Thanks so much for watching! I hope you found this video on the 5 main elements of a successful launch of your Children's Book helpful. If you’re about to launch your children’s book, let me know! I can’t wait to cheer you on!
You and your wonderful videos have been such a huge blessing to me! I am writing my first children’s book finally (I’m 46!) and I feel like I have a trusted friend helping and guiding me each step of the way ❤️😊 I ordered your book, “How to Self Publish a Children’s Book” and it came in the mail this evening…I can’t wait to read it and apply you’re helpful strategies! Thank you so much and God bless you!
Thank you so, so much for saying this, Virginia! This made my day! I'm so happy you see me as your trusted friend! And I hope you love my How To book. Have so much fun along the way of writing your very own children's book!
Thank you very much, Eevi, for yet another very helpful video! You are a natural teacher, with a clear and thoughtful way of sharing your expertise so generously. Cheers to you!
Your information is spot on! I have published 2 books. I wish I would have found you 10 years ago when I started on this journey! Your guidance is valuable!
Thank you for the great tips, and yes, I'm dreading having to start a social media account and reach out to friends and family to try and assemble a launch team, but do so I must. Gruesse aus Sydney.
Hi Eevi! You spoke of using a social media page as part of the build-up for a launch, but how would the pre-release page gain traction? Especially on Facebook, where you can't really use hashtags etc? How do you get potential customers to find a page which doesn't have any releases attached to it?
Thanks Eevi! God bless you for all that you share with us up-and-coming authors. I am coming out of the shadows and seeking to hone my skills and your videos are so very helpful. I will be attending your Children’s Book University soon!!
Your videos are incredible & inspiring. They have given me confidence in my book and I look forward to publishing/launch. One question: I would like to send copies of my book to 12 "support group" members (who have yet to even know I have created a book). Their input for me would be immeasurable and I would prefer to send them a hard copy of my book (softcover version, please) so they get a better feel of the full presentation of my book. Plus nine of my major support group members have children to share the book with. So what venue is the best way (least expensive way) to get printed versions of my book before I publish? Thanks for sharing your wealth of information with the rest of us.
Hi Richard! Thanks so much for your kind words. I truly appreciate it! We can order pre-launch copies of our book from either KDP or IngramSpark. If this is your first book, I would suggest to go with KDP, since the setup is easier to navigate. When setting up your book on KDP, BEFORE hitting the final submit button, you will be given the option to order proof copies. Just note that (1) we can only order 5 proof copies at a time (but you can order as many times as you'd like), and (2) the proof copies will have a watermark running across the cover. I so hope this helps!
@@EeviJones Yes! Thanks you so much for the quick reply. This sounds great. This is my first book. By the way, I want to let you know that I just joined your university. I'm looking forward to this next chapter of my life. I have quite a few ideas brewing for my other books and I am also hoping to collaborate with my daughter in the near future as well. I am very excited & motivated. Thank you again!
Hi Eevi, I have two questions about the launch. 1. If you print your book in Dec 2023 for example, but you plan to launch in February 2024, what is the year of publication in the inside pages? Would it be 2023 or 2024 and 2. Is KDP the only way to create a children's ebook? A big thank you as always for your terrific content! x
I would choose the year of publication. So if you are having your book printed overseas, but it won't be published/ made available for sale until 2024, I would use 2024 as the year of publication. I so hope this helps.
Thank you so much for your videos. I'm watching all of them! How do you establish what your specific goals are? How many reviews/sales should be targeted?
I'm so happy to hear this! And our goals are completely up to us. The important part is that we do set one for ourselves, so that we have something to work towards. I personally always try to launch with a 10-20 reviews as a goal in mind. But if you, for example, have a large launch team that you know you can count on, then you can absolutely set a much higher goal.
Is it better for me to have as many people as possible buy and post a review THE FIRST DAY MY BOOK IS AVAILABLE ON AMAZON, or to spread it out over time? ie, 5 Day 1, 5 Day 2, 5 Day 3, etc. or maybe 5 Day 1, 10 1st week, 10 2nd week, etc. ??? I am using your 30-Day Launch program, but I just need to clarify. Thank you!
Happy Friday, Laura! I don't believe we need to spread out the posting of our launch team's reviews. You will find oftentimes, it usually takes people quite some time to take action, so the reviews will pop up on different days anyways. I so hope this helps! Have such a wonderful launch, Laura!
Thank you so much for your thorough and to the point explanations! I have about 5 illustrations left to do but trying to prep my mind for the launch thank you!
Hello Eevi Jones. Love from Nigeria. I found you video and other contents very helpful as my 14 years old daughter have written a children's book and we are planning to launch sometime this year. How can I contact you directly?
Hi Eevi, I hope you’re having a great day! Do you recommend launching the ebook version at the same time as you launch the print version? Or is it better to launch the ebook version a little earlier? Also, is it all right to send members of your launch team little gifts to let them know how much you appreciate them? Or is that frowned upon? Thank you so much…I really appreciate all you do!
I personally like to launch my ebooks and paperbacks at the same time. But that is completely up to you! By offering different formats, we provide our launch team with a cost effective option to support us, while making our paperback available at the same time. And as long as your gift isn't conditional (where your launch team would be required to leave their review in order to receive your gift), you should be good to go. I so hope this answers your question.
Yes, it does, thank you!! And no, I would absolutely not require them to do anything…I just want to show appreciation ❤❤❤ If you ever need someone on your launch team, I’d love to support and encourage you, as you have supported and encouraged me! God bless you!
Hi eevi.. Does your course teach how to launch to a person who's not active on social media? I have a FB account but I'm not active at all so will your course still be helpful?
Because we want to reach as many as we possibly can during our book launch, having access to a social media account is highly recommended, whether that's Facebook, Instagram, or any other platform that you or your friends and family usually use to stay in contact with each other. An active personal social media account would make things a lot easier for you, but if you have other means you can reach people with (via email, phone, or in person, for example), then that would work as well.
@@EeviJones thanks for your reply, does your course also teach about alternative promotion methods or it's focused on promotion through social media alone?
Hi Jacqueline! There are so many different domain name providers, and each has a slightly different interface. If you have specific questions, it might help to perform a google search PLUS the name of the domain name provider you wish to use. For example, [your question] + GoDaddy, for example. I so hope this helps!
I'm so happy you found this helpful! I have not created a video for ebooks just yet. But perhaps give the Kindle Kids Book Creator a try! It is very, very easy to use and does an excellent job! I so hope this helps!
