Here's a review of the Sedici Strada II helmet that I picked up a few months ago. My impressions of this lower-priced street-style helmet, along with a quick review of an inexpensive GoPro mount I found on Amazon that works well with this helmet. Unboxing the Sedici Strada II helmet (and unintended review of the AGV X3000 helmet)
Переглядів 7 тис.3 роки тому
Sedici Strada II unboxing! I bought the awesome AGV X3000 helmet and after riding with it for a while, decided it was not awesome for me. So I got ahold of the Sedici Strada II and here I do an unboxing, cheek-pad and liner removal and visor install. Along the way I also give my thoughts about why the AGV X3000 wasn't the right helmet for me, even though it's a great helmet in general. Looking ...
XSR700 SW-Motech front fender unboxing, and other upcoming mods
Переглядів 1,8 тис.3 роки тому
Unboxing the SW-Motech fender for the XSR700 and looking at some other parts I've gotten to modify the look of the front end of the bike. I'm hoping to get these all on at the same time; look for an upcoming video of that install. My goal is to black out the front of the bike, which is a look I like on various builds I've seen of the XSR. SW-Motech (fender): sw-motech.us/ EMGO (fork gaiters): w...

Yamaha XSR700 stock Exhaust Mod and back again: How to undo holes in your exhaust!
Переглядів 16 тис.3 роки тому
Here's my journey trying out the "standard" stock exhaust mod on the XSR700. I wanted a better sound so I tried the mod found on UA-cam and elsewhere. It really didn't satisfy, so I looked for a way to "back out" of the change. And it worked!
Yamaha XSR700 Mods, current and planned

Here's an introduction to my bike, the 2018 Yamaha XSR700, and the mods and updates I've done. Also talking about some things I hope to do, and some nods to my favorite builds and styles. The goal in most of my changes was to get the job done at the least cost, but with decent-quality parts. I didn't go with "wish" or "aliexpress" products. I'm starting to learn that you get what you pay for. B...

