Flurry Ultima is pretty good use for her, or teach her Aurons entrust ability and use her as a emergency overdrive battery. The lightning dodge is total bullshit UNLESS you use the crater trick to make it 15 minutes of easy counting to yourself, personaly I found the catcher chocobo race and Cactaure tag mini games the more impossible bullshit in the game without hours of retrys. Honestly I always felt it would have made more sense to have LuLu be the Summoner and Khimari be a shaman type healer and Yuna just be a npc that travels with you, 7 party members are not needed to fill 4 roles (fighter, spellcaster, healer, Damage Soaker) imo, especially when EVERY character eventually learns EVERY skill in the game making assined roles and party swapping pointless. By the end of the game you never need any one beyond Yuna, Tidus, and Wakka for Summons, Healing, physical damage and multi hit overdrives. Which is sad because I really like Auron and Khimari, Tidus is a whiny little bitch...Squal would kick his ass lol
If your characters are weak, I reccomed just using Anima's overdrive a few times (sphere only uses hydraulic press which you can outheal with protect and curaga)

Before unleashing the overdrive just make sure your party HP are 100% recovered to prevent dying from Hydro press which is fixed gravity based attack it reduces 15/16 of your Party’s HP also change the overdrive mode to Comrade to charge your Overdrive meter it would charge faster with Triple Overdrive you can win without triggering the Counter Ultima in 2 turns just keep your HP full or cast Auto life if you have auto haste
Isn't Triple Overdrive a weapon ability? Giving it to a custom break damage weapon is weaker than using the celestial weapons since those have a unique piercing damage.

Save before you see new tournament/league, and load if the price is not right. It rolls the new prices at the moment you open blitzball menu, so if you save before that, you can keep rerolling the prize until it's right. With this it usually takes me about 2 hours to get it, depending on your BB skills and a bit of luck it might vary. Also save between games, always better to load and try again if you lose, than risk throwing league/tournament to trash (unless you have already secured 100% league price, then just let opponents make a score and give up to save time).
Wakka ---------- Auto-Protect Deathproof Auto-Phoenix 2 other needs undeveloped and can carry something else on armors. this video show the fastest way to farm Fortune spheres. :)
Not bad at all, a slightly faster method is to solo it with wakka, wakka in loner OD mode armor is auto shell auto haste death proof and auto Regen, the other 2 escape from battle 2 defends fills overdrive gauge and 2 attacks and 2 attack reels kill him, takes just over 1 minute a fight, and you never have to heal ever due to auto shell and auto haste also removes the need for underdeveloped characters though I would still recommend it, at least for rikku with SOS Regen for when farming HP spheres in under a minute using a similar method.
Well if anyone's ready to do this, we are most likely talking about completionists, and probably with that in mind, you have all the ultimate weapons and overdrives long before you even plan on maxing all the stats to beat all the super bosses. So no, it's not even worth mentioning that you do need the ultimate weapons and overdrives to beat the bosses that you might be doing this for.

