I run a Sorc. For newer players, the craftable "Law of Julianos" set. This set can literally carry you from lvl 1 to CP160. It's one of the better tier 2 gears before you get a tier 1 trail set. Law of Julianos paired with Mothers Sorrow carried me all the way to normal trails (raids). Just now starting to replace for my tier one trail set
I use the Master's Perfected Greatsword in most Vet DLC dungeons with, ofcourse, Carve as spammable. You delete packs of enemies while your single target dps remains respectable. Even most bosses spawn ads, so the damage really adds up. All while having that lovely shield from Carve!
A set that never gets mentioned that is quite ok to run is Gryphons Ferocity from summerset, not bis by any means but in mobile fights can help you keep up minor force without needing trap/channeled acceleration, the expedition is nice too. I like using it in dungeons on a nightblade to free up a slot on my bars

@@mkEK9mp7mGRpr6 MA is good in short fight where you can burst down the boss. For longer fights its questionable because you won't get good uptime of of Major Slayer, let alone 100% like with Lokkestiiz.
@@skipperg4436 you don't get very many synergies in dungeons, so you're definitely not getting 100% uptime on lokke, esp. since it only lasts 16 seconds and a standard synergy cooldown is 20 seconds. the standard healer setup for dungeons (outside of specific setups for specific fights) is spc/ma, so if you're in lokke you are wearing a set whose only bonus is a buff you are most likely getting, at least in part, from the healer. it's way more effective to have part time slayer + a strong set like sul-xan or whorl or bahsei or coral or any of the other mentioned sets than to wear a set whose only buff is one a healer is already going to give you, at least part-time. lokke is a dead set.
I think Graven Inevitability is slept on for heavy attack builds (or at least on non-organised content). Great if there's a large portion of your damage not strictly coming from heavy attacks (such as Warden's beatles or DK's DoTs)

What is a Heavy attack build? Compared to whatever a normal build is? CP500 here. Just coming back to ESO after a couple expansions and I am trying to get my Stamcro optimized so that I will do good dmg and can do trials. Currently rocking New Moon/Hundings/and Selenes.
@Studly Hungwell lol you have problems. It’s not cringe at all it’s how mmo usually go if not you wear the same gear as every one else in the same class. Go run your heavy attack build more lol.
@Studly Hungwell A part from Arcanist they homogenized everything already. Every build is the same set, same non-class skills with a couple class skills sprinkled in.
Hey Skinny, what are some things to consider for front bar sets? Would proc sets generally be front bar-able, while flat bonus like order's better as a constant set?
This video is only for after level 50 Ashen Grip is beyond amazing for DPS for dual wield, im using a level 16 version of Ashens on a level 38 and it crushes. I'll be upgrading the set to level 40 when I finish the research Also What the hell does "Front/back Bar" mean? What the frick is a trial WTF is debuff
What about those sets that give you huge resource pools? Like Crafty Alfiq, Bone pirate, Necropotence... Back in the day they used to be close to bis, especially Necropotence for pets. Were they outclassed in time or were they never good?
They should really buff class-specific and ability-specific sets. So that they would outperform universal sets. Because its really stupid to have 500+ of them yet having only handful of them being used...
@@skinnycheeks another thing is Minor Slayer buff... This bonus is so strong that we are forced to wear a 5-piece trial set... Thus I beg ZOS - with tears in my eyes - to add other sources of it. For examlpe, make Asylum weapons give it when using respective skill. Almost all of Asylum weapons are useless anyway. Add trial dropped Alchemy ingredient. Add a mythic that adds this buff (existing anti-skill ring doesn't count).
@@skipperg4436 Something I proposed in Skinny's twitch chat that I thought would be really cool for build diversity; when they add the "Endless Dungeon", one reward that they could do would be "perfected" dungeon or monster sets that have Minor Slayer as the "perfected" bonus.
Trial sets are unattainable for many players, even for those who are members of a guild... I'm proof of that, I literally can't get into the trial and I'm cp855...thanks for the vid

41:48 MagDens are in a weird place where your essential weapon/spamable taunts bosses away from tanks making it unusable/very risky in high level content
Typing before watching: Just finished farming undaunted infiltrator and noble duelist set (full armor set plus full jewelry and lightning staff) all to realize i really dont like heavy attack build, its extremely powerful but it feels dumb to be relying on something other than the power i picked to play as. Its also kinda disappointing the major difference between lightning staff and two handed compared to other weapons, light and heavy attack should be viable on any weapon or at the very least the weaker weapons should restore more magicka/stamina. I hope to find an efficient build that is more power based by time arcanist comes as i am looking forward to being an arcanist. Is oakensoul worth having if you dont plan to do heavy attack build? Im new to the game but contemplating buying the high isle dlc just for the ring.
because you can get its damage bonus from the back bar. You cast wall of elements and that's it. Master's stuff bonus however last only 4 seconds thus if you back-bar it you would have to switch to back bar every 4 seconds which is not something that you want to do.
Daunting? But I am "The Undaunted" 😅. Seriously though, I hope they make some older sets a bit more effective like strength of the automaton or sword dancer

