  • A nice hot cuppa after a freezing, yet invigorating day on the bikes. Read the full article here:

    Also, apologies for the 'wobble cam' - I was testing out a fish-eye lens and the auto stabilisation gives it a funny edge thing... Must try harder ;)

    'There are zero benefits to not having it' HAHA. Love that line. ;) That dry English humor slays me.
    I'll take a coffee too, thanks. Double Espresso. ;)
    The stock exhaust is quite brill. I had a quick test of the 2015 BMW S1000RR but I'm doing an extended test this weekend. Can't wait. I plan to put the shift-assist through its paces too. It's hard to believe that downshifter will actually work but well, apparently it does work quite well.
    The ZX-10R is amazing too. Only a nose behind the 2015 S1000RR in my book but I'll know more this weekend.
    Love this format. Subbed!

      I own a 2018 zx10r and can attest to that completely,the BMW is just slightly more tactile if I'm making any sense.The zx10r "the 5th gen" is absolutely amazing,it is so stable,it feels extremely light,kinda heavy for me at walking pace speeds but then again I'm a extremely lightweight person.That zx10r just is so stable and cuts through the air like butter,I know bikes are aerodynamic duh,but I cant explain in words how planted and good a zx10r feels,I'm getting a brand new 2018 bmw s1000rr the second I have all the money saved up.

    hi i found your channel on yt with s1000rr review. I have a question about valve knock in the range of 2500 - 4000 rpm, is this normal for this model? and another question about slipper clutch. my 2018 I just brought with 12000km at 40kph is gerkey not smooth with clutch out. and BMW bike shop said it was ok ..are they all a little bit gerkey just past idle at 2500 rpm.. i put it in neutral and hold it on 3 thousand and needle will hop up and down a few mm either side of 3 thousand rpm.. so that's what I'm feeling when going slow. is that normal.

    Also, could you try and piss about on some 600 classes? Daytona, GSXR, R6, Etc? So far, everything's been 1 litre sport stuff. Don't get me wrong, The new 1299- splooge. But some variety would be cool.

    All this electronics business...
    Shouldn't bikes be update-able? I'd like cruise control on my bike. The newer model has it so why can't it be retro fitted to older models? It's all computer stuff so it's not really much different from updating your iPhones OS.

    • @alphabeta3593
      @alphabeta3593 9 років тому

      Its all about character... if you're responsible and dont abuse 'the power'.
      Sure you can.
      But its recommended for MOST people to NOT start with a liter bike.
      You might be an exception we never know.

    • @minazmorgul
      @minazmorgul 9 років тому

      Thanks for replying :)
      Could you tell me a little bit about the difference between this bike and the ZX-10R that he talked about? To me they're both comfortable and fast superbikes, aren't they??? :)

    • @alphabeta3593
      @alphabeta3593 9 років тому

      sure both are super fast bike... But BMW is KING right now. That quick shifter is a big PLUS compared to kawi.
      well I've never owned one of the kawasaki., but according to what i've heard the Japanese bikes handles better in maintenance than the Germans.

    • @minazmorgul
      @minazmorgul 9 років тому

      alpha beta
      Thanks :) So as much as you've read or heard, which one is more comfortable, more suitable to the daily commute? Please :)

    • @alphabeta3593
      @alphabeta3593 9 років тому

      If you're in for commuting, go for STANDARD bikes because on sport bikes for ME i personally find that i have to go Fast else its not 'comfortable'.
      but anyway,
      If i were given the possibility to choose between the kawi and the beemer.
      Surely i have no doubt it will be the bmw.
      There is only one bike that can/might beat the beamer in terms of thrill and its the Kawasaki H2. but its sold out for this year. (limited edition)
      But i got to warn you, if you are a learner i would advise to you go for honda cbr 1000 rr. (ONLY if you want a liter bike BADLY.)
      I would also advise you to go for the Honda CBR 600 rr FIRST. its a cool bike, they sound good and thrills good. Quite good for daily rides.
      You got to learn to handle the power first.
      whatever the machine you get,Just take it AS SLOW AS POSSIBLE obey the laws and don't listen too much to people. Be responsible and with time you will be able to hit the 240+ km/h on them easily. Watch the 'Ghost rider uppsalla run' it will be very usefull for you later on. You NEED to watch those kinds videos so that you can avoid making any bad mistakes.
      Good luck man.

    Only 35000 subscribers? If you can get over the Baron von grumble bollox this channel deserves more respect than 35k subscribers! It's filmed and edited well. Maybe it's too real world for some people, maybe viewers like gloss. Really good comprehensive reviews, although I quite like the way the Visordown guy does the uber comprehensive one man summaries too - it's pithy, not pants. Not pithy pants.

    Nothing like pulling a wheelie on a giant plastic pendulum drinking bird. Hideous looking thing.

    How can bmw get so much right with this bike but still F*ck it up?? just ugly! and the finishing feels/looks cheap that upward scoop makes it even worse.This red and white stasky and hutch theme looks sh*te the RR on the tank looks like an after thought. I also think this bike cancels out the HP4 in my opinion.
    I did consider an HP4 before i heard the specs of this bike.
    Instead i have took the big discount on a new 14 plate RSV4 factory the best looking yet in my opinion.And although i might have some head aches with it that i might not have the BMW i dont care!
    I like being on my mates HP4 but i hate looking at it,and i like looking at this even less.
    Just my opinion diffrent strokes for diffrent folks and all that.
