      Hello, thank you! Yes, I have some experience with XP. I'd say this particle system isn't quite as advanced as XP yet, but considering it's version 1, it's quite capable for most scenarios. I hope they continue to develop it further. Overall, it's a valuable addition

    awesome tutorial, thank you! I have one question: I am using the Mesh Emitter with a Model and surface attract. I set the strength really high. However, there are certain parts of the model, where the particles go through and don't stay on the surface.
    Also, can I tell them to keep a slight distance to the model?

    • @gillesdillenseger6472
      @gillesdillenseger6472  2 місяці тому

      Thanks ! Yes I noticed this aswell , using one surface attract even with a high value doesn't really Snap the particles to the surface,the only solution I found for now is applying the surface attractions twice , and maybe using a friction in conjonction can help a bit

      Hi, just a heads-up that the volume builder requires significant computational power. Pay attention to the scale of your scene-larger scenes will generate more voxels. Additionally, ensure you check the voxel size in the object's tab of the builder

    Hello! First of all, thank you for sharing this content. It is of value.
    I have a question, I have reached the point of caching all the groups. When I do this, the path of the particles changes. I have no idea why this happens. Do you have any solution so that I can cache my original route and not invent a new one? Thanks in advance!
    From what I see, the same thing has happened to you in your case. When you cache it, it traces another particle route for you.

    • @gillesdillenseger6472
      @gillesdillenseger6472  3 місяці тому +1

      Hey thanks for watching ! concerning the cache , you should get exactly the same paths after caching the particles. In my video I try different seeds for my emitters and maybe my editing does'nt make it so obvious. I just tried it on my scene and I get the exact same result after caching. The only difference being the particles or displayed smaller but the properties remain there. Do you cache the entire scene at once or are you caching the groups independently?

    • @chrismilla_1d34l7
      @chrismilla_1d34l7 3 місяці тому

      @@gillesdillenseger6472 Thanks for answering so quickly!
      No, I do it just like you. I save the scene.
      Pay attention to this. Your particles before saving the cache are different than when you have already saved the cache. They change the route. If you compare the scene after saving, it's clear that they match. I'm referring to the path you've been working on before saving. It is different. And that's what's happening to me.
      I suggest you try it and that way we clear up any doubts. Clear the created cache and check the result. You will see how it is different from the result with the cache. I hope it's not a bug in this version.
      Thank you!!
      I can send you a screenshot if you want. My original route before cache and after cache. It becomes very evident.

      Hey, sorry, you're right ! I rewatched my video, and yes, the routes are different. What's strange is that I retried baking with my file, and I did get the same routes... so strange, I have no idea what's causing this. I'm still trying to figure this out.

      @@gillesdillenseger6472 Yes. The problem exists. There is a difference before applying any cache and after doing so.
      It may be a bug in the version. Don't rule it out. I'm looking at alembic export settings. The problem may lie there.
      I don't know if you have tried clearing the cache to see the original routes. So you will see that the problem lies in the process of said cache
