FINALLY a youtuber who shows the picture side of the camera. 99% of the youtubers only show video side. Pictures were savage!! The price of the camera is crazy though. 6000 dollars..is it worth it?
Thanks for the video! As others have said, the mc21 adapter doesn't do af-c which is a pain. I have a S1 and it's hard to decide whether to invest into more l-mount lenses or jump to the R6 when it comes out... depending on how that camera works in the real world.

Thank you. Its the canon eos r with the sigma 24mm 1.4
You can only use AFS with the MC-21 adapter, not AFC. That's why it couldn't track the subject.
Trust me, with a native lens in Face/Eye detection or tracking mode, it works flawlessly (between 8/10 and 9/10 in focus for moving subjects).
The MC-21 adapter is unfortunately very poorly designed and optimized for lenses other than L-Mount.
I wish I can try that out but native glass is too expensive. I wish it can be like canon even with 3rd party lenses and adapter it performs the same with photos in af..ima rent out a native lens to see the different for sure..thank you for this
@@MarioVisions You also have the option of sigma lenses with L mount and thus you do not need any adapter and the focus improves significantly

appreciate the effort on lumix s cameras.. most people left making videos on it.. it'd be great if you could rent out the s pro 24-70 / 50mm and test the af with that as most people would seemingly get that for video..

Dang i want the S1H and i wonder would the auto focus work better with native lenses.
Everyone is stating it is alot better with native lenses which i figured..native is always best
Native lenses work a lot better, I use the MC-21 and Sigma 18-35/f1.8 for video which is great but for photos I always throw the 24-105/f4 there for photos, autofocus works so much better and hit rate on action shots is much higher 👍🏽👍🏽

@@MarioVisions hi Mario, did the update change anything at all? I'm using the S1H with a Canon EF 50mm 1.2L and I thought there was a problem with the lens... until I watched your video. Thank you for that, now I get it!
You cannot judge to AF if you use adapter + non native system lens. I use it for native lens and C-AF is good but not great.
i use also Sony A9ii wit native lens and C-AF is mind blowing.
Very true. Reason why I did this is because alot of s1h owners use this adapter since they own canon ef lenses as well. L mount is too expensive to switch over too but based on what people are telling me..ima rent a native lens..I'm curious to see how great the af is now with native glass
@@MarioVisions I think all native glass on Sony, Panasonic, Canon RF is very expensive because if the body going to have all the tech inside today. Companies are going to make their money on the lens. Everyone wants to jump ship on the R5 or R6 for Canon but the native lens is crazy-expensive. I have the S1 and 24-70mm f2.8 Sigma Art Love IT for Photos and Video. Now I'm just saving money relaxing on buying lens and focus on creating. Great Channel Enjoy Your Movement!

I dont think doing an autofocus test with a 1.4 and an adapter is fair lol especially when you say its not for weddings when its actually the perfect wedding camera with a native lens.
