Hi guys! I'm happy to share with you today this new French Satisfactory episode 🥰 This is the second time I'm working on a gaming console, and I loved it, so I really hope you will have a nice time watching this video. It's been some months now I took place on other social medias where I share exclusive content about my cleaning work. So: - If you want all the before/after pics of my cleaning sessions, join me ON INSTAGRAM: instagram.com/french.satisfactory/ - If you want to have my live activity, join me ON TWITTER: twitter.com/FrSatisfactory - Well, I'm also ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/french.satisfactory See you there 😘 Love you all ❤❤
Looks great, except 1 thing. I believe you forgot to put back the 1 screw in the back of the blu-ray drive where the ribbon cables are. You sat the power supply over it and mounted it down. Not the end of the world. But I watched it twice and never saw you put it in. Super clean work!
Nice shot @larrygeorge3599 ! Yeah that was the 2nd gaming console cleaning of this channel so it was pretty new for me. I don't remember to be honest and I didn't watch again the video, but I'm pretty sure you are right 😉 Thanks a lot for your comment, glad to know you enjoyed watching this video even with that mistake ❤️❤️
One of these days, I ought to take apart my PS3 slim model to clean out any dust and replace the thermal compound as well. But I need a pair of tweezers and a spudger as well.
That's definitally better to have good tools to do it properly 😉 The main thing I really needed is a Torx security bit if I remember well. I really should show better what tools I am using in my videos 😅 Thanks for your comment @blazingsoulhunter2862 , I hope you enjoyed this video ❤️
Worst thing about PS3 is both cpu and gpu have IHS like a desktop processor. When TIM between cpu/gpu and IHS dried, no amount of cleaning can save it from overheating unless you delid and replace the tim. PS4 and PS5 design mitigate this issue by having direct contact to the die so you can just clean and replace thermal paste to make your console run normal again.
Thank you very much Bagus to took the time to write this interesting comment. I'm curious to open a PS4 now :) Hope you enjoyed this video. Thanks again ❤️
Even worse is all FAT PS3s suffer from an nVidia GPU design flaw that will basically guarantee their death eventually (YLOD). The internal solder inside the chip will eventually crack and it will not be recoverable. You cannot re-ball it, you cannot re-flow it. Heating this solder is a delicate one-time process done at the factory but the design of nVidia GPUs from 2004-2009 like the 6000 series to the 9000 series (I think that's the range) is flawed due to the material they used as filler in the chips and they are all destined to end in the landfill, even if used in optimal conditions. The PS3 Slims have redesigned GPUs that shouldn't suffer this fate, I think.
Hello to both of you Bagus and French.Satisfactory. I’m planning to clean my ps3 in short future and here is the question: Do you have any recommendations in regards of TIM pastes? Does it have to be any particular(best for this purpose)? Thank you in advance for your time and effort. Cheers.
Not yet! but I have one in my office to clean. So a video with it should come in this channel 😉 Thanks a lot for your comment Gabester! Glad to know you enjoyed this video ❤️❤️
got it, but is that work really better than usual windows cleaner product ? can't find the value to be honest. But that maybe because I don't get something
Another awesome video! Great work! I have noticed that in the past few videos, when the device is clean, the music starts when you put it down and you hear the sound it makes. That is a really cool little detail! Keep up the amazing content!
Yey! Thank you very much Volvo240! Really appreciate your comment ❤️❤️ It's so nice when you put so much efforts in making a video and see that people enjoy it. Especially when it is somebody who follow this channel since the beginning 🥰
well, it really depends of lot of things. Some people replace it every year, but it is generally recommended to replace it every 3 to 5 years depends on where and how the Playstation is used.
oh I didn't even know this it was for a thermal conduct purpose! Shame on me 😅 Thanks for the info, I will order some for the next videos. Thank you very much for your comment, hope you enjoyed this video Betho ❤️
If I remember well, it is not the case for all PlayStations, but it is the case on that one. Hope my answer can help you. Thanks for your comment @2pacaveli257 , I hope you enjoyed this video ❤️
Well, I'm everytime looking for very dirty computers and gaming consoles for my next videos. That's basically the most complicated part of this channel. If yours is as dirty as my 3 last videos, I would love to check with you how I could get it and give it to you back for free. But I don't have time to clean gaming consoles I can't make videos with. Sorry for that. Thanks a lot for your comment. Gland to know you enjoyed watching it ❤️❤️

@@french.satisfactory had to mention because the new thermal paste on top of the IHS is only as efficient at conducting heat as the dried out crappy stock them paste underneath the IHS is. Glad I could point it out. Crappy design from Sony.
Yeah, really interesting comment. Thanks for sharing. I will probably not take action in the next video, but I will think about this, and it will for sure take place in a coming video. ❤️
