I own this bike ('24) The windscreen hole is to eliminate buffeting at high speeds, (you know, like a open window in your car, resonance) I've had it over a ton & everything works flawlessly. The seat could use a little more padding. After 4hrs in the saddle it gets achy, I'll be adding a dead animal or something to fix that on the next RT. Every review hates the bags, I don't have a problem w/them. They stay dry & hold as much liquid (weight) as you can fit. Could be larger but then your hauling a passenger amount of dead weight up a mountain. I'll pass on extra weight. Love to give in depth trail review but alas one has to work so, so far mostly I've gone over the handlebars 3 times, dropped it twice (Slipped on pine needles & stalled while cold doing a cowboy launch. No witnesses so don't tell anybody) Replaced one plastic brush guard $100+ (you have to buy a pair *^%$#?!) Heated seat never worked, dealer gets to deal w/that. Grips do work. Handles corners like a road bike, balanced on the Hwy. All & all I like the bike. Goes like stink (Zoom) Who knows on reliability ? "Futures a mystery" The swedes didn't cheap out on Nordens though, it seems. The flying I've done is because I figure YTrs are all wimps & I know how to cross ponds & power up steeps because I confirm everything I do w/my own opinions 1st, then mash the throttle & yell. Be surprised how often it works. "The bruise method" Amazingly no scratches on the paint yet ! R brake lever is sculpture but works. ☮
I researched bikes for more than 3 years to find best best option for long highway rides with the option of doing green and blue trails/roads. I ended up deciding that the Honda AT AS was the best option. Then I saw the Husqvarna Norden 901 Expedition. 😮 Within 2or 3 days, I fell in love with this bike. The Norden 901 Expedition was my unicorn bike. On January 2, 2024 my wife and I ordered one. On January 9, we took it home. I have ridden this on some red trails(that used to be green) and it blows my mind every time. I would not recommend this bike to anyone shorter than 5’ 11”.
You kind of caught me by surprise when you mentioned you thought the Harley-Davidson was around the same price the Harley-Davidson starts at 20,000 but it is a 1180 cc motorcycle also but if you've ever ridden one they're definitely not and off pavement motorcycle by a long stretch of the imagination in my opinion😊
So after posting this video, a few comments were posted under it from owners who complained about some engine problem. But they are covered under warranty. Look into the forums for more details.
@@FLSTFB103 I’m 5’10” 31.5” inseam, and I have no issues as I’ve been riding enduro and dual sports for years so the Norden is acceptable I’ve ridden many many motorcycles and have never ridden one with the 6 axis imu controlling it in street mode, it just delivers seamless power on any terrain. Going into Explorer mode and adjusting it up and down is incredible. I’ve done a WRS touring windshield with a Puig medium clamp on extension screen so no buffeting just clean non turbulent air makes the Norden a joy to ride.
No, I wouldn't buy it, I already have one 😁. The bags won't last long without modification, the suspension is great, wind protection is ok. The front tire almost never runs smoothly, there are better ones on the market. Great engine, gearbox average, but also ok. Price-performance ratio is hard to beat, I paid EUR 13,990 in Germany.
The number 901 has nothing to do with the displacement, it is how KTM wants to imply that HUSQVARNA is of higher quality it's a way to say, HUSQVARNA, GASGAS, KTM EJ: 701, 700, 690 but all bikes haf the same engie
I love my Norden. Almost a year and it’s reliable totally. People don’t know how reliable they sre
Just finishing my second season with the Norden, fantastic bike on and off pavement (once you change the tires).

I would only be concerned how reliable this bike is ?

It will reliably eat cams😂
Hydraulic clutch is a weakness??? But hydraulic brakes are okay? Hmm…
How tall are you?

How are you gonna ride a Husky with WP Explorers through city traffic and call it a review?
@@ismailsiglam3544 reviews come in all shapes and sizes:)
They call this 901 as this is their usual numbering - they never said it has 901cc. The KTM 1290 has 1301cc, this must drive you crazy. Relax.

sure it does...889cc, with the husky uptick to 901, so folks know the difference. lots of companies do that
BMW is changes the shaft for free every 60,000 km😊. Not to bad.

I like my bikes with cams. So no I would not buy this bike.
If it really was such an issue, why is no one making aftermarket ones, like Kent Cams?
Old school here. You?
're saying that the indicator. Is not to the left or the rite of the screen.? If so, why would they mess that up?
