done, or a rogue can get to a place without noticing where other classes cant go. That does make the class more unique and people will faster go play other classes also
For the money, one could easily go get a new game. ESO is purely a lipstick on a pig cash grab at this point, which is what I said last year... and the year before that...
Even with the new character I’m ready to quit…been playing since it released…between the long q times for dungeons and the extreamly toxic community…Diablo 4 is looking better and better
The reason I haven't bought Necrom yet is because I always buy the chapters just before the chapter related event which is usually at the end of September and the chapter has a third knocked of its price. However, this is mainly because the evenings are so short in June (if you're in the northern hemisphere) that I'd hardly have time to play the game. The evenings are much longer in September or October when it gets dark earlier. Necrom sounds quite good so I'm looking forward to exploring the lands and trying out the Arcanist class. But it was the nerf to the velothi ur-mage amulet and the lacklustre sets which made me absolutely *not* buy Necrom on release.
Definitely it's Diablo 4 and other games like final fantasy 16. Necrom is really good it has everything I wanted good storyline and more challenging zone. Trust me it will be worse once starfield comes and it will stay the same.
I agree with pretty much everything except the views on the new class. As a DPS I think the new class feels great to play. It feels more relaxed to play similar to a one bar sorc heavy attack build. It’s not extremely challenging but still fun. The visuals and audio on my set up I think look and sound great. I play on Xbox NA. I can see the potential for a tank or healer with the class but I haven’t done that yet. Otherwise though there isn’t much to draw people in deeper to this chapter. The mythics are disappointing for sure. I haven’t been into the story writing in a long time lol. Great video! 😃
Love the new release and the arcanist. But something HAS to be done about the annual eso events! I'm honestly no longer excited at all about any of esos events! I remember when I used to be excited for them, then kind of excited, and now it's like whatever... if there's something I like on the empresario then I'll get the tickets for that but otherwise... events are nothing to me. I've done them too much with nothing substantially changed about them....
I haven't seen another player in apocrypha for like 2 days some in zone chat said its the release of Diablo 4. I was astonished how low the player base was in the new zones.
ESO evolves through expansion rather than escalation. There will always be more with each chapter but not necessarily in terms of power. Those that need ongoing power escalation to enjoy a game are ultimately doomed to disappointment with ESO sooner or later. It it is more for those that what an increasing breadth of things to do where each newly added element is retained and expanded on with each chapter that comes out.
I love the arcanist it’s single handedly saved the game for me. I feel like I can actually play as my class for once. Also god it sure felt like there was a lot more week 1 of necrom. seeing bleakrock isle ACTUALLY populated was awesome
...inb4 they nerve the class to oblivion like they always do. They already technically started the nerfing with the crux expiring after 30 seconds in the name of visual disturbances.
@@terminalvelocity4858 Don't really matter to me tbh. I doubt they'd nerf it to the point of being unusable, but regardless I'd still use it. I like how it's main gameplay loop is completely different from all the other classes and that's all I need, even if the dps is shit. But it probably won't get nerfed hopefully. Especially since in vet trials and such content it's dps is actually pretty average compared to others.
how does the graphs and statistics for player counts coincides with releases of other games? and how might this competition for market space make it seem as if the player base is dying when it might just be lesser fluctuations? as for the necrom dlc we know that it competes with the Diablo 4 release and necrom has not really been advertized as much as diablo has and that would be an important variable? either way i look forward to see how this DLC perform as i just could not bring my self to play high isle. love the video
I'm glad someone mentioned the monetezation of ESO. i STILL cant get over the fact that Orsinium is still the best DLC bc it had chapter like content in it yet it wasnt sold as a mandatory $40 purchase on top of the ESO plus. Also if you play for any amount of time you pretty much need the membership or else its a heavy inconvience playing without. Good luck crafting at all. Also i find it interesting that noone mentions the loot boxes or "crown crates" in this game. I played from June 2014 up until Elsweyr which ofc they released a chapter and the other half of the chapter was in a dlc later in the year. I 100% Northern Elsweyr and moved onto other games because i had enough. I really enjoyed playing this game in the past. Summerset was amazing and i really enjoyed all i played before then. The game launched to some pretty poor reviews but i knew it was a game i wanted to play so i hopped in regardless. Sad to see the way they have attempted to make money which seems just downright lazy.
