It would be really cool if they come out all of Vinnie Paul Drum kits set pack from his albums before Cowboys from Hell to Hell Yeah. To pay tribute to keep Vinnie Paul's legacy alive.
Dale Weber CFH and Vulgar Display especially. Those two albums have the most brutal, powerful, hard hitting drum sound of any metal album still to this day, IMO
In EZDrummer 2 they feature Vinnie Paul's signature Pearl snare....it's one of the best sounding snares in all Toontrack products.

I have to say, with the recent releases from Neural DSP or Mercuriall, the EZmix guitar tones don't sound that good in comparison... But then they're also very simple to use and don't require a lot of CPU, so they're still my favourite for writing demos.

I’m looking at getting into recording, my own stuff and covers, and was looking into getting a Mac Pro and logic, is this what you use/would you say it was the way to go? or is a high end pc and other recording platforms better? Let me know what you if possible 👍. Just found your channel and Love the vids man , sub’d straight away .

Hey Ola, cheers from New York. I'm wondering how you would approach editing drums that you've converted to midi (But kept the Overhead tracks) . I try and high pass the overheads as much as possible but I still have to manually edit them to keep the snare / toms transients in sync with the edited midi. Is there an easier way?

Is there a way of recording a DI track while having some kind of playback running into an amp or something so I can hear distortion even though I won’t be recording or using that sound? It’ll just be a reference then use EZMix2 to actually change the amp sounds

Howd you get it to sound so good? Why does mine sound like hell?
Toontrack support helped me out a bit. They recommended I drop the input gain to around -10dB, and that helped a lot. Still sounds pretty bad though, even after EQ and Comp. I wish Ola would tell us how he is getting such good tone out of it...

Turn the input gain on your interface all the way down to 0 ... that worked for me and now mine sounds good

I want to learn how to use this stuff soooo bad. I have hundreds of hours of snippets of songs and lick ideas but no complete songs to speak of. Programming any kinds of drums is my biggest weakness. I’m no drummer and not even sure how I would program them behind my riffs or what type of drum pattern would even sound good. I need a real drummer to help me compose.
I got EZDrummer 2 on release day in 2014.....yes it takes time, but you'll get there.

That’s what I did and it’s a lot of fun. I’m no drummer either but try listening to your favorite bands drummers and watch how they play and what they do. Basically become a drummer in your head. I tend to create drum tracks around my guitar playing. That’s what I like about using a pad controller for drums. Record your riff then just play drums over it on the pads. You’ll come up with something.
Get an affordable (some may say cheap) usb interface and download Reaper (for free) and some other free amp sims. Plug in and start jamming dude.

But... stupid question... DRUMS OF DESTRUCTION is an EZX pack. Can I use it with SD3?
I don't think so. I think he used SD3 just to convert the drums to MIDI, and then loaded the midi file into ED2 with the drums of destruction.
Yes, all EZX's can be used directly in SD3. The graphics will not be as detailed as in EZdrummer 2 but on the other hand you get access to all the tools in SD3.
