It's very ironic that you got pulled over (sort of) in a car with no plate that Rich has the title for. He got in a lot more trouble with the RS7 when test driving it with no plate...
These old amg videos is what makes your channel awesome! Please don't abandon them completely. Everyone is doing supercars but not everyone has your passion for mid 2000s amgs!
Don't ever stop making content on these cars! The W211 is arguably the most attractive body style. The cars have a lot of modern amenities without being impossible for people like me to work on. We have three W211s in my family; 2 of my sons drive E350s and I drive an E55. Your E55 videos taught all of us a lot about working on our own vehicles...my 17 year old changed his conductor plate by himself because of your videos changing out the valve body on yours. Great channel Alex! After watching your first few videos about your W211 and researching the reputation that these cars have for being Camry reliable if maintained properly, I got the fever and had to have one. Within a few weeks, I found a clean, 2-owner Black on Charcoal E55 with 98k miles (in Naperville!) with good carfax/maintenance history and bought it sight unseen 5 states away. I didn’t lay eyes on it until it was delivered a few days later! The dealership had a good ratings and very good pictures on their site and I did tons of my own research and plotted the cars life from the factory and factory dealership records up to it being traded and was pretty confident in what I had gotten. I actually avoided a few bad cars thanks to some of the advice you posted on your car. I followed your build and used FCP Euro and VRP for almost all of my parts and your discount codes have saved me tons! I somewhat mimicked your build and mine is almost it’s twin and I started with some maintenance (fluids, colder plugs, wires, coils) the ic pump upgrade, 76mm pulley and tune were my first upgrades thanks to your (and Tavarish with his SL55) how to and review videos for VRP and I have their secondary cooler and ball joints and thrust/control arms from FCP Euro on a shelf waiting for the spring. I enjoy your videos and I like having someone to blame with my wife when I buy stuff for my car! Killer Chiller, long tube headers and a fixed pulley are next! Please keep the videos coming, I’ll need something to watch while I’m in the doghouse...Thanks Alex and keep up the great work!
Hey Alex, Love your show. The Bas, Esp, Ets tri factor is normally the brushes in the brake controller start by checking the relay, than jump the relay to confirm motor or relay. Both brushes and relay are turbo cheap fixes.
13:21 you mentioning a cool car wash video reminds me of the $3000 paint correction video with the sedan you had, that was a cool one and the progression was great to see
Love your sense of humour. You did an amazing job introducing the Wagon and selling all of its issues. Really looking forward to seeing it come back to life. It appears to be in decent mechanical condition...with some cosmetic love I think it will be worth between 13 and 15. At the end of the day it is a rare AMG Wagon in the right color combo.
My 05 E55 wagon is a Canadian daily driver - snow tires every winter. I have the same rear wheel well rust and have been told I need to replace both rear panels to get rid of it, the rust starts inside the lip and works outward. Looking forward to how your guy takes care of it!

I know it may be repetitive for others, but I would love to see other w211 projects in the future, eventhough there won't be as many as the ones you had already did. I really apreciate your content and I would like to thank you for this, Alex. There's a guy in Germany, who's a fan of V12 BMWs from '90's and almost all of his projects are v12 BMWs of that era because he loves them. So, if you love the 2000s era of MB, keep doing it. For me, being a MB w211 fan, it's absolutely perfect to see projects like this. Keep up the good work and thank you for your funny and quality content ! 💪
Please keep up the old mercedes videos. I bought a 2003 e500 because of you (in Belgium), did the valve cover gaskets and other maintenance you have showed in your other vids and running like a champ. Now looking at a c55 wagon as a next purchase due to that m113 being such a good engine.
I felt that E60 comment!! Currently have a M5 in Indianapolis red, with a fault in the SMG that left me stranded. I’ll get to it eventually when I finish this damn house remodel. For now it sits in the” shame corner” of my garage. This Mercedes is one sweet ride!

You don’t have to go douchey (like you’re some kind of Producer or something), but if you have a Rolex it would be a good time to wear it!
