It does and I feel sometimes we as in a person who is incredibly feminine and been thinking of transitioning. I think not just us apart of the community but is in all groups that tells us we’re different is we just want to be accepted so bad to the point where we project our own inner lack of acceptance of self to project that onto others. Like for me personally I haven’t started hormones or anything just shaved my face I have long hair and a nice body so I look more feminine because of certain characteristics, but sometimes I have fears to actually do things I want to do like get my hair done with a frontal etc because I don’t wanna look like a man in a wig, but everytime I step out everyone always say they thought I was a women at 1st. When they saw me even with my beard I had ppl coming to me like are you a woman. So it’s funny bc I don’t call myself a woman I just like the looks and my energy is very feminine so I want my look to match the energy bc it’s weird to me. Even how men treat me I don’t get treated as a man I always get told I’m one of the girls, but my own insecurities project that I’m seen different.

I see a beautiful bond between the sisters and mom. Mom is a hero for stepping up and nurturing her kids alone. He hurt his own family deeply for years. The recompense to forgiveness is harsh and cold. If he wants his family back, it is going to take time.

As a fellow member of the LGBT myself, I will say what I got to say and I don't care about nobody sensitivity. My generation and the generation after are too entitled and so beyond bratty, it's ridiculous.
Yall don't get to dictate when someone chooses to accept you the way you feel, how you act, how you personify yourself when you want them to do so.
Acceptance takes time and if you were so confident in yourself, you wouldn't have to require someone to accept you or needed validation because you've already be in the position of self-respect and love for yourself and the other person. It's your business.
I'll always be My Father and Mother's Son, no matter what I am or choose to be. They will always see the little boy they grown up with that was full of humor and smiles and I am still that but in a transition. It takes time and a lot of patience. Don't rush the process. Get out your feelings, make nice, let it go, be good to thy mother and father, friends, and family.
Nothing is worth ruining a relationship over pettiness that isn't warranted. My other issue is for these peers of mines who dwell on the past but never want to accept the future. For those who are still complaining that they parents were never there for them but they still in their life, cherish these moments you have with them now.
Don't be petty and dwell on stuff you had no control over. Not to dismiss the pain yall felt but why keep the grudge for, it's nothing helping either or side. Periodt! Have a blessed one.

I am part of the queer community, And this honestly pisses me off.
People need to realize that parents grieve the loss of what and who their child used to be. They have to grieve that loss of a child, no matter how it looks to other people. Everyone deals with grief differently.
Maybe in the beginning the dad was not accepting, And i'm sure that was hurtful for the kids. But he's making an effort now and they are pushing him away. They think they have some huge point to make but they're only making themselves look bad.
They won't let him talk. They keep throwing the past in his face.
They clearly don't want reconcilication. They don't want to move on and they don't want to see that he is sorry and that he does love them.
They want all the understanding and empathy in the world but they don't seem to have any to give in return.
He did not say that he didn't love them, He did not say that he didn't accept them. But he did admit to making some mistakes. No one is perfect. They need to focus on his efforts now if they actually want to move forward. Otherwise they need to stop, leave him alone and go live with their victim mentality.

There was no resolution here. The closure was underlined by gaslighting and marginalizing the man using as ammunition his past mistakes. He tried calling and was blocked. Both children are adults, and like the father, should be held accountable for making an effort to try to mend the relationship. This was pinning the man into an ultimatum corner! His opinions on the matter were not valid. Certainly, he is not an emotional guy; however, one can see that he has an attachment to the son he once had, and to disrespectfully saying he’s dead must be heartbreaking. The father needed time to heal from that. Unless, all parties (mother included) change their outlook, the same cycle will just continue.

You don't have to rub things in people's face, it comes across as you're bullying them. It's crazy how people can easily call a bigot and child molester who lost an election a president, or a layperson a pastor just because they ask, but oh no, not the trans people, we can't be nice and call them as they ask. It doesn't cause you pain to respect a person's wishes and be nice. And he DID do wrong when he was in that abusive relationship with the mother, and wasn't there to be around his kids. Stop dismissing his wrongdoing because you have a hangup about a person's personal struggles. Because before anything these are all people.
