Hey, Thanks for watching the video. I did forget to mention that I ran the tires in 2WD as much as possible to see what I could get out of them and then in 4X4 after that.
@@ombahubali8896 They are very smooth riding. Considering they are an all terrain tire. I was surprised. Not sure about the fuel efficiency, I didn't really keep an eye on that. Hope this helps. Thanks!
I have been putting these on all my trucks for about 10 yrs now…F150s, Chevy 2500 diesels, and ford rangers and even the wife’s little suv…My 2 wheel drive rangers do pretty good in light mud or snow now. They are great on the highway, don’t hurt your gas mileage, but have enough aggressive tread for your basic off-road or bad weather… seem to last a long time at a reasonable price … even the E load version has been good on the diesels that tow a trailer almost every day. They even did well in a Florida rainstorm from hell when on vacation In Orlando.
Just put a set of these on my Frontier, same year as your Pathfinder, and I used to own a 2000 Pathfinder as well. I know that vehicle inside and out and how it compares to what I drive today, so your review is really relevant and helpful.
One gets the impression that these tires are a milder sort of All Terrain, in order to be better behaved for lots of paved road use, but still some offroading. When I get AT's for my Tacoma, it will probably be this tire.
I got 4. They are super smooth. I use them in South lake Tahoe Commutes to Ski resort's . Not a heavy snow off road tire. But super smooth and will take care of you in bad weather.
@Matt Barz Yeah, Super smooth on road. Plenty capable off road. I'd say they shine on ice more than in snow. South Tahoe huh? I learned to ski at Diamond Peak!
Good to know. I was just in Tahoe this weekend with my OEM Hankooks on my Frontier. 2 flats in 24 hours - only 24K on them, too! Replacing them for sure, and I'm all but certain Ill be going with Geolandars.
@@tjancijr Sorry to hear about your flats. That'll put a damper on a Tahoe weekend real quick. I think you'll enjoy the Geolanders. Did you get some spring riding in?
I just purchased Yokohama Geolander AT G015 225/65 17 for my wife's Jeep Renegade Trailhawk before the recent snowstorm in Washington state. They have great traction in rain, snow, and on icy roads. The tries also work well on the muddy back roads after the snow thawed. I purchased the Geolanders for their severe winter ability and to keep traction on a winding 1/4 mile gravel road going up a mountain. They have done both exceptionally! Falken Wildpeak AT3s on my truck are better in mud but not as good in the snow and ice compared to the geolander ATs.
@J M I agree 100% I had Wildpeaks on my Silverado and they crushed it in the mud, but not so much on ice. The Geolanders are great on ice and snow. Thanks!
I just ordered them. I was for Cooper AT3 or BFG AT KO2 but they recommended me Yokohama. I drive a Rav4 1999 on agricultural land and I was told these were better for me. Actially the tyres shop owner has now Coopers but he told me he preferes Yokohamas. So here we go.
Have them on my FJ Cruiser after Terra Grappler G2, far better on road and off road, better ride and less noise and also better on mud than Terra Grappler.
Here’s a quick six month review of them on my 99 Forrester in the Pacific Northwest . Excellent on the road in the rain. I am baffled by the hydroplaning comments I’ve heard but who am I to doubt their experience. Off-road and in mud I have been very pleased. Took them on a forest road last week on snow that was a bit slushy and I’ must say I was kind of disappointed they didn’t perform better.
I can confirma lot of what others and you said. I got squirrely in rain, they were marginal in slush. Great off road but not meaningfully better than modern MT on the highway. Just not quite there for me.
You actually went on something more challenging than a gravel road like most other “reviews”. And good on you for using the Pathfinder off-road! How do you feel they do in mud? Looking forward to the follow up in mud !!!
@Jeremy Johnson Thanks! I pushed them as mush as I felt comfortable with. I got into some mud and they did ok. Not great but not bad. Some of the mud filled up the groves in the tire but they still retained enough grip for me to get around. My next tire review video is going to get it with my '92 Bronco on Goodyear Wrangler Duratracks.
