Went pretty smooth until enrage near the end, I ran out of stamina to hold aggro, grapple, block attacks, counter, and use skills... RIP! Fun battle, my 2nd time fighting this boss. Could probably record a perfect run, but it's nice to show some deaths and boss damage. 4:39 Shield Jump to drag boss down.
Sphinx is weak to holy, so I just buffed everyone's weapons with holy element. Counter-attack is also good and it can slowly build up aggro. I did some team attacks with Yami where he launched me into the air with shield, that was cool.

This actually looks quite enjoyable. Also I like how the boss showed physical damage over time (it looked bloody and beaten up near the end)...a lot of games don't do that...especially MMOs.
It did in its original game Dragons Dogma

This game changed my life, I shit you not. The gameplay mechanics and how it's done. How you're able to climb the damn monsters. It's great! I loved this game so much.

love that the animations still have that fluidity to them.
I feel she shouldn't bite tho (then again i don't know much about sphinx) but maybe a song or scream attack similar to the harpies, sirens and succubi
I feel like the claw attacks should be the only physical attacks she does (or one of few)

fianle I dont know the exact numbers but i think dragons dogma and dark arisen made pretty good sales figures. Thats why its so weird that they dont wanna bring this to the west. Maybe they are testing their home market first to see how people recieve it but japan is know for loving MH type games, and this is pretty much MH.

As someone who loved and still loves Dragons Dogma, i wonder will this game be good... and of course what has changed between DD and he online version.
Im freaking excited to see the sphinx is being brough back for DD2 and it looks gorgeous,i hope they salvage more creature concepts from DDO and flesh them out.

Even though I'm an insane fan of dragon's dogma...
I have to say this is not very attractive to me... so sad
Maybe it is just me... but what attracts me most is not the action system( of course, great action design is the second most attractive thing of DD), but is the story and music.
Somehow, after playing dragon's dogma, you feel something... it is really hard to describe what you feel...just you feel something inside you is calling.
When you fall through gran soren's hole, when your pawn calling you name in the end, when you face Daemon...the scene, the music...I don't know how to express what this game brought me, really

What you're feeling is potential it's like finding solid bedrock to build a house on top of. The first game had so much of it that a second dd game would be something to behold and this just seems like the first game with online elements a second game should add more vocations species and sort out those creepy npc character models. Oh and get rid of that cringy ye olde speak

This game looks perfect gameplay-wise, and it looks like it's got no visual / noise pollution, like Black Desert has (of course BD has much better graphics and a nice gameplay, but still...).
Edit: Also, this class is amazing, it's like a mix of tank and support, my favorite kind! ;D

Although, ultimately, you'll have to choose between one another to spend most of your time, if you don't have enough time for both.
So far this MMO seems the most perfect one i've ever seen yet.
Combat that requires actual skill, enemy patterns, enemy behaviors changing, interesting classes.
I just hope the ranged classes have to aim.
Bosses seem pretty fun to fight in a party, but if it's a world boss, i can already see a whole guild of 40+ members fighting it, where it would only be another button masher combat without much strategy involved.
As a player that always likes to play alone for challenge reasons, this game makes me want to join a random group! But i don't know about guilds...
If guild content was about beating things like 5-7 bosses at the same time (having to beat them in certain order or having to decrease their health together if possible), it would be great.
KASUwonderlandOnline Play the Dragons Dogma dark arisen to see what the gameplay is gonna be like. Its the best combat system in any rpg. And DD was never really about fighting things in massive groups. I don't think it will be like other mmorpg's in that aspect.
If this were released in the states in complete english dub, I'd drop Final Fantasy: Stormblood in a heart beat.

As a fan of DD I can say that I am so looking forward to this! My only fear is that the greatsword user wont had that Amazing and beautiful Arc of Deliverance that smashed everything in the ground with such satisfying effects

I really wish they would've made a stand-alone sequel to Dragon's Dogma instead making it an online game...but, it is Capcom, so I'm sure the only thing going through their collective mind was how they could monetize the title through micro-transactions.

Ultima Heartless That was my fear too. I really enjoyed DD. I had a strong attachment to that game. In my opinion, there were only a few flaws. The complete removal of the pawn system eliminates one problem (pawns wouldn't shut up) but at the same time, I loved the pawn system. I guess true blue multiplayer replaces that. But I will miss my pawn.
I'm sure they'll keep many elements from the original. Combat seems to be on par with DD despite being an MMO (MMOs usually have greatly watered down combat). But I hope they don't alter the flow of combat too much from the original. It doesn't look like they did. So I have hopes for this game.

I wonder why Yami hasn't made any videos of this. I hope this game gets a better soundtrack too. Oh, Step knows Japanese. The combat in this against monsters definitely looks more fun than Black Desert Online which is sad.

Nice, long harder battles at lvl 15-16 already shows how awesome this game can be. But i was wondering as it didn't appear in any of your videos yet, is there a 2H(Sword, Axe or Hammer) Warrior type class or a Thief/Assassin one?

They should of just called it a MANTICORE rather than a sphinx since the sphinx is always depicted with a crown and lion body
That is the Egyptian version. In the videogame they use the Greek mithology as inspiration for all bosses in the game. So this is the Greek version.

that is not Manticore, manticore has a Scorpion Tail, & lion features , this is more of a great Harpy type of beast,, also look at the Guardian boss from Dark souls 1 dlc, that is a Manticore
yeah this is a different, more like a female Manticore version of it, I know the myth from the manticore supposedly comes from Afghanistan , but this Sphinx seems like something out of Greek myth

It looks similar. I don't see any problem with it, square made an amazing job with the UI in FFXIV so I don't see any problem with other companies taking inspiration from it.
