I formed an LLC for my books for legal separation and tax reasons and not as a publishing company. My book is being published by a hybrid publisher and my personal name on the cover. Should my LLC be named as the copyright or my name and the LLC after?

Although I feel it's no longer fitting so I changed it last night - and it allowed me to do so. First, is the organization name, the same as an imprint? Just wanted to get your thoughts before I publish my book in the next week or so. Thanks so much!
Hi Kiki! You're absolutely correct - whatever name you used during the purchase of your ISBNs would be the imprint/ publisher you would want to list over on KDP. And if you go directly to Bowker (where we purchase our official ISBNs) and request to add or change that name, they will be able to change that for you, which (it sounds like) you already did. Great video! What happens if we checked and see no one has used our imprint name, and then we use it and don't trademark it, and then later down the road someone else trademarks my imprint name? Not sure what the common law trademark does for this case. Also, I tried using the uspto site to search for LHC Publishing just to see if it pops up, and it doesn't. What happens if I didn't know you already use that name, and I choose my imprint name to also be LHC Publishing since that site shows that no one else is using it? I'm a bit confuse about this.
Thanks so much! I would go ahead and consider consulting with an intellectual property attorney for these specific questions. Generally, if someone were to use our name (even if it isn't trademarked) can still lead to legal issues, mainly because a company or individual can acquire "common law" rights to a brand name simply by using it in commerce. These rights can provide protection even if the brand name is not officially registered as a trademark. Regarding our name research, we can also simply use Amazon's search bar to see if a name is already in use. For example, entering LHC Publishing would bring up a number of my books. I so hope this helps.
The playlist “Frequently asked questions” has a video that doesn’t belong there. (You can tell which one because it isn’t by you and has a markedly different thumbnail) I sometimes make the same mistake with playlists.
Can’t I just create my own imprint and add it to my cover? And create a copyright page…and then just use KDP ISBN…I listened to so many videos and I laid down and looked at the sky and realized…I can just put my own publishing imprint…what other reason makes paying for my own ISBN worthwhile?

In your case, does the logo stand on its own, or do you actually write LHC publishing on the back of your books. Is the full unabreviated name (Loewenherz . . .) ever visible to the reader. You're so very welcome! You could simply use both. That's what we often see with big publishers as well. Penguin Young Readers Group (an imprint of Penguin Random House, for example) often simply has their logo on the cover, and then also its name (and logo) on the copyright page). I so hope this helps!