@@flintcalissnot true each season will be 3 months apart and also add new end game activities each one not just diablo 3 style ones. Now burn out will happen soon or later but as of now diablo is way better then doing the same static dungeons trials playing 15$ a month. Diablos build freedom and other activities then pre-set content that will be the same for a year aside a small dlc drops
Definitely took me away 10$ every 3 months for a battle pass good rewards enable from pvp and activities that aren't all crown store vs 15$ a month eso I got good friends on it the only reason I even log on but won't be subbing or getting necrom
Havent played since launch days so ive missed alot but picked up the Necrom Deluxe version so im excited to jump back in with so much content on the ps5
Esos player base is afraid of power creep, when power creep is the very thing that makes people want to keep playing. Why do I play a new FFXIV expac? So I can get even stronger. I try eso now and then and get bored because the gear I had years ago is still great. Power creep is. GOOD thing unless you're playing something like Fortnite. Why keep pushing in d4? To get stronger. They have to introduce sets that are substantially better and quit calling more power in expacs p2w. They walked themselves in a corner with this.
First time i didn’t get the expansion, first time not getting the collectors edition, first time I haven’t even been tempted to reinstall the game, save I miss some of the people I played with.
I’m a week into returning to ESO on Xbox series X since the pandemic lockdown of 2020. It’s kind of conflicting because I talked to many people who said they just returned after a long time, like me. But then again I remember Elsewyer HOPPING with people similar to alik’r desert anchors but only bigger. And I just went to Elsewyer yesterday evening, excited to slay some dragons with a big group of randoms for the first time since a long time!!!! And to my surprise….there wasn’t one person fighting the damn dragon… That’s when I started to get worried… Because back in 2020 that was one of the most fun go to places to farm the dragons. Maybe because Elsewyer is older now and when I was playing back then, I think Elsewyer just came out. But it still makes me worried just because it was really fun farming dragons. And I just don’t know why everyone stopped. When I brought it up into zone chat. No one answered. So I went to one of the beginner maps where everyone hangs out around the way shrine. I asked around about why Elsewyer was so dead. No one seemed to know…only responses I got were some people who said they just returned too but no one really talked about it. And one player said it’s not the same..the player numbers are noticeable different. And another player was like - LOL, “ 3 years ago “ . Like I get it, the game aged 3 years. But it just sucks that one of the funnest places for farming was dead. I know I went on about this like a broken record. But hopefully ESO isn’t starting to die. I love this game.
I think the fact thiers absolutely tons of stuff in the cash shop and not the game is turning people off I find it frustrating and the new dlc was ok but nothing amazeing, and the fact guild shop prices are way to high is a huge turn off to try earn things in game you can’t buy buying them from a guild thier should be a 100k cap on items being sold in guild shops, I don’t mind doing pve and co op content but I like to be able to earn everything in a game weather it’s trading or so on and eso has a lot of fomo and greedy guild shops ruining the game, example fire song motif was easy to farm and as common as anything yet guild shops were selling it for 100k plus gold on the NA server, I sold the excess pages I got for 5-10k gold or traded them away the idea is to help others out and not bleed them dry, I’ll still play eso when I feel like it but honestly the game needs something new and exciting maybe have all items that were ever dropped in the crown store come back and be earnable in a super event or something.
This exactly sums up how I felt about it. High Isle was so bad, with the writing being such low effort I'm not even considering Necrum. They got my money once, wont fool me again.
just a question could starfield be dragging all the promotion money to it , could that be the reason why they cut back on promotional stuff for eso ? . i know that eso is made by zenimax but bethesda is part the same banner of xbox
I do want to point out that, despite only showing a fragment of ESOs playerbase, the Steam Charts are the only truly trustworthy source to check, and if you look at it the numbers given actually been fairly stable, and rise more often than they fall. If you consider that, you can probably guess that console and other PC platforms have a similar trend. I don't think ESO is dying, and I can't bring myself to trust the other websites to accurately guess the playerbase as a whole.
(ffffu I had typed an huge comment and then YT effing ate it. kill me now..) Not all of Necrom is received negatively. I don't think I've seen anyone mutter a bad word about the new companion Sharp-as-Night. He quickly on his way on becoming a new fan favorite. But Necrom feels same old really. Considering that chapters gets planned waay in advance. we know the drill with new zones by now. I can see they trying to spice it up with the increased difficulty for the new dailies and the blue bug mount but it's just not enough to change the fundamental difference of the fact that 99% of rewards are in the store. Promotion wise it really has been meagre so far, I agree with you! Twitch rewards have been downgraded too, they now seems to have moved on to being giveaways instead of guaranteed drops after a certain amount of time watching. Both the musicbox and the Vvardvark pet where giveaways, but the change to win was so low it wasn't even worth watching. together with the increased prices for the shop it really shows how stingy ESO is and the real costumer is the shareholders and not the player base. Also don't forget the amount of content creators who expressed their criticisms of the game having huge influence. I think someone like Josh Strive Hayes really opened up a lot of player's eyes on what makes a good MMO. The whole concept as game as a service is just something many just don't wanna vibe with anymore. There is just better stuff out there really. I've been playing a new save in Oblivion and Morrowind instead of playing Necrom myself. Isn't that saying a lot really? Even Skyrim is still coming out with new banger mods for free. (Taliesin hello!) I am also more looking forward to Skyblivion right now than any eso content. oh and about nerfs. don't forget the heavy attack nerf was received pretty negatively also and plaguebreak too.. Kinda looking towards a few weeks from now if they suddenly start giving us free shit again from the daily rewards or Twitch Drops. then I know they are really panicking behind the scenes. Next chapter is either Whiterun or Bosmer related. calling it now.
leave a like if you would eat hermaeus mora calamari
ESO is dead just switch to FF14.
