I've been waiting for this video for a week! I will shut my mouth and watch it....
It's going to destroy the filthy streets my man 😁
650ib: *buy's loads of special superbikes*
*Only does straight line racing*
Thesis a great bike
@@EastsideMartin he does plenty of track content mate.
SAME HERE!
Ib.. I know yours is on order.. 😆
Solid as ever lads, shame about the moisture. Can't wait for BBB and the summer series to land.
Damn that is a proper review, as usual. Keep up the good work lads! So hyped for BBB
Awesome work as always, love 44Teeth. This may be contrary to popular belief, but I like the recent 44Teeth content a lot more than the old BVG Vlog days. Higher production value, better discussion, and all around more entertaining/informational. Keep it up gents!
Great review lads! So good to have a "live" review with Chris' commentary as he rode the bike for the first time. There really is no-one else doing videos like you guys at the moment, fucking love it
As you were riding, you mentioned that "gears are shorter", they are actually the same ratio. I believe that's an effect of the Shift Cam thing, you get the torque everywhere, so reach higher speed quicker, just like shorter gears.
Do you think in the future we could get a budget track bike challenge ? Something like you have 3 grand to buy a bike and get your first track day on it
no
Jesus what’s with you people and expecting everyone to drop prices for you. Do you want a cheaper iPhone too. If you can’t afford you can’t afford get over it make more money !!
@@kriskringle6298 you completely missed his point
How about making a video of living with a HP4 race? Cost of ownership so far etc? That would also be interesting.
The M stands for money
indeed
Lmao

So if you break a clipon you have to replace the entire upper triple? Guess I'm not understanding how they're set up.
Don't forget to do a speed run through the Swiss Alps with the S1000RR
lol
The only review you can trust is 44T you guys are awesome, you cut the bullshit and give straight talking useful advice amazing as ever boys
I love these men. No matter what they speak about it always makes me happy 😊. I love you guys. You have made automotive reviews so hilarious 😂.
Baron, will you like switzerland a bit more again if I order a hoodie? As a swiss rider I feel a bit guilty.
I think you're going to have to order 500 more hoodies to make up for that ticket.
Not even a like from baron lol.
Its like heart.. heart... then skip on your comment then heart. Lol
😂😂😂
Awesome video. Great work burning up the tyres Chris. Who was riding down the main straight doing a wheelie? Bloody epic. 👍
You guys nailed it again. Best review on this bike so far. You have a deep passion for riding bikes and it always shows...
Great audio leveling, great footage and editing. Some real professional stuff while retaining your amazing humour and style.
You guys FRICKEN rock! 44 teeth GOAT, this bike is beautiful btw
13:50 my phone beeped while watching the video and then they stopped talking and asked what are you doing. Pretty freaky.
Great Review guys! I’ve seen other reviews posted earlier but the wait is always worth it! Sue Perkins doesn’t mess around on Track, great riding Chris you have come far!
lol, don't melt Nancy...turn the nanny off..as Kenny Roberts said about racing in the rain..."It's still a race, it's just raining" (a former two class AMA Expert License holder.
52° in the wet “more than I get in the dry.” Glad you said that. Had me very deflated about my 52° max at my last track day. Impressive riding.
Traction light: "Nein nein nein nein nein!"
At first i was feeling too lazy to watch a 30 minutes review, but as i started the video your indept review griped me. Great review 💯✔
Rain or not. You guys get to ride at some really great circuits.
#bucketlist stuff if you live in Africa.
Keen to see this review on the dry.
The new lights look soooooo much better - always hated the mismatched lights.
Thanks for giving us an actual review glad it was a long vid. can't wait till you guys ride it in Jerez.
Best upgrade they changed headlights, great job on the swingarm. Does it have any bad buzzing at the handle bars, since they're using engine as a stress member? You guys are always spot on you're reviews. Cheers from Canada 😁
Hopefully if it uses some of the magic in the newer ESA suspensions it should eliminate some if not most of the buzz. Word is the newer versions of the 1000XR are much improved in the buzz department.
Great video as always boys. That wheelie... Made me very happy... Also, did anybody doing the test crash cause of the conditions?
I need BMW to update the single r. I love my '17 single r so much. Given new electronics and that awesome dash and new engine, an updated single r would be SO GOOD
Agree 😃
They will may be in 3 years
@@tuyenhoang5546 perfect, gives me time to hit 100k on my current bike. I'm at 12k in 9 months, need to step it up haha
Great job as always Guys!! Maybe you could do a Channel on Flashing, Full Exhaust Systems, Chain Sprockets, and whatever else helps the buyer achieve the Most out of their New or Used Bikes, Thank You again
Any chance of a same day, same track, back to back S1000-RR v 1100 V4 Panigale v 1100 rsv4 (when it comes out) this year? (-:
@Dylan Hedges tomorrow june 14th they're doing that comparison(if they can pull themselves away from mickey D's. Should be a stonker.