Better developing Yuna rather than Lulu, lols. All monster arena enemies (exclude Nemesis, for me so far at least) are defeatable by using Magus sister or Anima, this of course you can maxing their stat by developing Yuna level as well
C'mon dude Blitzball is a piece of cake, I played it for a long time and never lost a game when the HD version came out. It's also very funny to play for me. If you dont like it just follow some guides in the net and play it just the necessary to obtain Wakka's weapon. Trust me it's not that hard.
@Hookers n' Cocaine Trust me, it is. The fun fact about blitzball is that is a role playing game just like the rest of the game itself, it's about statistics and choices. Once you learn the basics the game will became easy. I recommend to sign free agents player cause the default team is not very strong. For example Brother is very useful at the beginning beacuse he is extremely fast and that helps when your other characters have weak stats. You can find a lot of guides on the internet that explain how to improve your game and the best players to sign. Of course I also enjoyed playing the game but if you don't just obtain Wakka's weapon and then stop playing.
If you’re at the point of maxing out your luck stat then all other factors and requirements have most likely been met if you’re crying about blitzball or celestial weapons luck is the last of your worries
@Hookers n' Cocaine wakkas celestial is easy as lol it requires blitzball you're not dodging lightning or getting 00.00 in the chocobo race with it, and provided you have had at least 450 battles by using reset data in the blitz ball menu you can have his sigil and all reels after 1 season and 3 tournaments it takes literally 2 hours from start to finish to obtain.
I honestly got his weapon, and the sigil in a weekend. Just sign ropp, brother, wedge. Brother has the fastest swim stat almost, herd all the other team, get in space, pass to tidus, jecht shot. Rinse and repeat. You can even get possession and stand in your own goal net and the game will literally do nothing (however, you characters won't develop fast at all if you do the goal hanging trick from the beginning)
+Adrian Amundsen Unfortunately, then this strat doesn't work. You kinda need to know from the start that you're gonna do this, or just be lucky and not have been using couple characters during the story. Actually the latter happened to me, and so I found this nice farming way.
+Diacor4Life Figured it out. Get a loner overdrive mode for Wakka (or Tidus if you don't have Attack Reels), kill your other party members, then just Attack Reels -> skip skip skip until over drive -> Attack Reels. Rinse and repeat.
You can acctually use avenger overdrive mode if your desperate, just make sure you challenge don tonberry and make sure two party members die so their at 1 hp before you challenge any of these two. You will then start with one overdrive, easially activate the 2nd and after that you can entrust your sacrifices overdrive bars to preferably wakka. Its a bit more tedious but get the job done.
Use victor overdrive mode, go in with full overdrives, have wakka do attack reels, entrust another overdrive to him, have him do it again and then finish up with an attack or 2, this will get you half an overdrive again, then pick besaid -> dingo kill it and you'll have full overdrives again for another go.
I recommend blitz ace instead of slice and dice. If you fail slice and dice the sphere may survive, however with blitzace even if you fail you defeat the water crap
Respectfully disagree good sir. Slice and dice is just better, plus blitz ace can move the middle marker sometimes to the right, its a faster gauge too. It also hits weaker than slice and dice for the vast vast vast majority of even the end game.
im saying if you fail slice and dice, you dont kill the sphere after 1 attack reels and you still have to hit it again a few times or another slice and dice. With blitz ace, no matter the result (even if you fail or not) the sphere dies.

