You are an idol of mine. I wish I could travel the world and take pictures of cars. Great video. If you could make a print with the full profile of an FK8 or a new NSX, I would buy that in a heartbeat. I did see you had an older NSX on there
This is a forever car. I never feel like anyone upstages OEMs with their mods. Singer does, there’s a few companies. I can’t think of an individual other than you though. Props!
Holy shit this dude is a SERIOUS enthusiast, attention to detail is absolutely impeccable!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 must be an absolute ball of fun to drive daily sheesh!!!
Larry, your videos and enthusiasm towards motoring is highly contagious. You photography of anything with wheels is amazing. Thank you for sharing with motor heads!
Great video as always and a great car to feature but also a very passionate owner. Hondapro Jason has been sharing Honda content for many years now and it's great to see he built his car the way he wanted to. I think that Porsche 968 next to the civic definitely deserves a feature. It's a rare car and not often seen modified.
This dude is one of the reasons I’m a Honda fan boi, yep. I love the FK8 type R, I had a 2017 2.0 manual and love the chassis. Will get one when this bubble pops and they are cheaper used then new….🤘🔥😎🔥🤘
16:45 you should stitch or carbon the plastic edge around the shifter assembly but this is such an awesome build and has to be so much fun to put together. Wonderful job
Jason and Larry. Another great YT collab. What a time to be a car head. As we march toward an electrified, autonomous future, content like this feels like a hell of a finale. I miss the good print mags but this content is even better. Also shout out to Curt’s customs in MO. Who would have guessed there was world class jdm body work getting done in the show me state?
Lucky enough to meet Jason at H-day this year, dudes such a great guy, he takes the time to talk to absolutely everyone he possibly can and loves talking Hondas :)
Its wild how some people care so much about details i couldnt give a poo about. 8 months to paint a brand new car yellow, my gosh, id never. It was probably a 20k "mod" for what really? To each their own, thats why car culture is great
@@jasonterry9343 Nope, the LE wasn't announced and he had one of the first FK8s in the country so years. One might say that Honda made the LE yellow because of his car. :P
I like that Honda made these crazy looking, plenty of more modest options out there if it’s not your thing. The only thing I wish is that they sounded better. Still really want one though!
That's what I love about the Type R the most. It looks so wild and different than anything you'd commonly see on the road. I've had people say it looks exotic. lol
Definitely would have to wrap it lol the only one that comes from the factory in phoenix yellow is a 2021 limited edition which are ridiculously expensive cheapest I’ve seen new is 78k cheapest used I’ve seen was 66k
Honestly, I'm sure there are "true Honda enthusiasts" working at Honda. The problem is that business is business, and at the end of the day they're a large corporation in the business of making money.
@@Lofi.z34 I have a feeling that while there's probably some truth to "they put those there to make the car look what they think people think looks cool," half the reason fake vents exist on any car these days is probably just down to how big cars have gotten, and they need to fill that space with _something_ to keep it from being a large, boring slab of empty panel. Look at the bumpers of even a base model 2022 Civic, and compare them to those of an early '90s Civic or Accord. The older cars only had just enough room to fit a minimal radiator opening and some turn signals/fog lights. Today, they've got too much space to work with thanks to safety regs.
Here in Switzerland I paid USD 38'000 for my FK8 (2018). I got the GT version with all the newest things I don't need. I have the dark gray one, not too excited about the 20" wheels, prefer the 18" wheels.
My ears perked up at “Kurt’s customs out in Missouri” as a native Missourian I need to find this place and take note for when I’m in a better place financially
I paid retail for mine! 2019. you have to get lucky and get to the dealer when they have a 1 year old model year and a new model year. In order to sell the new one above MSRP they want to move the old model year. Got mine for 37k, the MSRP in 2019 😁
I paid msrp for my 2020 fk8. I had to pre order it and it took about three months to get. The dealer told me if the car was on the lot they mark it up about 10 to 20 grand. My payments are pretty high though.
I loved my 95’ Honda that I paid $2,500 for in college. It was a great car… I’d love another in fact. However, for 60k, I’m going with a German car that outperforms this.

Hey Larry, great video as always bro. What's the name of that song playing at the end of your videos??
This video was so much fun to create with you Larry! It turned out awesome! Thanks for all the love my friend 👊🏼
Your enthusiasm was great. Really happy for you

Perfect build.

I'm happy for how happy he was. The man truly enjoys his car, and that's really all that matters

I remember when Jason first started he would read of the brochure & now he’s going into details about his own build that’s pretty unique
yes and thank you!

Another idea is to Install some LED lights under so at night that part of the linkage is more exposed

Would love to meet you two someday!
I’ve got a small channel myself revolved around my tsx atm and try to do my videography and photography stuff 🙌🏼
im bothered by the gap between the front bumper and the fender😣😩
The one dealer near me outside of philly has two and one is 48k and the other is 53k both used. Absolutely insane!
If you are a FK8 owner check out the FI exhaust. Best one handsdown
Larry, you can also feature SPAMSUBIE's civic. Its also nice.
Also Mexican spec CRVs came with the Turbo Vtec badge

They don’t put fender covers on the type r, so that air can flow through the hood scoop and out the fender vents

I live in IL too, I swear I've seen this around, maybe. 630 area ?
that porsche sit beside the honda, look sick
Machine gun Larry at it again!!
Some plexiglass to protect the shifter assembly would be nice. An amazing car nonetheless
A little boost by gear goes a long way on the fk8 but like mine fullsend in every gear too😂
I was told that the under-the-hood coverings being left off was to increase cooling. If it was just cost, that sucks.
Oh snap! A Integra AWD!!! WET DREAM FROM THE 90’s!!😱😱😱😱🤯

Does anyone know what gear knob that is? Suits the interior so well

So what does it make on pump gas? 450 wheel are the E85 numbers no?
Jason nice hair line

@HondaPro Jason, didn't you have once as a 4WD setup on you car? The rear wheels were electric I believe?
Yes but it was just installed for the SEMA show. I never drove the car with the AWD system on.
is that the one i saw yesterday in orlando?
The VTEC sticker adds at least 10hp at the wheels
Can you do video on the Porsche in the background 🙏🏾
What’s the parts list for the mods to make more power?