This was the first review i found on youtube and i live in northern nevada. Very excited to test these on my Jeep. I'm stepping down a bit from my used mud/snow goodrich tires that wore down bad. I wanted something to put up with my bs. Living in NV, offroad exploring and snow is our playground. But it gets serious quick if you dont have the right equipment. Seeing yours power through the mud is reassuring, though I do wish the sidewall was more aggressive like my current tire. The white lettering looks cool though and ultimately I needed a serious offroad capable tire, that i could tolerate on my daily 1hr highway drive. Lets hope 60k goes smooth 🙏🏻 thanks for your review! 😁
I run these on my Toyota Landcruiser, Iv been running them since 2010 , i have had no trouble at all. Iv been to Cape York twice, around Australia , off road and black top, no issues at all.
Not sure but it looks like the set of tires used in the test were the P metric version, the pics shown along with the specs were the LT version. It would be better to show specifically what tires are being tested. The LTs have larger tread voids and are a bit better in mud. I have G015s on my Jeep Compass, LT235/75r15's, and generally speaking I think they are good tires. They are particularly fun to drive in snow and do well on ice also. I have found that occasionally they do slip sideways on wet pavement in cool weather, it's a controllable slide and they will stop fine in a straight line, but it is unsettling. I suspect it is related to the Compass being a light vehicle compared to the weight rating of these LTs.
Thank you so much! Great video, great review. Sure makes my decision easier. You also seem very personable and your narration keeps my attention. Thanks man!
These are the tires I have been looking for my 2010 diesel ford F350. Did consider the Cooper discover APT2 but too many rocks get caught in the tires because of the design of the tire tread.

@Knolys Johnson Thanks! It was a fun video to make. The tires were pretty smooth over 65 mph. I think the highest I got them to was about 85 and still plenty smooth.
I have 97 QX4 base as your pathfiner older version, I gonna need new tire soon before winter come. I live north Oregon, so I drive on winter a lot, so really focus on dry/wet/winter performance, but not really try to drive on mud. how was G015 handle at snow/ice road?
i want to be ready for an off road site close to my house and it looks a lot like where you tested those tires. I want something a little more aggressive than the falken a/ts. @danielnation9123 Thanks! I would buy again for sure. I sold the pathfinder about a year after this review so I wasn't able to get a final milage on the tires.
I've had these on several vehicles, including a 2000 pathfinder, a 2007 pathfinder, a 97 4runner, did extensive offroad in souther CA in the desert, I've done they do extremely well on sand and rocks, they a quite on hwy, get high miles, they do have a 50k mile warranty. They do well in wet and snow, but ice they do ok. For the price, they're an excellent tire, I prefer these ATs over BFGOODRICH Baja series. They ride better and perform better. I'm about to buy them for my 3/4 T diesel.
Update, I had them put on my 2019 ram 2500, and they ride absolutely fantastic. They ride super smooth, and quite, I've had them in water already and nothing but 5 star
@@autovice I rented one of their jeeps and took it up Gemini Bridges trail in Moab. No problems. Two years later I drove the same trail in a rented Ram with Goodyears and cut a tire on a sharp rock. Learned a lot about tires on that trip.
@AutoVice 2 years later, how are you liking these? Wed be putting them on my wife’s 2021 4Runner. We don’t go off-roading; it would mainly be for looks, to go along with the RR7 wheels we’re getting, but we do drive in snow a few times a year, and might hit some gravel/dirt roads once in a while. We’ve heard they’re pretty quiet on the expressway, which is something we want. Basically we’re looking for a tire that will be a bit more aggressive in looks and snow performance than the highway-biased Bridgestones that came on the truck.
@John Pifer I think you'll really like these tires. They are smooth and quiet but also do great in snow and rain. I don't have the Pathfinder anymore, but the tires did great while I had it. They didn't wear down much, so they do last a while. I hope you enjoy them! Thanks
@@autovice Ended up ordering a set of these today for my 2007 Tacoma. I had run 3 sets of Michelin Defender LTX/LTX M/S 2, and just wanted to try something different, even though I objectively know that the LTX’s are the better highway tire, and have a better warranty (70K vs. 60K). I do think the G015’s will be a little better in snow. We ended up deciding to wait and wear out the tires on the 4Runner before buying a different set.