After seeing what's required for maxing luck and filling out the sphere grid, I give up on this. The PS3 version doesn't have a 4x speed mode and I'm not wasting 15+ hours of my life just farming fortune spheres that should have been sold by a fucking merchant or something. I've done pretty much everything else, but fuck this shit.
On earth eater what stat does your strength need to be to make overdriven worth it? I get more out of quick hits right now against him even with attach reels
Hard to say, because I had all stats 255 before I even started grinding Luck. You need crits, so as you collect luck, put them on Wakka as you go, so he gets more and more crits.
@DeadMemes NeedToStayDead Max out Wakka, period. He's that good (considering you have his Celestial Weapon). Start with Strength, Accuracy and Agility (and HP/MP just to hit 9999/999 and make sure you have Quick Hit). After your offensive stats are fine, move to defensive stats. It hastens your farming if you start with the stats that makes the farming faster (able to hit, able to kill, and be faster that the enemy). Also to make the farming faster and at the same time get ready for end game battles, good ones to max out are Tidus (good limit break damage), Rikku (OP limit with hardest bosses, definite must have on Penance) and Yuna (Summons as a meat shield, good with some battles, like Nemesis and few Dark Aeons. Very bad with some, like Penance, because the fight is all about perfect turn order management and you cannot die. Waste with most bosses, that won't do any "100% party wipe" big hits). Also FYI, Break HP limit is kind of a waste. With right Armor setups and enough defensive stats, you cannot die in 1 hit from anything in the game, except attacks that would kill you anyways even if you had 99,999 HP. Of course that's just how I see and do the end game farming, you might find many other ways to go by that suits you better :)
Comrade overdrive fills the gauge depending on the damage the ally takes in relation to his/her max HP. So low max HP and low defence stats = full overdrive to Wakka and Tidus on every hit, 100% guaranteed. If all characters are fully developed before you start farming luck, no one will take much damage from counter attacks, and as their HP is high too, it also mitigates the Overdrive gain. You might not get full overdrive every turn.
Luck, Evasion, Accuracy dont need to maximum. Luck about 180 or more is ok. I dont build Eva, Acc (useless when against boss). Those Node just for HP reach max. Where is your Break HP Limit?
Needing all stats 255 and wanting all stats 255 are 2 totally different things for a completionist ^_^ If you have maxed out stats with right armors: Auto Protect + Auto Haste always, and depending on fight, Ribbon + Auto-Phoenix (Dark Aeons), or Defence+20% + Auto Potion with X-Potions (Penance), then Break HP-Limit is literally the biggest waste you can have. Even Penance can't kill you even once throughout the entire fight. Only things that can kill you at that point are attacks that would kill you anyways, even with 100k HP.
Zero Resistance 99999 probably because of a very high luck stat and getting 100% crits. What i don't get is how the hydraulic press does so little damage. Even with 255 def and protect, my characters take huge amounts of damage. Tidus taking around 9000 and Wakka around 5000
@@homeyduh from what I have read hydrolic press does something like 11/12ths of a characters hp but can be reduced by defense buffs such as cheer and protect. I can only guess that maybe his characters had auto protect armour maybe
You'll figure it out. Go online and look up "Luck" and "Fortune" Spheres and you'll know who to fight. It would have been nice for him to show, yet it isn't necessary with the ease of Google.
Gary Whittington good, overdrive to AP doesn't work here, cause you need overdrive. You sure you have Comrade equiped on Tidus/Wakka? Only attack that doesn't give overdrive is Megaton Punch, because it doesn't do damage, it just kills.
It does seem to work for the Greater Sphere however it doesnt seem to work for Earth Eater. the megaton punch doesn't trigger Wakka's Comrade Overdrive for some reason?
Anyone else find it a bit sad that to beat any of these things you need to grind stats for a week to the point any reward you get becomes meaningless and the rest of the game completely trivial and boring? If not for the Perfect Grid Master Trophy no one would bother to do this in a game that can easily be conquered in less than 60 hours of casual play. I am doing it for the trophy and probably never play again...atleast for a long while.
It's a completionist thing, and it's not a requirement for finishing the game. Many JRPG's, especially Final Fantasys, has optional super bosses that requires you to grind more hours that what it take to beat the entire game. For me the grinding and the super bosses are a thing of love, I myself don't enjoy that much just running through the story, unless I'm speedrunning. But I can understand that FFX endgame might be quite a bit too much for a person who doesn't like grinding, I just happen to love grinding, so I'm happy that it has optional stuff for my tastes. For people who only wants to progress through the story, that's still a great option too. No need to go after ridiculous superbosses and afterwards trivialize the last boss of the story.
@@thecelsano yeah but there is a lot more to the game then just the story, it takes much longer to do alllll the side quests, track down hidden items and earn ultimate weapons, and grind the monster arena to fill out the entire sphere grid for every character for the Grid Master trophy.
There are enough nodes on it to effectively max all stats and get 999mp and 99999hp you have to have 170 agility, 230 luck and 30 evasion, everything else can be 255 and that's basically the same as 255 in all stats. Which one is better depends on what you want to do, the expert grid allows you to change character paths early, whereas on the standard grid you're characters are locked into their roles for longer.
@@nekogod The expert grid has less nodes on it. Less nodes means more effort to max stats and also a slightly lower potential although the difference is not enough to stop you from killing anything in the game.

