The fact that they didn't put the voodoo in it, was the smartest move Ford made. I didn't buy the 350 because of that engine. The 350 was a beta test for the Mach 1 HP.
Update: Ford moved the start date to Nov 8, then Dec 27 then a week later canceled my order all together. Apparently they can't complete the handling pack cars. Thanks for nothing Ford!
Shaker is missing because of DOT safety recertification work is costly and time taking. Basically if you come out with a NEW hood as a manufacturer, you must provide crash test to show it crumbles properly and will not enter in cabin and decapitate driver/passenger ( in case of crash) . That cost a lot of money in RD and manufacturing resulting even a higher price and delays manufacturing.
Do,you think this Mach1 without the HP is better than a GT Premium? I reserved a 2023 Mach 1 without the HP with a Tremec and the elite ok and Mach1 appearance ok I. This same color combo with the comfortable standard seats in leather. It’s $63 MSRP.
MAch 1 is worth the money because the true cost is how much you buy it for vs the sell price and that is a model that will hold its value extremely well. Very little depreciation and long term it will be a collectible. Thank you for trusting me with your question and allowing me the oppurtunity to help.
@@Johnnyscarcarereviews - Thanks, I’m debating whether to,trade a 2022 BMW 230i for,the Mach1. The 230is great and a luxury and refined car that gets great MPG, but the Mach1 with the Tremec is going to be lots more fun…would you agree? Tough choices. But all good.
I’m not tracking it and I thinking of buying a Mach1 without the HP. It’s the same as this except for no HP. Adjust for street use but still better value than a GTPremium?
Gt mremium is great value but Mach 1 is collectable. If you are buying for the the 30 year buy and hold go Mach 1. If you just want to have some fun for a couple of years than GT premium.
It's not much harsher than a GT. Car and driver would agree as they said it's not much to moan about on harsh roads. I can say it's worlds better than driving a lowered 94 or 2000s mustang. I'd say it's only a little harsher than my 2018 GT and very similar to a 2021 PP1.
Price comparison.. 2021 Mustang GT 301A PP1 w/MR $55,000 CAD vs $69,000 CAD 2021 Mustang Mach 1 600A (base tires) Very unlikely you'll get a discount off the Mach 1, meanwhile it's easy to get at least another $3k discount on the GT. So that's a $17k price difference PLUS tax. If you are tracking your car every weekend, the added coolers and Tremec will be a huge benefit, but at that price it's better to just buy a low mileage GT350. OH ya, the price difference for the above comparison in the US is only $5000 USD. Once again the Canadians getting the shaft.
All very good points on your part. With the low volume of cars at dealers this summer though I would no longer expect a 3000 discount on a PP1. Also used PP1 are going for huge prices making its resale also very interesting. Used GT350 have skyrocket. I was looking T a few in 2018 and 2019 and the prices are higher now then back then. Thank you for making some excellent points and adding to the community
@@Johnnyscarcarereviews Hey Johnny, this is true about limited stock. I guess it depends on the dealer. I currently own a 2019 GT PP1 10R80 and was looking to get either a 2021 Mach 1 or 2021 GT manual. There are some dealers in my area offering a few thousand off a GT while giving me top dollar for my trade. Still not sure what to do yet. Another point is some dealers will take your order for a 2022 Mach 1 so when the order banks open you'll be first in line. Around my area there are several 600A Mach 1's available while the 700A Premium are extremely rare (I think they all went to the US). 😊
That's a great question. In our area, rims are steely's and mags are wheels that are not made from steel. Wheels, however, indicate Add wheel and tire set up. It's just a local dialect discrepancy. Sorry for the confussion

Yeah the Mach1 is not rare. The fact that you called it a “good investment” is crazy. Lol. It’s not a limited numbered production car. You literally can order it whenever however you want from any Ford dealership. Now, will it sell well. Probably not which will essentially make it “rare”. And btw the Mach1 Brembo brake package is the exact same as the PP1 GT which is also 6 pistons up front.
The Mach 1 with handling package is rare and cannot be ordered carte blanche. In the video I was pointing out that if the goal is to have à collectible mustang gt then the mach 1 with handling package is it. Dealers are extremely limited in the number of mach 1 handling packages they can have. My local dealer wanted at least 3 and could only get one while many other dealers got zero Mach 1 with handling pack. Thank you for clearly adding the 6 piston Brembo point. It's a good point for the solid value of a PP1, but it does not take away from the Mach 1. I pointed it out in my other video with photos of the PP1 mags and calipers.
@@Johnnyscarcarereviews the handling package is only “rare” temporarily because Ford doesn’t produce any car using cup2’s before a certain date. There is no limited number on handling package Mach1’s. I personally have 2 friends that have them and got them without issue. Any car that comes off a production line really isn’t rare or hard to get. Especially if they aren’t limited to a numbered build. Which the Mach1 handling package is not.
You make a good point about the term good investment. Cars rarely are and I should have said that the Mach 1 will depreciate far less then most cars and less than a mustang gt. So far 2017 gt350 have depreciated very little but anything that does not appreciate in value and at a rate greater than inflation is not an investment. It will take many, many years before we know if the Mach 1 with handling package is an investment or not. As for the ease of purchase for your friends it can be easy getting a Mach 1 if the dealer has an order left or 1 in stock, however, thus far the Mach 1 with handling package is being limited in the number of orders. And actually my local dealer couldn't even get a second Mach 1 even without the handling pack. Will that change? If it does I'll cover it. I remember in 2013 when my dealer had two Boss 302 for sale and many assumed that because the lot had 2 it was not rare and would not hold its value. I allowed myself to be convinced and regret not getting the red one to this day.
@@Johnnyscarcarereviews listen I agree but disagree in regards to value of the 350 The used car market is messed up due to covid. No. A 2016 gt350 was being sold for $40k used last year. The same car is worth $50k this year. This is because of covid and how hard it still is to get cars at the moment. This is temporary though.