I hope they do something spectacular for the 10 year anniversary next year as ESO needs it.
Like make all skins, polymorphs, emotes, etc. Achievable in game. They can keep the option to use crowns but make it like every other game.
One tamriel II with criting no telegraphed low cool-down procsets pls
A open world rework would be fantastic
They won't change anything until they start to lose money, that's the sad truth
@@WarbandGameswait hold on what?
Broke friend groups? Dude. Get better friends. My friends all know mechs
Just wait… it’ll get nerfed eventually just like everything else
Arcanist strong? Maybe in PvE. It cannot even scatch me in PvP, i don't die even when i am stunned with that Arca stun. I wanted to play an Arca but after i saw this weak performance in Cyrodiil, i am gonna stay with my templar (if i do not quit Eso again).
I'm really having fun with the Arcanist. I'm on Xbox N/A and have seen a lot of new Arcanists.
I don’t want to get too attached to Arcanist in fears of a nerf (it’s so strong!)
The only thing honestly keeping me around are growth in DPS and I adore Sharp-as-Night as a character and trying to max him out.
Elder Wallets Online
we see the nerf coming. all new classes are intended to be imbalance to be attractive at first
Fair points, nice video:)
I did not do the research myself but my experience is(on PC EU) since the hardware change and the last 2 updates we've had its been more active and alive all around.
Necrom is like the last breath exhalation of this game.
RIP ESO 🥀⚰️ you will be remembered as a gem that got broken by greed and lack of leadership.
Zos forcing u do to pvp zos also forces pvpers to do pve pvpers don't even get content
I can feel the frustration behind this comment
The simple reality is that ESO doesn't evolve. It's crazy how people are excited about ONE new class after literal years without one, no new weapon types, no magic overhaul, nothing. Other MMOs add new classes every single expansion, or expand current classes to always stay fresh. ESO just gets a free pass because its fanbase pretends it's slightly better skyrim instead of comparing it to its major competitors who are all doing a better job. I've legit never seen another game in this genre generate hype by never innovating lmao.
actually real and true
Because we are the generation of "they don't update the game 3000 times with 200000 character? Im soo bored uff uff"
Okay i know that ESO is an exception, but overall this way of think is diffused.
I still think arcanist is a step in the right direction but yea i agree
because at its core and other gameplay ESO plays better than its competitors. I will never play tab target and click and wait games. ESO is fast, has enourmous lore and quests, has open world pvp, and has everything in the world you'd want in a game.
Sure it has problems, but I play other games and just say "man I wish it had "x" from ESO
This game is the best ever made and that’s why it won’t die.
Hey Im in your video at 2:38 on the right side lmaooo! Great video
Due to how long it has been out and the devs reputation, and all the steamers etc of course only want to steam the best stuff, yes it might not seem as popular,
I’m on PC EU, and everywhere I go there are players, and queues are very very fast for BGS and dungeons.
Yes they could improve on some stuff, but for a casual MMO player, this is the best on the market.
Love your video and I’ve subbed!
Great video, I really hope the devs start listening to their community again like they used to
I hope not because community's are filled with mouth breathers in comment threads
4:28 - Devs moved away from world-ending events to just go back to world-ending events with the druids and whatever in the zone dlc .-.
I mean in terms of DPS, it's really not that different when we talk high end DPS like 120k+
Sure, beam makes up roughly half the damage, but generate 3 crux and just do beam is exactly that, half the damage.
For some reason, I couldn't pick up that you're a Kiwi. Glad to find a Kiwi content creator for ESO!!
i am american but i have lived in new zealand for quite a while so this place is my home! :)
@@Azuraaaaaaaaa love that! I’m glad you found your home here in beautiful New Zealand. So from this day onward, I here by declare you a Kiwi, you may renounce your US bonds effective immediately 🤣
I stopped to play I'm playing nonstop from beginning the game is too easy to play no challenge in the normal world mobs to normal it is boring sadly
Very insightful! So far I've been pretty disappointed by the way things have been going in ESO. Mostly the nerfing has been really a discouragement. I'm praying that they really do listen to the community and fix stuff later in the year.
