When I was young I lived up North. I walked outside after a blizzard! There was a full moon shining on the field behind my house. The feild was pristine! The frost was on the snow shining silver but the snow was white and blue! I think you nailed it!
I 100% wear a mask when using SLSA. No matter how careful you are, it gets into the air and it definitely effects me. I first thought it would be fine and didn't wear a mask, I coughed for hours afterwards. Definitely recommend a mask!
Just finished making these, my first bath truffles ever. Why haven't I make these before?!? I LOVE THEM!!! Made these for my grandchildren, I may have to keep some for me!
I accepted the challenge and made a Mint Chocolate Chip Bubbling Bath Scoop. I followed this recipie, but added the chocolate chip chunks. I used 4 oz clear melt and pour soap with 1/2 t of cocoa powder. Turned out amazing!!! #BrambleOn
I make these bath truffles in all different scents all the time for gifts for my colleagues. They are a big hit. I just use fractionated coconut oil instead of the extract and whatever scent I want. I tend to use unrefined cocoa butter so I try to use scents that go well with the chocolate smell. So easy and they make the best bubbles.
I was surprised you didn’t put ant coco betaine in your recipe. I found a recipe with just coco betaine as the surfactant and I like that recipe so much more than buying slsa but I might try yours to see the difference. I really enjoyed your video. Thank you
I so love your creative team and Bramble Berry. You have amazing ideas that we can use with your great fragrances and come up with some amazing projects to add to what you come up with. I cannot wait to make this and share in Instagram. Ty, so much 💙💙💙💙🤎🤎🧡🧡🧡🖤
Another question, sorry :) I would like to make in the next day or 2 & won't be able to order the champagne extract in time. What could I substitute it with? Fractionated coconut oil perhaps? I'm in Canada. Thank you!
Shrink wrapping your bath truffles should help keep them together, but if you're worried, we would recommend you use something more solid like jars! If you do choose to shrink wrap, it might be a good idea to throw in some silica packets to absorb an excess moisture during the shipping process!
Hi Amanda, these looks amazing i am from the uk and wanted to know how much batch is these truffles and are these 100% formula ? i am new to body care world. please help me
This recipe makes about 18 truffles. You can find the full recipe and ingredients list on our website: www.brambleberry.com/articles-and-projects/projects/bath-bombs/sparkling-snowball-bath-truffle-project/PS000272.html
I have recently found this channel and it’s amazing...and all the products in the shop too, shame I’m in Spain and shipping costs are too much because I’d love to try all those scents... Here the cream of tartar it’s a bit difficult and expensive to get, can I substitute it ? Or just not adding it? Thanks a lot 🖤
You can omit the cream of tartar, it just helps the bubbles! You can always add a little more citric acid or baking soda to help with that. As for international shipping, some of our customers will order supplies with friends to split the shipping costs! Before you order, be sure to check out our international shipping policies page to make sure you know everything first: www.brambleberry.com/international-shipping-policies.html
Hello, mine smell off due to the shade butter having a slight odor. What can I do to fix this? I just wasted a ton of ingredients. As soon as mine hit water they stink like the shea butter. Please help! Thanks!
Complimenti, questa ricetta è adorabile ed il prodotto finale è veramente grazioso, voglio provarla, ma non riesco a trovare l' estratto di champagne, posso sostituirlo e con cosa potrei sostituirlo?
I just wanted to bring to attention the amazing “wear a mask campaign” that our sweet Anne Marie led via her instagram all throughout the pandemic. Her creative young son even made (sewed!) masks himself for his community. This was a perfect opp to use one of his homemade masks to protect Amanda’s lungs and mucous membranes (and motivate viewers to work safely).
I was thinking the same thing about the total cost of the recipe itself. She used 15 ounces of SLSA and they charge $25.85 for 28 ounces. The SLSA alone is $13.85. It is a fairly large batch but the price of the SLSA still makes me say...Ouch! Lol Cutting back the SLSA to at least half would still make a lot of bubbles from one scoop. : )
I did a breakdown on the cost. If you purchase their kit at $85.00 you will make about 18 truffles. Each truffle will cost $4.70 to make. However, you will have a lot of some ingredients left over. I also did a "per ounce" breakdown and that came out to $2.74 each to make.
If you aren't transporting them far, using simple plastic bags or pouches will work great. If you want something more secure for long-distance shipping, we recommend using sealable jars!
Can I make this recipe but use instead liquid SLS? Would the measurements be the same? I couldn't find the powder one here in Argentina. Love this truffles by the way 😍... such a shame I cannot try them 😭
A few great substitutes would be Chamomile Extract, Green Tea Extract or Watermelon Extract. Here's the link to the rest of our extracts: www.brambleberry.com/shop-by-product/ingredients/additives-and-lye/extracts?prefn1=UseInBathBomb&prefv1=Yes&start=0&sz=12
Once you have the dry ingredients mixed together, and the wet ingredients mixed together, would it be possibly to split those in half and add a different fragrance oil to make two separate batches?
If you want to split the batch and use two fragrance oils, you'll want to combine your other wet ingredients first, then split them to add fragrance to each half.
A lightweight oil like sweet almond oil will not work in the recipe. If you're looking to substitute the shea butter, you will need to replace it with a similar hard butter like cocoa or avocado butter.
Thank you for sharing and cant wait to try making them for year round pressies. How long can you store them for ? Also do you ship some of the ingredient to the UK ?
We recommend using them within 6 months! And yes, we do ship to the UK! Whenever you ship internationally though, we recommend reading our International Shipping Policies before ordering: www.brambleberry.com/international-shipping-policies.html

Can bath truffles be formed in molds similar to a bath bomb or is the scoop/layered slices really the only way to go about it? I'm not that great at bath bomb making so I thought I'd try this but still want to use some of my super cute bath bomb shape molds.
We have tried this recipe in a silicone mold, with moderate results. Depending on the size of your mold, they will take a few days to harden and dry in the mold. We recommend using a mold without any small details, as the mixture will get stuck.