If it wasn't for this video, I'd be out there drilling holes now. Thank you for sharing your experience and saving me the trouble. Great work on the plugs thats quite some good thinking. Have a good one!
I have the exact same bike. I LOVE it.
Hello man! Are you ok?
instead of pictures for forks just use a sharpie and mark it
Now we know what to do. Buy an aftermarket exhaust😂
I’ve messed mine up as well buddy we can but try 😮😊
Whats tire size?
Hi! 2018 XSR700 has 17” wheels, 120/70 on front, 180/55 on back.
Thank you for your awesome informative video. I'm in the middle of buying one right now second hand in Melbourne. How much did they cost you brand new back then in USD
Hi, sorry I don’t recall what the cost was at the time. Hope the install goes well!
Hey Buck! Great review, I am looking at this helmet, guess it helps i just got a jacket and gloves (havent gotten anything new for 18 years) there's a great deal with the BT already preinstalled. You hit the points i was looking to get answered! Great all around video, loved how you presented everything with the looks, sound and a very well rounded audio video (music/voice over/gopro feed) Thank you!
Thanks for leaving a comment! Best of luck with the helmet. I still think it’s a solid choice.
Where did you find the torque specs?
For the price I believe this is the best helmet. Very comfortable, aggressive looking, really light for the price point.
Ya it’s been a great helmet. Checks a lot of boxes for little money.
I got the "geometric" design and red / white / black. For the money you really can't beat it. Super comfortable coming from my HJC.. I agree it's hard to lock, If you don't wear ear plugs you might get some wind noise
Sieht voll klein aus die Maschine
Man, that Oregon countryside looks just like England's green and pleasant land.😮 I was certain- before you spoke and mentioned where you were- that this was in England.
Great review. Just what I was looking for. 👌 Picked my adventure style set up today. Can't wait to install them on my Kawasaki ER-6n. Greetings from Denmark. 🇩🇰 🏍
Stick a fork in it, it's done .
great video, thanks
How long do they take to heat up? My commute isn't very long (15mins or so).
Not long at all. I would guess 2 or 3 minutes.
How is the Bluetooth and mic quality?
I have a Cardo Feecom 4 installed. Great sound quality and Mic.
how's the visibility during evening rides with the dark visor? I've been wanting to replace the clear lens but I dont want to compromise safety during the night rides.
Yeah, it’s not good. I don’t ride at night much, but if I do I switch back to my clear visor for sure.
how come u didnt get the MIPS version?
I don’t think the MIPS was available when I bought this. I didn’t see it on the shelves at cycle gear.
is this the mips or non mips?
No mips. 👋🏼
Lesson learned. Useful everyday of the week.
Why cant i just cut rhe gaiters open and wrap them around the forks instead of this process? Anyone know why it wont work?
thats a really nice tail-tidy! what did you do / get? *i live in europe
🙏 I got that from TST Industries in the US. tstindustries.com
How's the sound quality of the cardo speakers in the MODULAR helmet, in regard to wind/road noise?
Is it loud enough even on the highway? Thanks a lot for the video!!
love the black face sheild. which one did you buy?
👍🏼 It’s been a while, but I think the tint was just “dark smoke “
Got mine today and switched the visor later in the day I was showing my friend how easy the visor change was and the side piece where the visor clips into will not stay going from the top after the first notch it disconnects when u get to the second notch
Hello, what kind of tiers your Yamaha has?
Hello! Shinko 605.
I’m interested in this helmet. Especially with the included Bluetooth, and safety features, the price point is phenomenal. My only drawback is I heard it doesn’t vent great and the visor only has 3 positions, Closed, slightly open and full open. In the summer I like to ride with my shield close to 3/4 open to get a breeze.
I ride 100k a yese . These last a month a time looking for something else. Water always kills the controller.
Is it really worth getting a tinted visor for it if you already have the drop down sun visor?
Good point. It may be overkill for some. My eyes are really sensitive to direct, bright sunlight, especially glare off windows and bumpers. So personally, I love it.
Love it but hate that it fogs up instantly
I had this problem for a bit but I work at a car wash and the fix was to spray a ceramic coat on the front and inside (I always hit my vape inside my helmet) but after just a quick spray I’ve never had fogging and it’s been months and doesn’t fog 🔥 (even after I laid my bike down my helmet wasn’t damaged (bad) but a few scratches “even on the visor” but the ceramic coat is still alive!!
@@EjuiceMoto yea I got some chemical guys ceramic windows spray. I just tried the dawn soap trick and it's not to bad. Thanks for that I'll try that today
Hi there... this might sound like a weird question, but how tall are you ? I'm 5' 7" and trying to figure out if I could flat foot an XSR.
I am also 5’7”. I could flat foot except foot pegs are in the way. But I definitely feel stable on it, both feet on the ground enough to control the weight easily.
Is there more range of view wirh the helmet? I tried the AGV and i like the peripheral view but did not like the bubble head shape of the helmet
I just got one this weekend ,the same yoi got!! Feels great! The only thing is my glasses, hard to put it on!!
Dude thanks for experiencing it for of us all! I was considering to do that mod but i was not sure about the sound quality. You made it crystal clear when you said rumbles were dirt bike alike:)
I'm 2 months in to my Sedici Strada Primo with photochromic lense and have the same problems as you and everyone in thr comments section. Regardless, I love it. I can fit my prescription glasses in as well. My next helmet will be an HJC i71 and eventually a Shoei rf1400
What size did you get the gaiters in?
Goodness, could they not have spent 5 more minutes designing a less hideous and cheap looking controller!? My hands will happily freeze off before I add that monstrosity to my cockpit…a man has some pride 😂
😂👍🏼
@@heybuck6588does the look of the controller not bother you??
I have Scorpion Exo T1200 mainstay helmet its my third helmet and I mounted GoPro on chin mount and added Steel Mate H3 helmet light and Cardo Freecom 4 plus and looks great! But I have try it out yet because till need little work on my Piaggio MP3 250ie!
Thank you for unbox and info on the helmet!
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching my video. 🙏
I just got the frame sliders today, amazing build quality. What are those tires? Looks good!
Thanks! Those are Shinko 705’s
Where did you get your visor
Hi. Got it at Cycle Gear online when I bought the helmet. I have an unboxing video if you’re interested.
Hello. I would like to know what the inner diameter of the gaiters is. Thank you.
Hi, can you do a close up video on how and where you installed the speakers? I know they're inside where our ears should be but do your ears bump into the speakers when you're putting your helmet on? Does the placement get messed up?
Hi, I don’t have that helmet anymore so I can’t show that close-up. But it can be a tight fit because there is not a deep pocket for the speakers. I have a narrow head so the speakers did not get bumped when I put the helmet on, but you may have a different experience.
I have a bell qualifier, and absolutely love it,best helmet I’ve ever owned! But for long trips,or trips with a lot of stops,I need a modular, and was looking at the sedici modular with Bluetooth
"Hey buck" most if not all levers. Aren't made to be closer. Due to the fact of "friction point". They're made to be further away. To aid with noticing the "point of friction". Also to assist with "greater interaction/contact".
Thanks for the insight! 👍🏼
I got myself a Cardo Freecom 4+ replacement control unit for 55.95 and Audio & microphone kit for $43.29 because cheapest buy it this way 😄!