Freaking Jim It's necessary for Dark Yojimbo and Dark Mindy, or you can't hit them at all. Other than that, high luck is mostly for ~100% critical hit chance to buff damage, and very high evasion.
Freaking Jim 230 is enough to have 100% crit chance against every monster in the game, still there' one enemy who you can't seem to even land a hit with 230 luck, Dark Mindy. If you hit her, it'll be a crit, but the problem is hitting her ;)
High luck is not needed at all to defeat dark aeons. Even Dark Yojimbo and Dark Mindy and Cindy. I defeated all Dark Aeons with my characters at 255 strength, 255 Defense, 180 magic (doesn’t need to be maxed at all) 255 Magic Defense, 170 agility(agility after 170 is pointless) 70 luck on my three main characters, and evasion and accuracy were around 150-180, evasion and accuracy don’t need to be maxed if you have around 80-100 luck. Now with those stats you will be able to beat practically all Dark aeons with ease EXCEPT yojimbo, Cindy, and mindy. For yojimbo you need to make sure you are having rikku comic hyper mighty g. And if you cast aim on your party 2-4 times you will be able to hit him practically every time. However make sure your main 3 are set at comrade overdrive mode because you want to use Wakkas attack reels a lot against yojimbo. For mindy and Cindy the only way you are going to be able to hit them with 70 luck is with overdrives but they are still quite easy. You can also damage them with holy for around 20,000-30,000 damage. Max luck is most certainly not needed to take on Dark aeons, max stats in general are not needed to fight them.
I remember I played on ps3 version. it tooks me 20 mins to kills the the 2nd guy and he drop only 1 luck sphere. I dont remember well, I think its only 1 luck spere per character.

I just use 99 item cheat to skip the farming for this and dark matter. Be smart and don't waste your life on this monotonous grinding if you already know you can farm it legit.
Max Strength, and enough Luck to have 100% Critical hits. Still, multi hitting limits like Wakka's Reels or Tidus's Slice and Dice does have nerfed damage per hit, so depending on the enemy's defense, they might never reach 99,999 damage per hit. With max stats you should hit 99,999 to most enemies though. Ah, and of course, you need Celestial Weapons because they have the hidden power boost depending on your HP. Everyone else than Auron deals maximum damage when they are full HP, Auron deals more damage when he's low HP. So if for example Wakka is at 50% HP and you use Attack Reels, it won't do as much damage. With high defense enemies you should try to use limits at max HP.

@@gaiatrixgames I never use str +20%, I'm not even sure if it can go past 255 anyways, so it could possibly go to waste. If I remember correctly, these were my ultimate armors to make all content "easy" with Quick Hits (I don't really use any overdrives to Dark Aeons, I Entrust all overdrives to Rikku's Mixes). Dark Aeons: Ribbon, Auto-Haste, Auto-Protect, Auto-Phoenix. Dark Aeons have some attacks that just kills you whether you want it or not, so Auto Phoenix is better than -Potion. Just heal manually, you'll be fine. Penance: Auto-Haste, Auto-Protect, Defence+20%, Auto-Potion (Sell all potions that aren't full heal like X-potion). With full stats + Auto-Protect + Def+20% + Rikku's Mixes (and Dispel unfortunately), Penance can't hit 9999 as long as you keep focusing the hands away, so that means that you don't need Auto Phoenix as you can not die (because of auto X-Potion). Also if you keep focusing the hands away, Penance can't deal any status effects, thus no need fot Ribbon. If you need some more tips, let me know :)