Hii
You need to start telling people in your tutorials that they can’t use a mixer for baking after using it to make something like this
@@alwyngreen7205 most mixers are stainless steel. There's no problem using it for something else after washing.
Could you give us this recipe in percentages so we can make it in the quantity we would like instead?
I just plug the volume measurements into a calculator or spreadsheet to calculate percentages.
When I was young I lived up North. I walked outside after a blizzard! There was a full moon shining on the field behind my house. The feild was pristine! The frost was on the snow shining silver but the snow was white and blue! I think you nailed it!

Beautiful presenter..and such a wonderful idea. sparingly pretty.
Fun project! Amanda was great!
I think it looks like icecream 😍🤤
It most certainly does!
Brilliant!! So pretty!! 😍💜
Could you put the SLSA in first, then the other dry ingredients are sitting on top of it, so it poofs less?
Amanda I tried this recipe it turned out it’s so beautiful and it’s wonderful in the bath.
These are soooo pretty!!! Would this "dough" be rollable with a rolling pin for like cookie cutters?
It should be! You may want to use baking soda in place of flour on your work surface!
I have bought all the ingredients and can't wait to get these made!!
Oh that is so exciting! We just know they will turn out wonderful
Wow, pretty I will try and make its one day soon. Thanks for sharing.
Ohhhh glad you made this When I saw it on the Brambleberry website I really wanted to buy it
Nice. Thanks for sharing. I wanna try these with household products only. I gotta experiment.
Thank you for the recipe! I enjoyed your lesson!
This is one of my favorite scents.
These are beautiful!
It seems like SLSA powder is coming all the way here. Haha
Ah-choo~
The shape of the ice cream is lovely.
This was a great video, they turned out so pretty! Amanda, Thank you - great job!
My FAVE part 16:24 🤣😂😂 I REALLY enjoyed your video Amanda! Thx u so much...TOTALLY GORGEOUS!!
I loved this tutorial, thank you 💗 I can’t find champagne extract in Canada or much info online for substitutions. What would you suggest?
Thank you! Any other oil-soluble extract or lightweight oil would work well as a substitution.
I love these 💗
I made these!!! I used a 1-ounce scoop and got 64 truffles. I used honeysuckle scent. These turned out so well.
If you post photos online, tag them with #BrambleOn so we can see the final product!
How big was the scoop? Was it a big, small or medium scoop?
@@younganimals2948 I used a 1 oz scoop that I bought from target. I think it made the perfect sized truffle.

great recipe. I'm wondering if the poly80 is enough for all that oil, does it get rid of the slippery danger?
awww i mean i love anne marie... but amanda is awesome too! hope to see more vids from her as well.

Would love to see someone put snowman faces on these! What a beautiful effect.
That's a fantastic idea!
I love this ❤
Wow they look amazing. I would love to try them. A question, what does the champagne extract do? Can it be replaced with something else?
Thanks
It's a lightweight liquid oil that's adding extra skin loving properties to this recipe!
But can it be left out?
Is the 2 oz size suitable for one use or would it be better for 2? Thanks! 💜
This original recipe calls for 0.8 ounces of fragrance so the 2 ounce bottle will make 2 batches with a bit remaining.
@@bramble-berry Sorry-I meant the 2 oz bath truffle. Would it be safe for one bath or should it be broken into two? Sorry about that. Thank you!! 💜
Another question, sorry :) I would like to make in the next day or 2 & won't be able to order the champagne extract in time. What could I substitute it with? Fractionated coconut oil perhaps? I'm in Canada. Thank you!
Fractionated coconut oil would work great!
I must be hungry cause this looks just like food 😋 and of course I know its not I would not eat this at all but this is my 2 a.m cravings for food...
Too cute
These are absolutely beautiful. Would polysorbate 60 be as effective as polysorbate 80 with these ingredients?
I enjoyed the video and made the bath scoops. Is there another butter that can be used instead of coco butter?
Can you shrink wrap these for shipping? Or would the truffles mess up?

very nice, Don't have a bath myself, but they're nice for gifts. I had a candle once that had it's wax in an icecream scoop shape in a glass
How do these need to be packaged? Do they need to be fully sealed or can they be left to the air?
We recommend wrapping them tightly with plastic wrap and storing them in a cool, dry place.

Can you explain why you added the citric acid? Like what does this ingredient provide to the truffles?
How long will the bubbles stay in the bathtub? Because mine(with this recipe) made a lot of bubbles but they were gone in less than 5 minutes.
For more bubbles, try running the truffles directly under the faucet when the bath tub is about 1/2 full of water.
Looks like an expensive recipe. Do you know the cost break down per bath truffle?

Nope, it would fizz but not bubble.