I find it pretty weird that BMW didn't allow the first group back later on when they had two weeks of "test" going. It would certainly have been possible to squeeze a session or two in on one of the days when the rest were off for a lunch or a briefing. It's pretty much all the major sites that got shafted with the rain day.
Great job baron, you've come a long way since off-roading on the gixer. Nice skills👍🏼
Congrats on almost 150k lads its well deserved, cant wait for the new bbb series :D
at 20:14 .... "I would say 3/4 cock." this is exactly how you describe BMW motorcycles LOL
I love the look of it. I was a fan of the asymetrical look of the previous one, but this one looks slick and fully racey 😎
Fabulous review chaps. Informative, engaging and entertaining! A lower degree of faffing and a lot of (semi) serious review on a serious bike in seriously challenging weather conditions! Top job!!!
Loved the review on the BMW! I’m looking at buying an Aprilia Tuono 2019 do you think you will be doing a review on this motorcycle? It would be great to find out about its new electronic suspension. Thanks. Love the videos! Brad
This is the review I've been looking for!! Thank you for a real review
Without a doubt best review team ever! Stonkin guys!
I been waiting for this review for so long but so much h worth it thanks 44👍👍
THE VIDEO WE’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR.
Amen 👍
I agree the red look better. That will be the one I would swap the L7 for if I go that route.
I'm wondering what sort of power it'll make with a full system and Euro4 ripped off it. Hopefully you get one as a 'termer. Or Baron buys another...
Great video, very interesting stuff. Bit random, booked a california superbike school session, did you guys get much out of it, any thoughts?
Great review and a good insight into what is to come. Unless I missed it there was no real comment on the electronic suspension operation. I guess that's a good thing ??
Good review - but more interested in the derived naked. With that torque spread from the shiftcam there should be no excuse the next R (there will be one?) is detuned. And with the electronics and at least option of carbon wheels, the 1000r should be terrific. And give me the first reason to trade in my 2014 r.
It will be interesting to see how the TFT dash works on bright sunny days. I know that the LCD on my RC51 was tough to see. I expect this will be very good, but it will be interesting to see.
We all knew it was going to be the usual BMW excellence but it is nice to know just how much more excellent it is. The replacing clipons thing is also typical BMW which is not so good. I had to replace a set of throttle bodies on and S1k once. What a fuckery that was. Great work guys! Keep killing it!
Great review, any reason why Al didn’t ride it also ?
Only allowed one spot at launches
Great vid, loved it. Bike looks amazing, banter even better 👌🏻👊🏻
I have a 16 model so big interest in the new one. Great review as usual guys! Whats up with the dark brake fluid? I'm also conflicted on the shift cam rpm. You guys said 4K others saying 9k rpm.
Roger Hundley I think the 16 was the one to have and if I still had mine I’m not sure if I would of upgraded !
Great review, i still like the old headlight design.
Truth: BMW blew this redesign in having less than 215 bhp, tepid styling, and blatant cost offsets such as integrated clip-ons, faired windshield, and no tail lights. Its a great bike, but if I was a BMW fan I'd be feeling hoodwinked and keeping my old S1000. Nice job as always Al and Chris.
Fancy Animal I think your right buddy just doesn’t sound as ground breaking as it was suppose to be.
I like the dash and the electronics sound great but maybe it’s not enough of a step up.
I still think the 15/16 bike was the one and that maybe where I’ll go back too.
I have a GS with the tft as my everyday bike so....
@@robtno1 Yup. Those were the best years. Hopefully it will get a progressive styling and hardware update over the next couple years. Cheers!
Fancy Animal Thing is I would of kept my 16 plate I loved that thing until someone smidsy me, now I’m stuck I’ve got a GS with the fancy screen but not the valve timing engine.
Anyway I need a sports bike so I’m in the market for one.
I gotta say I’m sitting on the fence with the new one, I’m almost thinking I should wait and see if I can grab a bargain on an 18 although 15/16 was best in my opinion
The engine which is key has a better mid all the power isn’t at the top like the old one . Now I see why the old gen was so good at the TT but no good in wsbk .
The new one bike seems a mismash of decent engine, frame, electronics, brakes are questionable, styling I don’t mind but .
Smash that like button for these awesome chaps!
Best S1000rr review yet. Can't wait for a dry group test.
Hey Chris, how does it compare (ish) with your carbon-ed up HP4 Race? Presumably the rolling chassis on your track tool's still cutting edge, but that new motor sounds pretty damned trick...
You guys have had 100k people waiting for a week! 😆👍
Great video as always!!! Like a well educated chat with mates
Best Review on UA-cam so far 👌luv you guys. Greetings from Germany
What makes the Suzuki a lower tier? Im going to move up to the liter bike and and all the info I can get would help in making a good decision. Great vid.
