- Oxford Heated Grips Review. Here's my review of the Oxford Heaterz heated grips after using them for about a year. These are awesome grips that have been reliable and super effective at keeping me on the bike in colder weather. I'll talk about my experiences during the install, what I've learned about them, and how they work.

Man, that Oregon countryside looks just like England's green and pleasant land.😮 I was certain- before you spoke and mentioned where you were- that this was in England.
Great review. Just what I was looking for. 👌
Picked my adventure style set up today. Can't wait to install them on my Kawasaki ER-6n.
Greetings from Denmark. 🇩🇰 🏍
I just installed mine today can't wait to try em out
Let me know what you think! They were a game changer for me.
nicely explained. finally i know the difference between the different versions
Glad it helped! Thanks for stopping by.
I've got mine arriving this week!!! I can't wait
Thanks for dropping by. You’re gonna love those grips. So warm!
@@heybuck6588 hey u reckon anybody can fit these? I dont really wanna pay a mechanic it doesnt even seem hard to do lol.
Very helpful thank you
great video, thanks
Great vid!
Thanks!
very helpful
👍🏼🙏🙏
I experienced the same problem with the clutch side grip, super glue just didn't secure it. Ended up using some friction tape, like we used to use on hockey sticks, by wrapping the bar 1st. Great review by the way👍
🙏 Thanks for the ideas.
Thank you for your awesome informative video. I'm in the middle of buying one right now second hand in Melbourne. How much did they cost you brand new back then in USD
Hi, sorry I don’t recall what the cost was at the time. Hope the install goes well!
I have oxford heated grips on my 2011 Suzuki GSX 1250 fa.
They were fitted when I bought the bike pre owned, so I think they are a older model. They work well, getting pretty warm when on the 100% setting, and maybe have to turn them down a little. Only downside I think, is that the grips themselves are a quiet hard material, so you feel the vibrations more.
Ya I definitely don’t use the highest setting unless it’s a really cold day.
Big fan of your gloves actually! Would you please be able to tell me what they are and where you got them from?
Thanks. Made by Black Brand. Search “black brand men’s rally tan” on Amazon.
gross gloves
i put yam ones and they are great
Heat is good, no matter what brand. 👍🏼 😁
Do you think that I would need wind guards with these also in cold UK weather ? Or do these warm your fingertips to the point you don't see the need?
Backs of my hands do get cold on really cold mornings (3 or 4 C) so I wear warmer gloves. Otherwise the warmth at my palms seems to be enough.
@@heybuck6588 what are the cheapest gloves for cold weather that you would reccomend?
@@spidersav Hey just saw this. I have some Highway 21 "Granite" gloves that are warm and pretty good price. Cheers.
How long do they take to heat up? My commute isn't very long (15mins or so).
Not long at all. I would guess 2 or 3 minutes.
Also will these make the battery go flat over time?
If you forget to turn them off there’s a safety circuit that’ll turn them off after about a minute. So, never had a problem.
@@heybuck6588 ok thanks one last thing u reckon someone with moderate bike experience can fit this themselves?
Ya. Just watch a few install videos first. There some good ones out there.
@@heybuck6588 thanks bud subbing 🙂
Do they have on and off switch or are they always on?
There IS an on off switch. 👍🏼
Seriously man! Did you not watch the video! And even if you didn't why would anyone make heated grips which don't turn off 🤷🏻♂️
What a stupid question. I really hope I don't come across you on any road anytime soon.
Do they turn of when the engine is of or still run
They do turn off after about one minute if you forget to turn them off. I’ve tested that! (Unintentionally)
@@heybuck6588 i got heated grips but their not oxford ones like cheaper ones they still heat rhe grips obviously but they keep running even if the bike isnt on left the bike for 2 hours and the battery had drained was gonna change them for the oxford but which ones would be best for my bike
Ya maybe try the Oxfords! 👍🏼
@@heybuck6588 im thinking the sport version best for my bike
I just can't get over the wires sticking out like that
Ya, I don’t love that either. But the warm hands on a freezing ride makes me forget about it. 👍🏼
I ride 100k a yese
. These last a month a time looking for something else. Water always kills the controller.
Nie
Goodness, could they not have spent 5 more minutes designing a less hideous and cheap looking controller!? My hands will happily freeze off before I add that monstrosity to my cockpit…a man has some pride 😂
😂👍🏼
@@heybuck6588does the look of the controller not bother you??