Anyone who is only running pillar/rele is losing a lot of damage on a lot of fights
General rule, yah. There are some exceptions though.
What's the armor style that's presented when you're talking about Azureblight at 26:00?
7:13 Crypt of farts xD
So I use 5 piece pillar and 5 piece whorl on my magplar but should I switch whorl for deadly?
very nice video .. thx help me know how this game is worth it play everyday :D
This video is only for after level 50
Ashen Grip is beyond amazing for DPS for dual wield, im using a level 16 version of Ashens on a level 38 and it crushes. I'll be upgrading the set to level 40 when I finish the research
Also
What the hell does "Front/back Bar" mean?
What the frick is a trial
WTF is debuff
Might I ask where else this research is taking place
What about those sets that give you huge resource pools? Like Crafty Alfiq, Bone pirate, Necropotence...
Back in the day they used to be close to bis, especially Necropotence for pets.
Were they outclassed in time or were they never good?
Alot of those are used in pvp still
@@davidb3155 Even Necropotence? It's been a while since i've seen someone seriously use pets in pvp.
But yeah, Alfiq is used
@blabik it's not common but ive seen twilight matriarch used for the burst heal.
They should really buff class-specific and ability-specific sets.
So that they would outperform universal sets.
Because its really stupid to have 500+ of them yet having only handful of them being used...
yeah would be nice
@@acastanza any dungeon set can get "perfected" name tag and minor slayer bonus?
Yeah, that would work... But that could make trial sets obsolete...
Trial sets are unattainable for many players, even for those who are members of a guild... I'm proof of that, I literally can't get into the trial and I'm cp855...thanks for the vid
Hey skinny! What set would you pair with runecarvers on a magdk?
Would highly depend on what I’m doing.
What is your opinion on the Master Dual-wield Daggers? I personally like the intense bleeding effect on that one for ages.
it's good, but the damage is not any better than blackrose prison dual wield and you get damage mitigation from that one too.
Just a question on that, can cruel flurry empower the already buffed masters twin slashes?
@@dad_uchiha1707 yes
This one noticed that Kinra's set is not in top 10 any more, which is fine, the question is - why Grave Inevitability never made it as it seems to do twice more buffs than Kinra
major force is what you get for war horns. if you check my tier list I have it on there. great damage if you aren't getting good war horn uptimes, if you are though it is redundant.
@@skinnycheeks thank you!
nice work sir
thanks!
i wonder if claw of the forrest wraith might be good for arcanist
it's okay but gonna be outclassed by other options
Why didn't you mention about Law of Julianos?
Isn't elemental succession (the one that is elemental damage = 5% bonus Crits) work on force shock for instant 15%?
Orders wrath or deadly strike?
Hello, I have a question, I know that Bahsei's Mania doesn't boost pet damage, then what about Ansuul's Torment? Does this set boost pet damage or not?
Bahsei does boost pets. They fixed that a few patches ago. I would assume ansuul works the same way but I haven’t personally tested
you didnt talk about runecarver in this vid, but is it still worth running now?
yeah it is very good. in the A-Tier on my list
Question, does a set that say "x damage every y second" does damage on second 0 or just on the first "y" second?
Can you trigger all of elemental catalyst with just a force pulse/crushing shock?
yep, as long as you don't go +3s between casts
On my 2h stamwarden, I switch between essence thief and pillar. Does the damage done affect the crit damage cap?
No, damage done modifiers are not capped
I'm currently running Auroran's thunder on my sorc becuese it looks cool but I want to know if it's actually a good set
it's very nice for short bursts. but the 50% uptime makes it a bit meh for a lot of situations
41:48 MagDens are in a weird place where your essential weapon/spamable taunts bosses away from tanks making it unusable/very risky in high level content
The morph you want to use doesn’t taunt. Only the clench morph taunts.
@@skinnycheeks reach over clench then? Got it
@@ron-johnsmith8367 yeah reach is the one that is for dps
What about the gourmands set? Is that used at all?
yeah it is a great option if you are under the crit dmg cap. similar to order's wrath
Typing before watching:
Just finished farming undaunted infiltrator and noble duelist set (full armor set plus full jewelry and lightning staff) all to realize i really dont like heavy attack build, its extremely powerful but it feels dumb to be relying on something other than the power i picked to play as.
It’s a good piece of gear, a lot of buffs.
@@GabrielEGomez-yi3ub yea, i ended up farming all of the pieces yesterday. Its insane the difference between not using oakensoul and using it.
Why is the Maelstrom arena staff better on the back bar? What about the Master's staff?
because you can get its damage bonus from the back bar. You cast wall of elements and that's it.
Master's stuff bonus however last only 4 seconds thus if you back-bar it you would have to switch to back bar every 4 seconds which is not something that you want to do.
@@skipperg4436 OK, thanks
Can't wait to get screamed at for not running meta sets again 🤦
Daunting? But I am "The Undaunted" 😅. Seriously though, I hope they make some older sets a bit more effective like strength of the automaton or sword dancer
Hey skinny, i need a warden op raid healer can u make a build pls
What about scathing mage? I think its nice set too, for a quick trash run
yep, it is pretty nice. I actually mentioned it in a little note under my tier list on the website.
@@skinnycheeks need to chek) ty)
Hey man, would you put OW over MS for magplar?
Yeah. Should be a tiny bit better. And you can customize the weights you want
@@skinnycheeks thank you! Love your videos btw. You brought me back into this game after a 1-2 year break😂
what is that style on 7:03 to 9:15?
@skinnycheeks 44:22 what costume is that?
not sure, some random one I grabbed on the PTS. could be a new one for necrom