The Fable music makes me feel very nostalgic! I love it.
I spent 2 hours losing my mind digging through urns find one purple plan.
And if they do somehow nerf the Arcanist, they will have expedited the process of ESO declining
completely agree! you can tell that there was a lot of time put into *some* areas of the expansion, but being a dungeon appreciator myself, i am so sad we aren't getting our two other dungeons for Q3. :(
I mean, they got burnt last year with the card game they were advertising and the backlash to U35, so that's wny they might be playing safe now.
9 months later coming in to say diablo 4 died faster than a rat in a fire. Endgame was the worst I've ever seen in a game
At least they added group delves in bastion, been begging for more craglorn like zones n neceom looks a step in right direction.
Eso will never die
I only got the new dlc to help my wife make her arc and to do the quest.
The devs have blatantly ignored everyone when we asked for game performance fixes and other NON gear and skill related issues to be fixed.
This has made me look to other games that actually listen to their paychecks/us.
What other games are you playing atm
@@7128jml diablo 4 and elden ring and vampire survivor.
I think Josh Strife Hayes video called: "Should You Play Elder Scrolls Online?" perfectly summarises my thoughts on this game.
Love the oblivion music in the background playing occasionally Azura
Arcanists are quite tanky in BGs, plus they have an immobilization ability that's quite annoying.
they nerfed the night blade and made this dog shit that is just another night blade with pretty colors to get you to pay to win fuck eso and their dog shit
I'd like to try the new class and explore the new chapter, but I really don't want to do all the chores all over again.
I'm a vet for 9 years and the fact we had the new class drop and view numbers on Twitch barley spiked says it all...
PvPers are a very small minority, nothing done for them will increase the popularity of the game. PvE is the money always.
Eso pvp is just toxic nerds and small compared to pve population and requires no skills, they just tank. How will that save the game exactly?
@@kushweiser they need to destroy tanks in pvp and make them suck, then PvP could be good again.
@@TrueMakaveli50exactly! And I always help new players out with gear so they feel welcomed.
But it was the nerf to the velothi ur-mage amulet and the lacklustre sets which made me absolutely *not* buy Necrom on release.
it might be dying on pc but console is stacked no matter where u go
Definitely it's Diablo 4 and other games like final fantasy 16.
Because its 50€ 😂
ESO evolves through expansion rather than escalation.
I’m a returning player and was shocked as hell how dead necrom was when I logged in
2 hours log in queue yeah dead game
how does the graphs and statistics for player counts coincides with releases of other games? and how might this competition for market space make it seem as if the player base is dying when it might just be lesser fluctuations? as for the necrom dlc we know that it competes with the Diablo 4 release and necrom has not really been advertized as much as diablo has and that would be an important variable? either way i look forward to see how this DLC perform as i just could not bring my self to play high isle. love the video
Zos devs have one goal, profit. That's it.
I think some gamers are focused on Diablo 4. That's taken away some players from ESO for sure.
alot of ppl will return after the first d4 season because diablo game is redoing the same thing over and over every season
Nah simply the game is now unplayable after so many bad decisions from ZOS
Havent played since launch days so ive missed alot but picked up the Necrom Deluxe version so im excited to jump back in with so much content on the ps5
20:12 Wow, I don't think I've ever seen Skinny Cheeks that upset. Says a LOT imho.
Im sorry... i bought crown crates trying to get the new teleport animation... i failed you Azura
(I also didnt get the teleport)
it's ok, at least you repented for your sins...........
I think the fact thiers absolutely tons of stuff in the cash shop and not the game is turning people off I find it frustrating and the new dlc was ok but nothing amazeing, and the fact guild shop prices are way to high is a huge turn off to try earn things in game you can’t buy buying them from a guild thier should be a 100k cap on items being sold in guild shops, I don’t mind doing pve and co op content but I like to be able to earn everything in a game weather it’s trading or so on and eso has a lot of fomo and greedy guild shops ruining the game, example fire song motif was easy to farm and as common as anything yet guild shops were selling it for 100k plus gold on the NA server,
I sold the excess pages I got for 5-10k gold or traded them away the idea is to help others out and not bleed them dry, I’ll still play eso when I feel like it but honestly the game needs something new and exciting maybe have all items that were ever dropped in the crown store come back and be earnable in a super event or something.
(ffffu I had typed an huge comment and then YT effing ate it. kill me now..)
Not all of Necrom is received negatively.
I'm loving Baldur's Gate 3 and cancelled my sub and quit eso for good.
As soon as I saw the release date I knew it was a wrap. No way they can compete with a new Diablo game that comes out once every 10 years.