C'mon dude Blitzball is a piece of cake, I played it for a long time and never lost a game when the HD version came out. It's also very funny to play for me. If you dont like it just follow some guides in the net and play it just the necessary to obtain Wakka's weapon. Trust me it's not that hard.
@Hookers n' Cocaine Trust me, it is. The fun fact about blitzball is that is a role playing game just like the rest of the game itself, it's about statistics and choices. Once you learn the basics the game will became easy. I recommend to sign free agents player cause the default team is not very strong. For example Brother is very useful at the beginning beacuse he is extremely fast and that helps when your other characters have weak stats. You can find a lot of guides on the internet that explain how to improve your game and the best players to sign. Of course I also enjoyed playing the game but if you don't just obtain Wakka's weapon and then stop playing.
If you’re at the point of maxing out your luck stat then all other factors and requirements have most likely been met if you’re crying about blitzball or celestial weapons luck is the last of your worries
@Hookers n' Cocaine wakkas celestial is easy as lol it requires blitzball you're not dodging lightning or getting 00.00 in the chocobo race with it, and provided you have had at least 450 battles by using reset data in the blitz ball menu you can have his sigil and all reels after 1 season and 3 tournaments it takes literally 2 hours from start to finish to obtain.
I honestly got his weapon, and the sigil in a weekend. Just sign ropp, brother, wedge. Brother has the fastest swim stat almost, herd all the other team, get in space, pass to tidus, jecht shot. Rinse and repeat. You can even get possession and stand in your own goal net and the game will literally do nothing (however, you characters won't develop fast at all if you do the goal hanging trick from the beginning)

+Adrian Amundsen Unfortunately, then this strat doesn't work. You kinda need to know from the start that you're gonna do this, or just be lucky and not have been using couple characters during the story. Actually the latter happened to me, and so I found this nice farming way.
+Diacor4Life Figured it out. Get a loner overdrive mode for Wakka (or Tidus if you don't have Attack Reels), kill your other party members, then just Attack Reels -> skip skip skip until over drive -> Attack Reels. Rinse and repeat.
You can acctually use avenger overdrive mode if your desperate, just make sure you challenge don tonberry and make sure two party members die so their at 1 hp before you challenge any of these two. You will then start with one overdrive, easially activate the 2nd and after that you can entrust your sacrifices overdrive bars to preferably wakka. Its a bit more tedious but get the job done.
Use victor overdrive mode, go in with full overdrives, have wakka do attack reels, entrust another overdrive to him, have him do it again and then finish up with an attack or 2, this will get you half an overdrive again, then pick besaid -> dingo kill it and you'll have full overdrives again for another go.
I recommend blitz ace instead of slice and dice. If you fail slice and dice the sphere may survive, however with blitzace even if you fail you defeat the water crap
Respectfully disagree good sir. Slice and dice is just better, plus blitz ace can move the middle marker sometimes to the right, its a faster gauge too. It also hits weaker than slice and dice for the vast vast vast majority of even the end game.
im saying if you fail slice and dice, you dont kill the sphere after 1 attack reels and you still have to hit it again a few times or another slice and dice. With blitz ace, no matter the result (even if you fail or not) the sphere dies.

After seeing what's required for maxing luck and filling out the sphere grid, I give up on this. The PS3 version doesn't have a 4x speed mode and I'm not wasting 15+ hours of my life just farming fortune spheres that should have been sold by a fucking merchant or something.
I've done pretty much everything else, but fuck this shit.

Hard to say, because I had all stats 255 before I even started grinding Luck. You need crits, so as you collect luck, put them on Wakka as you go, so he gets more and more crits.
@DeadMemes NeedToStayDead Max out Wakka, period. He's that good (considering you have his Celestial Weapon). Start with Strength, Accuracy and Agility (and HP/MP just to hit 9999/999 and make sure you have Quick Hit). After your offensive stats are fine, move to defensive stats. It hastens your farming if you start with the stats that makes the farming faster (able to hit, able to kill, and be faster that the enemy).
Also to make the farming faster and at the same time get ready for end game battles, good ones to max out are Tidus (good limit break damage), Rikku (OP limit with hardest bosses, definite must have on Penance) and Yuna (Summons as a meat shield, good with some battles, like Nemesis and few Dark Aeons. Very bad with some, like Penance, because the fight is all about perfect turn order management and you cannot die. Waste with most bosses, that won't do any "100% party wipe" big hits).
Also FYI, Break HP limit is kind of a waste. With right Armor setups and enough defensive stats, you cannot die in 1 hit from anything in the game, except attacks that would kill you anyways even if you had 99,999 HP.
Of course that's just how I see and do the end game farming, you might find many other ways to go by that suits you better :)

