I just installed sc project slip on, Garbo decat map on my 21 rsv4 and followed your video to remove the charcoal canister. Now I finally can see the bike aprilia designed for.
I have had oft stage2 on my 2019 Tuono factory for about 3k miles now and it has been great (more power then the Aprilia Race map for sure). I will actually be installing stage3 (RSV4 air box) in about a week 😎
Very nice! My Tuono RR had the Stage 2 map as well and it was noticeably punchier than my Factory is. It crossed my mind to unpair the OFT and repair it to my Tuono Factory, but I never got around to it. 😅
You forgot guzzidiag/Iawdiag reader writer. Best part about that is its free... after purchasing a set of cables. TuneEcu as well. Open flash, Gabro, and Brentune all use modifications of the Aprilia race map, just altered and fine tuned.
I totally forgot GuzziDiag… I was not aware TuneECU worked for the newer Aprilias though. That’s good to know! I’ve had good experience with it and Triumphs.
You’ve got the CR-T? It doesn’t sound as obnoxious as everybody says. I’ve wanted the CRT or S1 but everyone says they’re ridiculously loud. The SC1-R seems like it’s got that sound but not deafening. From your video the CRT seems totally reasonable. Would you say that’s true?
@@chillznax my mic does not accurately capture the volume. The CR-T is much louder than the video makes it seem. I actually ended up buying an SC1-R last year and am so glad I did. Still has a similar tone without the baffle in place but isn't as deafening as the CR-T on longer rides. Chad, a very clear explanation of Aprilia tuning solutions. Have you had that phone call yet from Mr Puig at HRC after your recent race victory ? Are you going to COTA on April 10th ? It will be absolutely brilliant but something will be missing if MM is not riding as he is soooooo good there. I have just ordered a new 2022 MT10SP and hope to have it by July '22. Take care.

I started a new job a few weeks ago and also have some other exciting life events in the works that prevented me from taking the time off and paying for accommodations. It will no doubt be strange if Marc is unable to compete. I'm still waiting for some good news, but I would be a little surprised if he makes Argentina. That was the biggest highside I have ever seen. Here is wishing him a speedy recovery. Keeping my fingers crossed he starts seeing normally again very soon. Congrats on the new bike! If you take your bike to a Dyno tuner, do you need an aftermarket programming tool installed on the bike or do dyno tuners now directly update the ECU?
It depends on your tuner, but the ECU can be directly remapped with the right software without the need for a piggyback fuel module like a Power Commander.
Even with the Race ECU it still jutters a bit down there. Hopefully Gabro will be able to het you sorted! I have generally only heard good things about them.
Yeah I agree. I went with the Race ECU from AF1/Akra Slip-on. It improved a little bit but it's still jittery for the most part.. I find touring to be the smoothest. I'm debating getting a upmap + gabro flash but I can't really find anyone specifically saying it improves these issues or showing it. Dunno if I want to drop another $600-700 for something I basically already have. :\
@@kcd1757 that’s my thought as well. I don’t commute often and have gotten used to the lurchiness at low rpm, so while it isn’t ideal, I can live with it.

Learning the hard way this bike is not a commuter bike ;( I previously had a 2016 R6 that was smooth as butter and easy to ride slow. I may get a second bike just for commuting. Looking at the triumph street triple 765rs (which has a similar powerband to the R6 but better ergo) or a yamaha T7 which can lug around at slow speeds all day. I commute here in socal mainly on the 405 if anyone reading is wondering why I want to ride a motorcycle slow. 😭
@@GurpreetSingh-dp2sc I was going to say that in its heart the TV4 is a track weapon, not a commuter. Below 44 km/h it just cuts off the fuel so you have to play with the clutch in slow traffic. I'm glad I don't have to ride in congested streets or roads, we have hardly any traffic anywhere and lots of twisties 😀 The bad thing is that the riding season is just 7 months or so.

Gabro or OpenFlash also have solid off-the-shelf maps that can be installed with their tuning tablets at home, and will net you a few hp along with an aftermarket exhaust.

Hey Aleks! I typically disable both for wheelies. AWC will bring the front wheel back down pretty quickly even on 1, and ATC will also intervene occasionally with ATC on as well. I have been able to do some with ATC on 1 and 2, but after having it cut out a couple times I decided it works best with ATC off.
@@aleks4923 I can’t speak from experience with the 2021 and 22 bikes, but I have found that AWC 1 and ATC 1-4 give good acceleration for my bike. I run my bike on ATC 1 unless I’m doing wheelies, but I’m on Supercorsa TDs which are a very sticky DOT track tire. If the stock tires are Rosso IIIs on your bike like they were on my old RR, I would recommend starting on a higher setting and working your way down. It kicks in a lot on 8 in my experience, but try it out and see how it feels. If you feel like it’s kicking in too often, turn it down a setting and try again. Repeat until you feel comfortable. 🙂

I am not going to make it out for MotoGP this year unfortunately. I started a new job a few weeks ago and also have some other exciting life events in the works that prevented me from taking the time off and paying for accommodations. I have a RSV4 with the race ECU map. But I’ve been considering getting a different flash. Can anyone recommend a good place in Southern California?

The maps are Road / Sport / Track according to the manual in the EU/UK - is that different in the US?

I have 21 tuono v4 base , for hard acceleration what is best setting ? with out to disable AWC , ATC.
I have Aprilla racing map install, Leo Vince exhaust , K&N air filter.