@Anwar Nishil Ismail I didn't change the tire pressure at all. I kept it at the recommended psi from the manufacturer. I cant remember what it was, but around 35 I think.
Had these tyres since October 225/55R18 on new Subaru Forester Hybrid. Only done 2,000Km mainly off-road and stone puncture. Currently trying Reklamation with Yokohama Germany. So disappointed.
@Chris Miles I had the Wildpeaks on my Chevy Silverado. I really liked them. My only knock on them is that I felt like they wore down really fast. They did ok in the snow and ice but I think these Geolanders did better on snow and ice. But I feel like the Wildpeaks did better off road on dirt and mud than the Geolanders. Tough call. I think it depends on the conditions you are going to be driving in. And the car/truck you are putting them on. I hope this helps.
@Victor Pregun Tamelos Hola! Yo las tenia a 35psi en la calle. Pero en off road le bajo un poquito, mas o menos 20 a 25. Para que tenga mejor grip. Gracias amigo!
@Kee-Von I think these are perfect for what you are looking for. More aggressive, but great mileage and they are smooth and pretty quiet for highway driving.

@Jeremy Pleso Thats a good question. They have been great for me in snow and overall winter conditions. But I would recommend checking with a local tire expert.
@@autovice fantastic, I feel way more confident off road I just tested them out on a icey snow trail here in the PNW and they blew me away, my last tires where a pair of worn-out all seasons to say the least it's an improvement.

@Ramiro Anguiano Honestly, I can't say for sure. I mean you can put any tire you want on anything if you try hard enough. LOL. But it would probably depend on size availability. In all seriousness, I would check with a local tire shop.
You said they were good but you would have liked to see a more aggressive tread and more siping...that would have made them a more off road/snow biased tyre that wouldn't have been as good on the road or in the wet...then you wouldn't have liked them so much..they would have been a worse tyre...that's why manufacturers spend millions on r and d.
@David Tebbit And money well spent on these tires in my opinion. You're right, what makes them so great is how nice they are on road, but it comes at the expense of being more aggressive. I just would have liked a more aggressive look, especially on the side wall. It would look great and have a little more bite on the side wall. Just my thoughts. Thanks for your comment!
@@autovice thanks for getting back to me, Canadian winters are a bitch but I really don't want to have to get new rims and Winters if I can just use all terrains on my SUV.
Good review 👍. I really wanted to test them on my Toyota Hilux but I'm really impressed and satisfied with the BF Goodrich AT KO2s that I'm afraid to test other tires...
I had these a few years ago on a Silverado 1500. Not sure if these are improved but hands down the worst tire I ever had. Absolutely could not keep them balanced and finally a mechanic friend saw I had a broken belt which the tire shop never found. Tread gone in 30k miles and 2 years use. The traction in mud was disappointing. Very prone to punctures, 3 were patched /plugged. These were truly the only bad experience I've ever had with any tires. Maybe I got a bad run or something.
AutoVice they really don’t get the traction you want in the rain on cement they just spin in the dirt and grass, but they are quiet on the road though but I honestly wouldn’t trust these tires at all in the snow let alone to go somewhere off the beaten path got these tires with my truck they are brand new tires buying real tires soon getting some delicious 275/65/18 cooper discoverer atp best tires iv ever had in my life if you want the most bang for your buck go with coopers discoverers atp or the At3 I actually liked these better then the bfg ko2s
I’ve been doing as much research as possible but, it’s narrowed down to these and Falken Wildpeaks. I’m leaning more towards these just because Road noise, snow and rain are my biggest needs. I feel these will be a little bit better then the falkens. Just a little bit. While the falkens would probably be a little bit better off-road.
@@whalehands Funny you should mention the falken wild peaks. I had a set of those on my silverado. They are good tires. They look a lot better than the geolanders. I didn't get a chance to take them off roading but i remember them doing well all around. My only gripe with the wild peaks is that they wore out fast on me.
I got the Falkens. They were my second choice. I think they look better than the Yoko’s but, I was more worried about ride quality. But, the little town tire shop was trying to dick me around on price for them. Went from $607 to $780. Then when I said “nah bra, this is what you quoted me.”. He then started lowering the prices. I went to Walmart and they couldn’t even get the tires. So I just got the Falkens for $150 a piece. The service was good and fast. Have to get my alignment done before I have a premature wear again.

