I am going to tell a little bit about my history with my wife, she is from Colombia, and all I can say is that she was born male, but with the time she was in a treatment to replace her hormones, and then she replace her genitals from penis to vagina.
I fell in love with her since the first time I saw her, I got married and U am happy, that means that she always gonna be a woman in all senses, sometimes I think that nature gots wrong.
We can not judge them, I just want to love my wife for the rest of my life.

If it wasn’t for you gals sharing your experiences and stories I would still be so clueless to what I’m experiencing and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel for me! I hate this girl felt the need to make a video about Samantha just to try to invalidate her womanhood and make fun of her surgeries like she has any idea what it must be like to undergo all of that just to feel comfortable in her own body. Hi Matilda, loved this video and your commentary but at the same time it made me so sad to once again view such blatant transphobia. As the Mom of a trans son, it makes my heart ache for all the hatred, ignorance and bigotry out there. My hope is that one day, people will stop being so awful and open their hearts & minds. Or at the least, display some actual empathy. 😔❤

They always have this "Women are only people who can get pregnant" even though there are also cis women who can't have babies and there's also trans guys who can have the ability to have babies and they're not women so I hate this argument

There's also the entire problem that arises when you attempt to define something in terms of non-actualized possibilia. If a woman died without getting pregnant, she certainly cannot get pregnant now. We also know, with the benefit of hindsight, that she could not get pregnant if she relived her life exactly as it occurred. Is she no longer a woman? Now that she's dead, is it even accurate to say she _was_ a woman, knowing what we know now? Do we retroactively revoke her womanhood, as she was incapable of pregnancy as an empirical matter?
And what about the fact that pregnancy cannot occur spontaneously? Is it a real, actual possibility that a woman with no access to sperm can get pregnant? Can witholding all access to sperm constructively "de-woman-ize" someone? If all sperm-producing people died tomorrow and the world's stores of semen all evaporated, would there no longer be any women?
How about atypical "people", or the potential for artificial pregnancy? If a uterus were transplanted into a male, would he now be a woman? What about a dog that underwent the same operation? Could an artificial intelligence of sufficient sophistication to be granted personhood be a woman if outfitted with a synthetic uterus? Could a corporation that owns such a uterus, before it is installed into such an intelligence, be a woman?
It's a loser of an argument, for sure. It's just so obvious that the assignment of womanhood is so necessarily heuristic that it essentially boils down to accepted cultural standards.

Vanessa is a pretty name. If you look up the definition of 'privileged,' I think you might see a picture of this particular Vanessa. I really think that she is mad at men who have treated her badly. Instead of complaining about the source of her anger, she sees trans woman as an easy, somewhat socially acceptable target for her anger. She then can feel like she is a big defender of womanhood, from someone who poses no threat at all. Vanessa, your self righteousness doesn't show strength, it only shows desperation and weakness. As a trans woman myself, my transition is about making me a whole as possible so that my dysphoria is diminished to the point of survivability. I have never, in my life, been a man nor have I ever wanted to be.

We don’t choose. I’m cisgender-assigned female at birth and feel like a woman today. While I can and sometimes do traditionally masculine things like lift weights and don’t shave my legs, I can’t choose to become a man in the inside even if I tried. Trans people don’t choose any more than cis people.
Trans people can choose to transition, just as cis people can choose not to transition. Gender itself isn’t a choice.

Even invalidates men who proudly take on more traditionally feminine roles. It’s not just a misunderstanding/dislike/hatred of trans people, but of all people

Hi Mathilda, I’m not trolling but trying to really listen here. I agree that a trans-woman is a trans-woman and a biological woman is a woman- not a cis-woman.
If one’s medical, social, and mental transition to a trans-woman status is to alleviate gender dysphoria or any other motivation, I don’t think it’s appropriate nor logical to consider a trans-woman and biological woman in the same category, because biological and physicolgically they will always be in separate categories.
I’m not a radical feminist. I don’t hate or wish harm or additional pain and rejection on anyone. I don’t say this without having sincerely read relevant information.
I cannot see myself ever being ok with referring to biological women as cis-women as if biological femaleness has not been the standard since the beginning of living things. Trans-women are a deviation from the standard and equality movements cannot change the fact even if the language does.
Women, and as a trans-woman I’ve sure you’ve experienced it, are vulnerable to specific abuses and women see trans-women desperately wanting the affirmation they long for as understandable, but illogical and goes against and belittles the literal fibers of our bodies. We can acknowledge you exist, deserve a voice, and require specific care, but cannot change specificity realities or refuse to acknowledge classification difference that cannot be undone with language.
I want to hear your voice and thoughts. I hope this came across as respectful as I just think the world needs more bridge building.

I feel so so SO many people have no ides what Gender Dysphoria is. I lived with it my entire life and had no idea what it was until just now at the age of 35. THIS IS NOT A CHOICE. It's not a lifestyle. My brain literally identifies as WOMAN and gets massive dysphoria when it sees a male face in the mirror. This is a real thing and it is very hard. But I feel so alive that I finally know what it is and am transitioning.
then please a therapist. most trans people deal with trauma from childhood why they feel this way. your brain can do crazy stuff when being traumatized, i saw alot of testemonies where people where delivered from transsexuality and mostly also homosexuality and they all were traumatized in their childhood or teenage years

We are *biological* males and females because we are not altering or bodies. We are leaving them alone as nature intended us to have them. We are NORMAL. Yes, I know, some of you will be offended for my usage of "normal, but guess what? It works both ways because I and many others do not like being referred to as "cisgender". I am 37 years old, and it is not a word we grew up with. Just stay with the facts and refer to us as "biological males/females".

I know this is an old video but felt a comment is in order. Unfortunately there is a lot of misinformation about gender dysphoria, and the amount of genders that exist in the human race. There are at least 6 genetic genders in the human race, and 3 phenotypes male, female, and one that is nether or Intersex. Also it seems Vanessa hasn’t looked into the WHO or WPATH info on gender dysphoria as it has long since been recognized by the WHO and has been a valid diagnosis since, I think about ICD8 (we are now at somewhere around ICD10 or ICD11 (International Classification of Diseases). Further more many cultures both past and present recognize more than two genders. I could go on to list these 6 genetic genders but info abounds on the Internet about it, for those interested. Mathilda keep up the good work, I love it and yes I subscribed to your channel awhile back.

I can’t understand the experience of being trans either. What I find most difficult to understand is why people are so against it. No one can know what’s going on in someone’s head, their experiences, or anything that really makes them who they are.
