  • This is the secret routine you need for getting runners legs without running at all. If you don't have a box to do step ups use a trunk, bench, sturdy chair, playground equipment, the side of your deck - make this step up routine work for you! If you are a runner, use this workout immediately after your run on easier endurance run days to increase your stamina without having to add additional mileage.

    Who would’ve thought such a simple workout in such little time would have me sweating so much! I’ve been running since I was 11 and this is PERFECT for helping me with some sticky points in my stride and hip mobility - thank you again so so much for sharing!

      Shauna, that's so special to hear from you having been a runner since you were in middle school! Be sure to save this to your youtube account so you can use it again and again (Max frequency 2 x per month). : )

      @@glowbodypt all over it! Btw, I loved the uplifting messages interspersed within the workout- I walked away feel good physically and spiritually. On a different note, this workout came up at the end of my workout yesterday so I did it as a finisher and - oh my- my calves and hip flexors are so sore today!!

    Love this one! I’m 27 weeks and have been doing it once a week subbing another round of step ups for the box hops. Curious the next time your cardio series will be coming out of the vault 😊 would like to get it to have for after the 12 week post plan. ❤

    Just finished this workout 😅 honestly, I needed to run today (training for a half), but I just didn’t have the motivation to get out and do it. Opened my phone as a means of procrastinating during nap time, and there sat a new Glowbody PT email in my inbox…I took it as a sign to get up and get moving 😊I used an old sturdy nightstand as my box. Substituted the box jumps with explosive squat jumps because the nightstand was higher than I could safely jump 😅 those split lunges at the end were 🔥🔥! Off to do some of the exercises from “Booty Finisher 3” and “Hips and Hamstring mobility”, then I’ll call it a day. Thanks for what you put into these workouts, Ashley, they are truly lifesavers!

      Amanda, you're such an inspiration and I couldn't be more grateful that you shared the honest naptime procrastination moment and how you FLIPPED IT AROUND. Using a sturdy nightstand must have been so challenging. Props to you on the 10 Minute Plan while you're training for a half right now, good choice.

    Ashley thank you for your 'out of the box' (pun intended😁), simple, challenging workouts! Every time! Thank you for your intentional choice to have your children seen and heard in your videos and never ever being ashamed to share your faith! This Box Step Up Workout was SIMPLE, yet I was sweating and could feel my muscles burn!! Lastly, I have a confession...I began the workout using a chair and quickly realized the metal table in front of me was a more fitting height compared to your box. I had just finished the first step ups on both sides. I paused, cleared the table excited and ready to continue this challenge...and then you jumped. 😲hahahaha!! I pulled the chair back out and completed the workout with my chair. Even jumping up onto the chair was a challenge for me, but it was a mind challenge. I was afraid. I took a minute, encouraged myself, and did it. I have a new goal: The ability to jump up on my metal table or something of similar height! I grew a little this morning from the challenge of finding the courage to jump onto my chair. "Do hard things" :)

I’m completely motivated and committed to finish it all the way through this time 🙏 I also watched the video where you explain what to do if I miss any days. So I’m good to go now! If I made it 6 weeks last time I know I will make it the full 12 this time ☺️ also side note: you are the role model I need in my life and just wanted to let you know, I’m grateful to have you!

    I can not wait to do this after my baby is born in early May and I’ve done the postpartum plan! I will do it alongside the 10 minute plan (which before my current 5th pregnancy got me into the best shape of my life!)
    Running is hard for me both from a time perspective (I can’t take all five kids with me in a stroller anymore) and also a condition I have that affects my gait while running, I’m always super hesitant to do too much in case of injury. So, if I were to do this completely in place of running because of these circumstances, how many times a week or month do you recommend doing it?

    • @glowbodypt
      @glowbodypt  Рік тому

      Rachel, congrats on expecting your 5th. I GET IT that you can't take 5 kids out and how hard that can be. That's why I made the Cardio Series honestly- same problem in this house. : ) You should do this 2 x monthly because it's intense and super effective -- but I don't wan you over-training and getting into the gray-zone of over-use/injury.

    • @glowbodypt
      @glowbodypt  Рік тому

      Hi Naseem, this is a Rogue box -- all 3 sides have different heights so I mix it up and it can fit all different size women. But you can use any sturdy chair, playground equipment, bench, steps, anything you have at home! : )

    Hey Ash! When is this recommended? Can it be done 1st or 2nd trimester? 10 minute plan or just when you reach the Cardio series/LFSP? Also, where did you get or box, or if you made it, how so?
    Thank you! ❤

    • @glowbodypt

      Hope, this must be you! I hope I'm right because I'm guessing with the H. : )
      PREGNANT:
      This is pregnancy-safe through week 20 (if you are someone who has been staying fit on my Free Prenatal Program). *Avoid if you have SPD, PGP, or any other undiagnosed pain.
      POSTPARTUM:
      Reserve this workout until you complete the 12 Week Post Pregnancy Plan so you can maximize recovery of your pelvic floor hammock before applying this level of plyometric intensity. I know you're excited, but I promise it'll be worth the wait!
      Casual Runners: Use this post-run after an easy jog every-other week.
      Advanced Runners: Use this after a hard run at least once per month but no more than 4 x per month. The key is to play in that gray area of getting really fast…but not getting an over-use injury.
      IF YOU ARE NOT RUNNING:
      Use as a stand-alone 17 minute workout after a brief 3 minute warm up. Or, use as a finisher after heavier, compound lifts. Super easy to work this into the 10 Minute Plan (Max frequency: every other week).