Awesome video, curious do you have any roughness when drivng with these tries above 65 mph on the highway?
@Knolys Johnson Thanks! It was a fun video to make. The tires were pretty smooth over 65 mph. I think the highest I got them to was about 85 and still plenty smooth.
I have 97 QX4 base as your pathfiner older version, I gonna need new tire soon before winter come. I live north Oregon, so I drive on winter a lot, so really focus on dry/wet/winter performance, but not really try to drive on mud.
how was G015 handle at snow/ice road?
@Jonathan Ho These are great on snow and ice. some of the best A/T for snow and ice in my opinion.
i want to be ready for an off road site close to my house and it looks a lot like where you tested those tires. I want something a little more aggressive than the falken a/ts. Thanks a lot for the review in pretty serious conditions. Wish you talked a little bit about other tires you have previous experience with. will look for your other videos about it thank you.
@PeterJames143 Thanks for the support! I hope you enjoy them. Hopefully I can gen another tire review done soon.
We're you in 4 wheel drive all the time???
Heading to Yokohama now thanks man!
@Jomel Dem Dayo Right on, I hope they work out for you. Enjoy!
For essentially what is a minivan tire I'm pretty impressed.
@James My thoughts exactly. LOL.
@@autovice have you by chance driven in snow or on ice? How do they compare to other tires you had on snow and ice?
@@thatdudeinblackshoes
I saw a Subaru probably a 2020 with them Yokohama G015 doing trails, off-road and he has Washington plates , I’m pretty sure he gets snow, rain and ice
I think it's more the size 225-255 wide do great digging in mud to find solid ground. 285-315 wide with the same tire you would be stuck. Can almost guarantee it IMHO 🤷🏻
Great vid.. would you buy the again. How many miles did you get?
@RIPPENxWHISKEY Right on. That's a lot of tires!
Canyonlands Jeep Rentals in Moab puts Geolanders ONLY on all their Jeeps.
@kingstonsean They must have a lot of confidence in these tires. I can see why.
@@autovice I rented one of their jeeps and took it up Gemini Bridges trail in Moab. No problems. Two years later I drove the same trail in a rented Ram with Goodyears and cut a tire on a sharp rock. Learned a lot about tires on that trip.
@@kingstonsean Lol. That's a real good way to learn about tires.
@kingstonsean do you know what size they put on them?
Thanks
@@autovice Thanks! Great review.
@@johnmpifer How do you like the G015s so far (and compare to your LTX/LTX M/S 2)?
@@sunset3052No issues with them.
Great tires.
Perform as expected.
Whats the tyre pressure you used for off-roading vs bitumen
@Anwar Nishil Ismail I didn't change the tire pressure at all. I kept it at the recommended psi from the manufacturer. I cant remember what it was, but around 35 I think.
@@autovice impressive with 35 psi off-road
Have you ever tried a dextero tire🧐 just curious the difference?
@cbeetem I haven't tries those. Maybe I'll take a look at them for my next set. Thanks!
Thanks so much for sharing. This will be the set of tires that I want to replace with.
@sunset3052 Thanks! I'm glad the video helped. I hope you enjoy them.
Had these tyres since October 225/55R18 on new Subaru Forester Hybrid. Only done 2,000Km mainly off-road and stone puncture. Currently trying Reklamation with Yokohama Germany. So disappointed.
@Steven Wood That's a bummer! I hope you get your money back.
I just seen another UA-cam video these vs bfg atK2 in snow and these seemed to have the same problem in snow in that video
@Dustin Sellen A side by side comparison with the atK2? I haven't seen it. Do you have the link? I'm curious now.
@@autovice ya let me look
ua-cam.com/video/XlUBsJg74T0/v-deo.html
I'm probably going to go with the BFG AT KO2.
@@StrapDLBStyle that's a totally different tire, more highway tread than the G015.
I’m debating between these tires or staying with Falken Wildpeaks. What’s your opinion?