Characters that will take obscene damage. OD gauge scales based on amount of damage taken.
why do you need an underdeveloped character?
Comrade overdrive fills the gauge depending on the damage the ally takes in relation to his/her max HP. So low max HP and low defence stats = full overdrive to Wakka and Tidus on every hit, 100% guaranteed.
If all characters are fully developed before you start farming luck, no one will take much damage from counter attacks, and as their HP is high too, it also mitigates the Overdrive gain. You might not get full overdrive every turn.
Luck, Evasion, Accuracy dont need to maximum. Luck about 180 or more is ok. I dont build Eva, Acc (useless when against boss). Those Node just for HP reach max.
Where is your Break HP Limit?
Needing all stats 255 and wanting all stats 255 are 2 totally different things for a completionist ^_^
If you have maxed out stats with right armors: Auto Protect + Auto Haste always, and depending on fight, Ribbon + Auto-Phoenix (Dark Aeons), or Defence+20% + Auto Potion with X-Potions (Penance), then Break HP-Limit is literally the biggest waste you can have.
Even Penance can't kill you even once throughout the entire fight. Only things that can kill you at that point are attacks that would kill you anyways, even with 100k HP.

I don't understand why ur wakka is doing 99999 all time I have 255 str def magic def atm maxing luck but goes so so slow
Zero Resistance 99999 probably because of a very high luck stat and getting 100% crits. What i don't get is how the hydraulic press does so little damage. Even with 255 def and protect, my characters take huge amounts of damage. Tidus taking around 9000 and Wakka around 5000
@@homeyduh from what I have read hydrolic press does something like 11/12ths of a characters hp but can be reduced by defense buffs such as cheer and protect.

Magic Defense, I think that's all you need if I remember correctly. Like 220-255 of it to mitigate pretty much all of it.

Gary Whittington good, overdrive to AP doesn't work here, cause you need overdrive. You sure you have Comrade equiped on Tidus/Wakka? Only attack that doesn't give overdrive is Megaton Punch, because it doesn't do damage, it just kills.

It does, this is done on remastered version. Notice that Greater Sphere has different counters for normal attacks and limits.
It does seem to work for the Greater Sphere however it doesnt seem to work for Earth Eater. the megaton punch doesn't trigger Wakka's Comrade Overdrive for some reason?
earth eater needs 2 normal attacks from Wakka, then he falls and starts to counter with flare.
Of course assuming you have all other stats maxed before you start grinding luck.

Anyone else find it a bit sad that to beat any of these things you need to grind stats for a week to the point any reward you get becomes meaningless and the rest of the game completely trivial and boring? If not for the Perfect Grid Master Trophy no one would bother to do this in a game that can easily be conquered in less than 60 hours of casual play. I am doing it for the trophy and probably never play again...atleast for a long while.
It's a completionist thing, and it's not a requirement for finishing the game. Many JRPG's, especially Final Fantasys, has optional super bosses that requires you to grind more hours that what it take to beat the entire game. For me the grinding and the super bosses are a thing of love, I myself don't enjoy that much just running through the story, unless I'm speedrunning.
But I can understand that FFX endgame might be quite a bit too much for a person who doesn't like grinding, I just happen to love grinding, so I'm happy that it has optional stuff for my tastes.
For people who only wants to progress through the story, that's still a great option too. No need to go after ridiculous superbosses and afterwards trivialize the last boss of the story.
60? It only 20ish hours to finish the story.
@@thecelsano yeah but there is a lot more to the game then just the story, it takes much longer to do alllll the side quests, track down hidden items and earn ultimate weapons, and grind the monster arena to fill out the entire sphere grid for every character for the Grid Master trophy.

There are enough nodes on it to effectively max all stats and get 999mp and 99999hp you have to have 170 agility, 230 luck and 30 evasion, everything else can be 255 and that's basically the same as 255 in all stats. Which one is better depends on what you want to do, the expert grid allows you to change character paths early, whereas on the standard grid you're characters are locked into their roles for longer.
@@nekogod The expert grid has less nodes on it. Less nodes means more effort to max stats and also a slightly lower potential although the difference is not enough to stop you from killing anything in the game.
Regular grid is better I didn't use the expert grid for anything

Freaking Jim It's necessary for Dark Yojimbo and Dark Mindy, or you can't hit them at all. Other than that, high luck is mostly for ~100% critical hit chance to buff damage, and very high evasion.

