Thanks for making videos in English for people like me!! I love mexican food but I've never been able to make it at home because there's certain ingredients I don't know and most channels do their recipes in Spanish. Maybe I should learn Spanish anyways lol :) thank you!
I always like to use la lechera and sugar but I also add the sweet cherries and I use the syrup in the jar that makes it more pink without the food coloring and pineapple with frozen strawberries and raisins too I never put coconut in it but now I'm definitely going to add that I love coconut and never even thought of it
Suggestion: instead of using water, use apple juice or any kind of juice you like that would compliment the tamales. I absolutely hate using water in my tamale recipes, no matter which kind I'm making, I always use broth. It's a huge difference in the masa.
just made these today! so good thank you! i substituted the lard for vegetable shortening and used fresh rasberries cause i had some and cherries & cranberries instead of raisins but followed your recipe. amazing & gluten free, dairy free, lactose free. thank you so much. Bendiciones muchisimas gracias!!
Thank you for your recipes!!!! My wife says your sweet tamales remind her of a friends from Chicago. If you ever need to unload a batch of tamales..... remember me!!!!!!
I personally like the colors of your xmas tree and the decorations on that little tree are really cute. This comment should mean a lot to you because I consider myself a manly man. But I can't deny the cuteness of your tree!
I love watching your cooking videos. I am Mexican , but there are some things I can't cook 😀 I don't have my mother-in-law around any more and she taught me so much. I don't have my grandmother's around either. So watching your videos gives me so many ideas, and my husband loves the outcome. I made sweet tamales last week for the first time!! He loved them. I am going to try your recipe, because the one I used had so much lard in them, but they were good. I like how yours only has a little bit of lard. Merry Christmas!!!
Know how you feel I am Mexican too born and raised morn American I didn't learn Spanish don't have my mom here anymore some of her children did learn Spanish I love Tamales sweet and chili one the sweet ones are harder for me to make if they don't come out right I give up and go buy from the store or someone that sell them on the street there are so some many on youtube with different recipes it hard to find one to follow but your seam to be easy I just don't like coconut but I know I can leave that out ill give your a try
One of many dishes I have not tried by myself.I love that you give the exact measurements. I definitely will try. Feliz Navidad y un Prospero Ano Nuevo...Mom of 5
+Teresa Baltazar You have to try it i recommend using strawberry pure, flavor improves a lot, but you will have to lower the water, regards to you and your kids!!
Mom use to make Sweet Tamales, but they contained pineapple instead. Thanks for sharing the recipe. I was wondering if you just leave out the coconut and raisins if the recipe can be switched out that way? Thanks
Thank you for another amazing video. Jessica can you email me please. I have a few questions for you. My husband and I are think about moving to Mexico.
Im so tired trees. They are so overplayed, and too traditional.. I want to put my presents under a giant dinosaur, penguin, elf, or giant santa.. 🤨.. my household are sticks in the mud.. they just want to stick to the tree.. seriously though, if you want a sweet tamale.. gotta make em yourself.: I cant find them at local places that sell them ❤️❤️❤️ hope your day is well
