The reason straight men are so embarrassed to call to a trans-woman "attractive" is because people (erroneously) label a man being attracted to a trans-woman as "gay." Sure, straight men should be more courageous and unashamed, but there's a big problem with society shaming straight men who admit being attracted to any trans-woman; this type of shaming needs to stop.

Honestly, I like the interviewer's reaction most of all when those two guys just ran off. The confusion over how they reacted was very relatable to me.
And I like that she found someone who's also transgender, and discusses what nonbinary means!
I will never understand the knee-jerk reaction of putting someone down in an attempt to back peddle. I wish there was a button that could be pressed that would send a dose of empathy to people in need.
Peer pressure and mob rule is the way of the world. People are very ignorant & selfish as a whole, The state of the world is a reflection of our overall consciousness level. That should tell you we have a long ways to go.

I'm a bit surprised that the Nordic countries, Sweden, are as narrow minded as these people appear. I thought their education system and general free thinking would make them more understanding. Wow, the world needs to wake up, understand and be kind.

I recently told my family I was Trans gender, they weren't quite as supportive as your family but it's true the shock is real. I mean, they've seen me as a man for 32 years.... I have also cut some friends out of my life. I am so ready to be my true self, and you are such an inspiration and I love your videos!
My family seen me as a woman for 30+ years. When I came out as nonbinary they all raged calling me confused and brain washed and yelling "There's only 2 genders" etc
I'm now 40 and don't even talk to most of my family and have lost friends but I'm finally myself

I am Dutch too.. living in Norway...and recently crawled out of my egg.. i almost had to puke.. it was så hard to see the video (Even worse for us as natives speakers i guess)
Not just dutch, unfortunately... It's the same here in Portugal. But I guess there are also people who are a bit more educated and respectful of others. Anyway, the most important opinion is the one you have of yourself!

That chick knew exactly what she was doing when she made this video. She is not trying to be “pro trans” when she sets you up to be rated purely on looks by men, and then throws in the “well you know she’s transgender right?” It’s to embarrass both you and straight men who possibly aren’t very educated on trans. Well I'm glad you got paid for them using your photo but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. I'm happy that she was correcting them when they said you are a man. You are not a man. Born male sure, but that was decades ago. You are a woman now, and if anyone thinks otherwise they aren't up to date with current science and information. It just goes to show you that a lot of people are geniuses at being ignorant. Being beautiful is nice but that fades with age. You are a genuine person and that lasts forever. You're amazing girl!!
As someone who is both fluent in German and English, I am surprised how good I understood Dutch. I didn't even need the subtitles most of the time to know what they said

I hope I am not the only one who thinks like that. By the way those people with their "old-fashioned" world view are probably everywhere to find in this world. We only find what we are looking for, so we should look also for good people with world views like the ones we have for a change. We are out there, remember. I think a big issue as well is that A LOT of people aren't super informed about it so they make assumptions, i learned a lot with your videos, so i can understand some people having doubts about it because they don't know a few things, however, that doesn't give you an excuse to be rude or a shitty person tho. So always be kind with everyone regardless of your opinions.

I know a Woman who said "Trans Women have no right to use the label 'Woman' because it is our (revering to herself) word that only we should use." She also told me off when I said I'm a Cis Man and she's a Cis Woman. Saying "I'm not a Cis Woman, I'm just a Woman. Using the term Cis is making me feel less of a Woman." She also has issue with Trans Women using Womens spaces such as toilets just in case they're predators. But in her mind she is not Transphobic.
It’s so sad that those men could see your beauty, but their preconceived notions about transgender people made them turn against the idea of you being trans.
It's even sadder that you care what random men think of a person's physical appearance.
@@KingstonHawke It’s a litmus test about the people. It’s a way to see how things are going in the world about the issue of trans folk. The larger the sample size of people asked, the more accurate the results. For some people, it’s hard to not care about what others think about them. Depending on their mental makeup, it can be necessary for receive approval from others.
Having no connection to the person means that you get more honest answers, generally speaking. Friends can tell you what you want to hear, so getting an outsider’s perspective can be helpful in that way.
Cognitive dissonance is also a factor here. Straight men that find trans women attractive is not abnormal. These men can be ashamed when they find out about the person being trans for several reasons.
I get that you might not care at all about anything I said here, and that’s your prerogative. I just test to help people understand a bit better. I’m a teacher by nature.

But it's irrelevant. If all you know about a person is their appearance, that's all you have to go on when forming an initial opinion about them.
Clothing is no different. If I see someone dressed up in typical gang attire, I'll assume they're part of a gang and best to avoid them. Doesn't mean they are part of a gang, but why take the risk?

The people who had negative reactions are foreign immigrants from Africa and the middle east where LGBT are outlawed and persecuted. If you notice the European Dutch dont have a problem since their culture is more open minded.

Herein lies the rub... someone can acknowledge that you are attractive, and that they are attracted to you, but when faced with the fact that you are transgender, they then question their own sexuality. They struggle with separating their narrow perception of what you "were" and what you are. Some will argue that if they fell in love with you and wanted to start a family they would feel betrayed, blah, blah, blah... but what it comes down to is the fear that their attraction to you means something different about their own sexuality, as opposed to simply being attracted to the *woman* that stands before them.
Right and the whole 'start a family' rhetoric hurts cis women and AFABs in general. There are so many ways to start a family. Adoption, surrogate, sperm donor. There are cis women who can't get pregnant. So would these same men feel 'betrayed' if their GF or wife was infertile? I'm agender AFAB and I'm infertile. I actually have a conversation one that went like this:
"Do you have kids."
"Unfortunately, no."
"You don't want kids?"
"No, I do."
"Then why not have some?"
"I'm infertile."
"What's infertile?"
"I can't get pregnant."
"Oh, why not?"
"I dunno, I tried, I just can't."
"Maybe you haven't met the right guy."

I like that it was you in the photo and that you could react to the reactors. They really are transphobic and that is how it is in 2023. Most people are really bothered by trans people unfortunately. Even if you are so passable it doesn't matter. I can never pass and that makes my life so much more difficult. I am trans feminine but identify as non-binary only because I could never pass. Very difficult to be trans in the US or anywhere for that matter. Hugs to you sweetheart.

well it's probably going to hurt quite a bit for a while because for bottom surgery they basically invert the penis, and the nerves are going to hurt while they find each other, but if you really want this then it shouldn't be too bad right.
You don't need this surgery to be accepted you can be the way you are God made you like this this must be the best thing you could possibly be

See, I've been to the Netherlands, twice. Have actually travelled to a lot of places there (Valkenburg being my absolute fave wee place, there!) and have Dutch friends. I watched the video of your life and all I can say is that you were born a girl and it looked to me like your mum knew from an early age. You are pretty and in any group, or competition, big or small, you would stand out for your beauty and your photographs are a fantastic record of yet another story of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly. Spread your wings like a butterfly does and just be you.