Freaking Jim 230 is enough to have 100% crit chance against every monster in the game, still there' one enemy who you can't seem to even land a hit with 230 luck, Dark Mindy. If you hit her, it'll be a crit, but the problem is hitting her ;)
High luck is not needed at all to defeat dark aeons. Even Dark Yojimbo and Dark Mindy and Cindy. I defeated all Dark Aeons with my characters at 255 strength, 255 Defense, 180 magic (doesn’t need to be maxed at all) 255 Magic Defense, 170 agility(agility after 170 is pointless) 70 luck on my three main characters, and evasion and accuracy were around 150-180, evasion and accuracy don’t need to be maxed if you have around 80-100 luck. Now with those stats you will be able to beat practically all Dark aeons with ease EXCEPT yojimbo, Cindy, and mindy. For yojimbo you need to make sure you are having rikku comic hyper mighty g. And if you cast aim on your party 2-4 times you will be able to hit him practically every time. However make sure your main 3 are set at comrade overdrive mode because you want to use Wakkas attack reels a lot against yojimbo. For mindy and Cindy the only way you are going to be able to hit them with 70 luck is with overdrives but they are still quite easy. You can also damage them with holy for around 20,000-30,000 damage. Max luck is most certainly not needed to take on Dark aeons, max stats in general are not needed to fight them.
U need about 140 luck to Hit Yojimbo 100%. For Mindy u need around 204.
I remember I played on ps3 version. it tooks me 20 mins to kills the the 2nd guy and he drop only 1 luck sphere. I dont remember well, I think its only 1 luck spere per character.
Yes they drop only 1 sphere normally, but with Overkill they drop 2 spheres.

How do i increase characters damage to 99,999 with overdrives? I can never get above 20k-30k against the dark aeons
Max Strength, and enough Luck to have 100% Critical hits.
Still, multi hitting limits like Wakka's Reels or Tidus's Slice and Dice does have nerfed damage per hit, so depending on the enemy's defense, they might never reach 99,999 damage per hit.
With max stats you should hit 99,999 to most enemies though.
Ah, and of course, you need Celestial Weapons because they have the hidden power boost depending on your HP. Everyone else than Auron deals maximum damage when they are full HP, Auron deals more damage when he's low HP. So if for example Wakka is at 50% HP and you use Attack Reels, it won't do as much damage. With high defense enemies you should try to use limits at max HP.

@@gaiatrixgames I never use str +20%, I'm not even sure if it can go past 255 anyways, so it could possibly go to waste.
If I remember correctly, these were my ultimate armors to make all content "easy" with Quick Hits (I don't really use any overdrives to Dark Aeons, I Entrust all overdrives to Rikku's Mixes).
Dark Aeons:
Ribbon, Auto-Haste, Auto-Protect, Auto-Phoenix.
Dark Aeons have some attacks that just kills you whether you want it or not, so Auto Phoenix is better than -Potion. Just heal manually, you'll be fine.
Penance:
Auto-Haste, Auto-Protect, Defence+20%, Auto-Potion (Sell all potions that aren't full heal like X-potion).
With full stats + Auto-Protect + Def+20% + Rikku's Mixes (and Dispel unfortunately), Penance can't hit 9999 as long as you keep focusing the hands away, so that means that you don't need Auto Phoenix as you can not die (because of auto X-Potion). Also if you keep focusing the hands away, Penance can't deal any status effects, thus no need fot Ribbon.

I'm really tired of FFX. The grinding in this game is ridiculous. And you need to do that shit if you want to have a chance against the super bosses.
If you follow a guide on the internet and use some tricks here and there it isn't very hard. Trust me, I got the platinum on the HD version on PS3 and it wasn't that difficult.
