One of the best GM DIY channels out there - really appreciate your work my friend! Did the same swap on my RCSB several years ago but included the matching AC/heat vents, the side panels (that you mentioned) and swapped out the handle above the glove box with a leather one. Found a Birchwood dash bezel, and then one of the long overhead consoles to match! All for under $200. Completely transformed the interior. Again, great work and super nice truck!!!
Wow! That console and lower trim looks amazing! Well done utilizing items from the GM parts bin, and at a great price! That looks really sharp, Travis. And yeah, finishing touches will bring it together. But, great vision of the end result. I can see it in my minds eye. I would have never though about this. Well done! Keep up the great content!!!
Thanks to the purchase of my 02 Tahoe I stumbled o ur channel n I’m loving it...... great content bro thanks for all u do to teach us all the tricks 👍👍👍
That really brings back memories of my 2006 Chevy I bought new, It was a Regency Badlander conversion 4 x 4 white with gray interior it also had carbon fiber trim pieces with a silver and red instrument cluster look cool at night when the light were on keep up the good work love your videos.
Looks good. I also did this with my sons 2500 HD Silverado and added the power seats from a Tahoe. The light grey seats really look so much better with the two tone grey.
I had the same dark interior. I swapped to light gray electric leather seats, bottom dash, kick panels and electric door panels. Looks great. Panels are light gray with light tan arm rest. Looking at doing the arm rest charcoal. Keep up the good work. Headliner was already light gray match’s perfect.
Two-tone looks good. I did my swap a couple months ago and scored a complete dark charcoal console at a pick n pull style salvage yard for $16. Its amazing how heavy they are with sub, amp and radio controls.
Definitely interested in the power window mod. I have a complete Tahoe donor and would like to move everything over. And of coarse, the 5.3 is getting moved to the truck! Bye bye 4.3
My 04 is Tan with that stupid jump seat. I've had it 3 weeks and no console is making me crazy!! Man it looks good I'm only doing that console after this vid mine is all tan with vinyl floor
Awesome job bud! I think it pops with the color of the truck...any color other than green I dont think I would like it as much. Keep up the good work and attention to detail...as always you rock!
a good upholstery shop can fill those holes in the knee bolster and redye the plastic. Also, GM sells the push pin fasteners that you need for the front of your console where those holes are in the correct color.
I swapped the escalade woodgrain into my 04 denali xl that had the silver graphite in it. Door panels, dash pad, center console pieces with clock and flip out ash tray, woodgrain steering wheel (spray dyed the air bag), gauge cluster and dash bezel. Also got the 07 caddy 22's and some gmc caps for them. Still have to install the stainless roof rack. I like the little touches of the escalade. But I dont want drive one. Plus the dished pistons on this U vin 6.0 make great compression with a 799 head swap.
Finally got my 00 silverado and ur truck is inspiring truck been cleaning ships out of it fixing a bunch of broker parts..got lucky it came with a 5.3 n power windows, and lowered.
On these base model trucks I always add the black plastic cover under the passenger side of the dash, cleans up the look a lot. Although this is a dumb time to mention this as you would have to take the console back out to install it.
Great video! I have a base model 2005 Silverado single cab that was originally my grandfather’s last farm truck. I’m slowly making it mine, one option at a time. I’m hoping to do the full console conversion next. I’m lucky enough that my nephew has a 2005 Silverado extended cab with one and he may want the fold down center seat that I’ve already bought. It’s going to be difficult to wait for Spring of 2024 to get the console, or maybe not. I’m not positive, but I think the interiors of our trucks are even the same colors. I hope so, because if not, he might be turned off of the plan. My truck also has the manual locks and roll up windows. That’s okay with me. I can still someday get the door panels covered with vinyl or leather for a different look. I also have the black vinyl floor in my truck, but it’s in practically perfect condition and the carpet isn’t worth the hassle of getting it. All I’ve changed so far in the interior is getting the white-faced SS gauge cluster with blue LED backlighting. I love it. Videos like this one are very educational and helpful for me. It’s just crazy how easy it looks to do. If it were up to me, we would get this done on a nice day soon. But Nephew is the one who decides when, or if. You showed me how, said which size tool to use, where the bolts or nuts or clasps are, and went through the process with great advice and instructions. Thanks again.
Never tough that it would look that nice, i put a console on my truck aswell but i end up painting everything black, btw your tryck is becoming one of simple but sick trucks in youtube
Nice job! I have a 2000 gmc sierra. Could I use the glovebox and knee panel that’s in the truck now? Seems like I can cut out the parts that doesn’t fit. I know it’s been awhile since this video but, I really want to know. Thanks!
That two tone looks good in there ....once u do the seats and door panels two tone ,it's really gonna set it off .👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿...the interior is really clean....
Now you need to do an airbag switch relocation. I used an additional blank panel to fill the hole and just relocated the switch where I could access it from inside the glove box.
