Sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a method to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid forgot the account password. I love any help you can give me.
@Cayson Arlo thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and im trying it out atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
An alternative to regular coffee beans/grounds is instant coffee. Add it just before pressing. It will dissolve by the time the bath is over, no mess no fuss.
Oils are a great way to moisten bath bombs and add skin-loving properties. Start with about 0.5 ounces per pound. Some crafters use 99% isopropyl alcohol, but it can dry the bath bombs out, so they're more likely to crack. Try a combination of oil and alcohol to hold the mixture together. We don't recommend water, though.
I noticed this recipe is slightly different from your usual bath truffle recipes in the past, omitting the cream of tartar & glycerin. Is there any reason for that?
just a residue some bath bombs leave behind...it leaves a ring around the tub where the water is at its fullest :) im not good at making sentences hope you understand lolol
Yeah like at the top of the water line in your tub will be a stripe of soap scum type of residue all the way around the inside of your tub unless the ingredients have a binder like sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) but some individuals prefer sulfate free products and deal with the excess residue, it's your call 🤷♀️
I've just started making homemade soap and I'm having trouble keeping the batter liquified. I do everything the tutorials tell me and still the batter starts hardening up on me. Can anyone tell me a secret or short cut to getting the batter colored and to the mold before it sets?
Not sure if you still need it but temperature might be a factor. The hotter you work the faster the soap sets. (The saponification happens faster at higher temp) Also the type of oils/butters you use are also important. The more hard oils or butters you use the sooner the mixture sets. Waxes make it set up way faster too. Some fragrances and colourants also speed up trace. Most suppliers put that in the description. The more dry ingredients you use, like colourants or clays the faster the recipe sets up as well. Lastly and a very common mistake is stickblending too much. Sometimes my soap takes only 2 to 3 seconds to reach light trace, which equals to one or two quick pulses with the stickblender. I overmixed a lot in the beginning which made the experience a lot less fun. Hope you can fix the problem 😊
Mother in law? I want to be her permanent assistant and archivist ( I AM. a qualified one) . I am available. I am a huge fan. I am a savonniere ( soap maker ) too with a little soap lab at the bottom of the garden.i am such a Fangirl. I recommend proper chemical filter mask- worth the cost if you want to work with SLSa. I look a treat in my rubber apron, gloves , breathing mask & safety glasses - gave the courier driver a fright...
ok am I seeing things? I just seen a video where the boiler exploded and I see you in it... it was your house?? woahhh lol Im glad your babies are ok! ua-cam.com/video/nHzpvm7lLQU/v-deo.html