@Chris Miles I had the Wildpeaks on my Chevy Silverado. I really liked them. My only knock on them is that I felt like they wore down really fast. They did ok in the snow and ice but I think these Geolanders did better on snow and ice. But I feel like the Wildpeaks did better off road on dirt and mud than the Geolanders. Tough call. I think it depends on the conditions you are going to be driving in. And the car/truck you are putting them on. I hope this helps.
I had Falken Wildpeaks on my Tacoma and a good tire, but they wear out fast.
Getting a set for my GMC Sierra. Good video
@ 31 31 Thanks! Enjoy the tires.
I have a heavy foot is this a good tire that dosent make noise when picking up the speed on city / highway ?
I'd say they are pretty smooth and quiet considering they are all terrains. Some noise of course but not bad in my opinion.
Are those p or lt rated? I just got the exact same ones on the exact same vehicle and the guy recommended lt
@Jacobus Visser I got the passenger rated version. My tire shop also recommended it. What did you get, P or LT?
Hey, how is the fuel consumtion on the road vs normal tyre ? Thank you !
@feketestefan Honestly, I didn't keep track of any MPG changes.
Que presion minima aconsejas en medida 215 70r16
@Victor Pregun Tamelos Hola! Yo las tenia a 35psi en la calle. Pero en off road le bajo un poquito, mas o menos 20 a 25. Para que tenga mejor grip. Gracias amigo!
Would these work on a 2wd Frontier? I do a lot of highway driving but want something that looks a little more aggressive.
@Kee-Von I think these are perfect for what you are looking for. More aggressive, but great mileage and they are smooth and pretty quiet for highway driving.
Ciao una domanda, quante miglia po' fare ?grazie
Gracias por compartir el video m, acabo de ponerle a mi frontier 2018 un juego completo 265 75 16, i just put on my truck l, and as you said, i’d like it to have a more agresisive look, but They look pretty well ,let’s see how they work ! saludos
@carloswowheels3621 Gracias amigo. I hope you enjoy them.
Hi, 215/70/R16 Yokohama Geolander A/T G015 or General Grabber AT3?
@Camper Duster Oh man! I dunno. I've never tried the General Grabbers. What do you think?
These tires vs BFG k02 in road noise?
@Cristian Perez BFG ko2 is the benchmark for true off road performance in my opinion, but for quiet road noise and smooth ride? Geolander all day.
How have they held up? Looking at getting some next winter. I live in Northern Manitoba & we get insane amounts of snow and ice for a solid 5 months
@halmrkcrdz2 So far so good. I haven't had any issues. Manitoba? Is that in Canada?
@@autovice thanks, & ya it's in Canada. I live not too far south of the arctic in a small town so driving anywhere outside of town can be pretty scary in winter with my current car & tires
Love these tires I'm running them on my 04 f250 superduty
@Mike Figiel Oh wow. I didn't realize they could handle so much weight! Super smooth tires for A/T's, huh?
@@autovice love them super smooth running next to no sound on the highway
Jak sie spisuje zima ta opona?
How is it in snow? Does it slide alot during brakes?
@Giorgi Gachechiladze Honestly these tires have done great for me. They feel solid and planted in snow and ice. Not as good as dedicated winter tires obviously, but really good for all terrain tires. I hope that helps.
@@autovice thank you , thats what I thought
what is this song? sounds like one of the guitar riffs donut media puts in their title card intro ... open source?
@Three Five It's music I get off a site called Epidemic Sound. It's a monthly membership for royalty free music. Donut Media probably uses the same service. I notice we use a lot of the same songs. I can get the name for you. Are you referring to the first song in the video or the second?
@@autovice no, it's all good. just funny to hear it!
If I'm 80-90% 45-65mph highway with occasional 1-5" snowfall in the winter, are these tires for me? If not, what do you recommend?
@Jeremy Pleso Thats a good question. They have been great for me in snow and overall winter conditions. But I would recommend checking with a local tire expert.
how is the noise level?
@pk9394racing They are surprisingly quiet for being all terrains.
Great video, thanks! Now I want those tires on my Rogue/X-Trail t32 2016 :D Greetings from Norway!
@Andy HouseCity All the way from Norway?! Greetings to you as well sir, from Reno Nevada! Glad you liked the video.
Are these in SL or E?
very nice video, useful. Thank you for upload it!
@Luca Molinari Thanks! I'm glad you liked it.