So I bought a console at the junk yard to swap for my jump seat. I have a 2002 Silverado 2 door. My dash set-up was exactly like yours, 3 lighters and an ashtray. The jump seat came out exactly the same. But my new console is different from yours. Mine is a 2 piece. The front section bolts directly to the dash after I remove the plastic dash part under the lighters. 2 tabs up top, 2 screws in the bottom. Did not have to remove glove box or piece under steering wheel. BUT the back part of the console does not sit on a frame like the original jump seat or the console you have. It bolts to the floor with 4 bolts. I have not put that in yet because I want to see if the floor has the bolt holes. I can always drill some but want to check first. I guess there are two types of console?
Turned out awesome - as always. Have you thought about swapping the seats for those with the armrest in it? I feel like a captain riding around in those. Greetings from Germany
Looks good boss man, I did the exact same thing to mine. Got rid of the jump seat, but I dyed all panels and console to match the rest of the interior...the color of your interior is sem 17223 very dark Pewter look into it.
I tried 17113 Graphite it’s way to light, even tho the cap colors looks just like the interior color but the spray/liquid is not a perfect match. I looked up my rpo code interior color In the glove box right above or next to the paint code ,cross Referenced it and it came up as very dark pewter..
I have an 02 avalanche with the same interior. My advice is buy the bezel kit for a 2din. It snaps right up to your truck, or go with a 1din with a motorized screen. I don't like my 2din bezel but it could just be mine.
Looks great just got a parts Tahoe today taking parts off it to put on mine n was wander if you knew would a 03 steering wheel fit a 02 wanting the newer wheel in mine
Looks really good 👍 At 1st I didn't think it would but it does. My truck is a 02 single cab I just put in the 2 peace console in it. But after this I might have to switch lol. Keep up the good work.
I like it. But I think the gray triangle pieces really make the new lower pop. I did around my suburban bezel with metallic gray. Where the black goes around the radio and heat controls then around gauges. I think it would really help with yours. Maybe the seats the other way around. With the lighter colors outside. Like the CTS seats. Just something to think about. But then one up the CTS with the face of the head rest light the sides and back dark. Maybe embroidery in a SS logo into the head rest.
Getting set to add some graphite power seats that came out of an 02 or 03 Tahoe and a graphite 2 piece console out of a 00 Silverado/GMC into my 00 Silverado Stepside with graphite interior. You made it look so easy, I hope it will be for me. One question, on the 2 piece console, should I attached the part that connects up to the dash first, then attach the other larger piece or is it better to install the full console?
Great video, you showed way more than the others. I am about to do this myself. So is it possible to re-use my original glove box? Can I cut off the lighter section? How about the part under the steering wheel? how much will I need to cut?
@@TWAMotorsports Thanks, I'm going to pick up the console from the junk yard. i will get the other two dash pieces also. Ever put in an overhead console in a regular cab truck that didn't have one?

Good video! And thanks for the links. On eBay now there is an 03-06 Yukon/Tahoe console set. Looks exactly like yours. Do you know if that 03-06 will fit 99-02 body style?
How do you get your interior plastic panels to look so nice and almost like they have a dull shine to them? What cleaner do you use on them or is it a dressing?
Well now when you do the 5.3 in it you'll need to do a new column that doesn't have the gear selector and put a shifter in the console. If you haven't seen that man it looks freaking killer.
If I have a 2004 Chevy do I have to buy a lower steering column that came with the center console or I can use the same since it’s a 2004 not a 2002 and under
Can I just add the console without swapping glovebox and knee bolster??? Or did you just change to have all matching??? Or will console adapt to my existing glovebox and bolster??
I just found your page and as I'm restoring my dads 2000 GMC Sierra 4x4 you answer a lot of questions I have on things I want to do. My only thing is you mentioned in this video putting a new dash pad in but I didn't see a video on your page of you doing it. Have you done it yet? Or what company do you recommend? Mine is cracked pretty bad in several locations.
I appreciate your videos . Finally someone that understands how it feels to have attention to details.

Wont line up
Get the double din kit off eBay it’ll be easier. The 99-02 Hvac controls don’t fit in the 03-06 bucket and surround
Thanks for that info
I have the middle console that dies not fold down. How would I fix it to fold down or would I have to replace the whole thing?
Have to replace it
I’m trying to find one like you took out.
Good luck
Can you buy the center piece that connects the console to the dash? Do you have a part number?
No it is discontinued
Do you know how to do the power window swap , like a video or something
It will come at some point
Hey Travis what are you doing with the old middle seat. I’m trying to find one just like that for my Silverado.. thanks
Its sold already
I just found your page and as I'm restoring my dads 2000 GMC Sierra 4x4 you answer a lot of questions I have on things I want to do. My only thing is you mentioned in this video putting a new dash pad in but I didn't see a video on your page of you doing it. Have you done it yet? Or what company do you recommend? Mine is cracked pretty bad in several locations.
I don't like aftermarket ones. Try to find a good one in a salvage yard honestly
Now I want to add a center console to my 2003 extended cab Silverado
Do it.
TWA Motorsports I’m assuming I would have to find one without the rear ac controls on the back?
No you don't have to
TWA Motorsports ok. I would just have non functioning air vents in the back?
Looking pretty good 👍👍👍
Thank you