Dan B cos it’s not a European bike
I thought Sepp was actually in the room when that headlight was explained 👍🏼.
When are we going to see more of the "Race"...?
Thank goodness for all the jizzy whizz bangs
Sueperkins review as usual, Proper vid \(^o^)/
That bridgestone tire launch on Jerez.... S22 maybe??? Looking forward to that, cant find much info on them right now and I will need something to replace the s21 soon
Which is better option between 2019 BMW S1000RR and Yamaha R1..??
Hopefully the launch of the new bike will lower the secondhand prices for the Gen 1 bikes to levels mere mortals like me can afford...
I think the M pack looks way nicer than the red version, but I may be biased as my S1000R is in the motorsport colours.
It's unbelievable how good the electronics package are today, how much better can they get?
A nice review!!! Next time you come to Portugal i hope it will be better weather :p
Keep the good work ;)
I will buy it only for the TFT dash, love it! Thanks for the review
Can i ask your opinions on the front end trail for the road? Surely such a short trail number is gonna spell a nervous and unstable ride on the road! Not to mention the fact that you loose feel the shorter the trail gets....
Looks like electronics have finally come of age. Cheers chaps.
Honestly, is the S1kRR still just as good for road riding since the new model has the footpegs higher up and the sitting position appears to be made more for racing?
I was expecting a Baron Von Tumble with how wet that looked. Don’t think I’ll be trading my ‘17 for one in a hurry, but looks a superb bike.
They really nailed the design on this one, especially the front of the bike.
Nice one boys, was waiting for the 44teeth review before I make my mind up proper on this? Seeing as it was a wet one I may just wait til Jerez before deciding. Awaiting a road review too, will ye get one for same?
Great work as always ye lucky f*(
What an amazing bike, sounds like this trip was a real testament to electronic rider aids. All the people who whinge about them ruining everything, yeah I'll stay upright and alive thank you very much. Looking forward to Jerry's, see what you think of my new s22's , stay safe chaps
You sold me on the 899 in 2014. You’ve just sold me on the RR-M. I feel as thought I should pay you a commission.
10 points for correct use of GUI
Great Review Baron.
Killing the content as usual 👍
Not sure if I would get the dynamic suspension, I've heard a few horror stories about the cost if these break down. On the other hand, maybe things have become cheaper and more mainstream since the hp4 days?
Bout time, been waiting for this since the launch event haha. Better late than never 👍🏾
ABS kicks in maybe at 50X a second result you can't or barely feel it, similar to my 2015 H2 versus my 2011 BMW S1000RR like night and day, I will the increased pulsing on the H2 all day every day.
The track layout looks very similar to Portimao. Great work 44T :)
Liked before watching it, because I know the review is gonna be awesome!
Carbon wheel may not be lighter because of thicker discs, but it will have less inertia anyway, because outside part is lighter and more weight is closer to axle (shorter radius).
Great review, as always guys! :)
Solid!!! Highest quality on UA-cam!
BMW S 1000RR - strong as a condom😂
Why is it 10 seconds behind the Ducati and Kawasaki in WSBK?
Surely Tom Sykes isn't that bad of a rider...........
Main problem seems to be the top speed, which the ducati and kawasaki are just better at
Road bikes are only the base for race bikes... then there is the set up, changes, mods, etc. In the end so many variables vs a road bike that you can’t compare.
Also race bikes take time to tweak etc, so this being a “new” bike they’ll need some time to develop it.
Ducati threw everything at the V4R and it revs another 3500rpm higher...and Bautista is a GP rider.
Thought i heard it was still on the stock engine, with a tune and a system?
Toms top speed was 15/20kph down on the Ducati. Engines being developed race by race. Very low state of tune for a World Superbike bike. Donnington should be a good race for the BMW.
What a beautiful day for a ride(every day on two wheels is a good day).
I like to see dark colors of it like metallic black also the other one was it thunder gray or something? also I like to see it in BMW blue just like some years ago.
Gut feeling says this is going to be another belter of a bike from bmw
Looking forward to Jerez vid 😃 Top job boyos 👍🏻
Great Vid .... but where is BBB Alpine? Getting withdrawal symptoms
Great review again lads. Honestly a good thing it was wet - what's a more accurate British bike review than testing in the rain on a surface covered in shit? I can't put my finger on it, but something about that bike appeals to me in a way BMW sports bikes haven't before... maybe just because it's sexy as heck lol.
Great review, keep it up guys.
Sounds like my old GSXR 600, which is ok with me! Nice work guys.
You guys make great videos
is that a matte TFT? it looks incre-ibley!
So in summary: it has 3 levels of heated grips... and it's better than before ;-)