Just got these on my 2001 Rav4
@Chad Hansen Right on! How do you like them?
@@autovice fantastic, I feel way more confident off road I just tested them out on a icey snow trail here in the PNW and they blew me away, my last tires where a pair of worn-out all seasons to say the least it's an improvement.
I bet they are under-rated, but they look more like mall-terrain’s. Not much more aggressive looking than most factory tires.
LOL. mall-terrains. I haven't heard that one before. Yeah, they definitely don't look the part.
What do you recommend? I cut the cheese.....
Did you made a follow up video ?
@danielbichokov1340 I didn't make a follow up video. I ran the tires for a while and they did good. But I sold the pathfinder.

Get some cooper discoverer atp from discount tire or get cooper discoverer at3 anywhere they work amazing on grand cherokee you wont like the yokahamas
Can I put these tires in my 97 Lincoln town car
@Ramiro Anguiano Honestly, I can't say for sure. I mean you can put any tire you want on anything if you try hard enough. LOL. But it would probably depend on size availability. In all seriousness, I would check with a local tire shop.
@@autovice thanks man I think I’m going to put the 225/70/r15 go 15
Great review but I’m gonna need more cowbell!
@Gymkata LOL! 😂
Great review, Thanks
Thank you so much for your review. It was well done got to the basic questions of how it will perform off road.
@markeldamgaard Thanks! I couldn't wait to go off road as soon as I got them.
Are these LT or P??
@Alwyn Van Der Linde These are P on the Pathfinder. LT shown on the tech picture.
How are these on the ice?
@METAHTAMAST So far they have done really well on ice for me. Not as good as dedicated winter tires, but really good in my opinion.
@@autovice thanks for getting back to me, Canadian winters are a bitch but I really don't want to have to get new rims and Winters if I can just use all terrains on my SUV.
i saw a review where Yokohama tires hve weak side wall...gets easily cut

Got 4WD on that pathfinder?
@Glenn Chapman I sure do.
Good review 👍.
I really wanted to test them on my Toyota Hilux but I'm really impressed and satisfied with the BF Goodrich AT KO2s that I'm afraid to test other tires...
@kotsosgr55 Thanks! Can't go wrong with the KO2s. They are legendary!
How bad is the road noise on the K02s?
@@Vultite the KO2s are a little louder than these Yokohamas but it's not unbearable by any means.
I have them on my Hilux 265/70R16. Worked great on little muddy roads and tarmac road noise is not noticeable. I like these tires.
What are those wheels/rims?
@Major Spam They are the stock factory wheels.
Yeah you get all four seasons...like Canada gets dry heat all summer
nice video bud
@Todd Cook Thanks!😀
You should have put a camera on the outside of your door I didn't watch the whole video but good video
@dj458 dj458 Good idea. I gotta get one of those camera mounts. I think I can get some really cool shots. Thanks!
@supperterofsanity Oh wow. That sucks. Mind if i ask? Did they honor the warranty on them?
I was offered a prorated price on the broken belt tire. So technically yes. I declined.
Your audio is rougher than the terrain
It's spelled GEOLANDAR, people. Important for the google.
@goodshipharmony 😂😂😂 I never even noticed!
Я все понял: екохама геоландер и ниссан патфандер
I have these tire absolutely hate them
@D1DDYT1TTI3S I'm surprised and curious, What is it about them you dislike so much?
AutoVice they really don’t get the traction you want in the rain on cement they just spin in the dirt and grass, but they are quiet on the road though but I honestly wouldn’t trust these tires at all in the snow let alone to go somewhere off the beaten path got these tires with my truck they are brand new tires buying real tires soon getting some delicious 275/65/18 cooper discoverer atp best tires iv ever had in my life if you want the most bang for your buck go with coopers discoverers atp or the At3 I actually liked these better then the bfg ko2s
@D1DDYT1TT13S Thanks, I'll keep the Coopers in mind for my next set.
It’s more of a street tire
What did you just do to my phone?! You touched your screen and shit just happened!!!
@Niloc Whalehands Phone be doin some crazy things! LOL!
@@whalehands $607 to $780? That's a big jump! Glad you kept them honest. What size you get?
